Today was my second time at that store hoping it improved from when it first opened up. What a disappointment. This was supposed to be a mix between Whole Foods (wish Whole Foods would be there instead of this joke of a store) and Trader Joes. Well, let me tell you,...it is not even close to a Whole Foods. D & W seems to have more organic and gluten free foods than this store. What a disappointment. They have a little bit of everything but beware,....it is not all healthy. The deli is a joke. Nothing for a Vegetarian. Is the produce organic????...because there sure are no signs stating that it is organic. The bread counter seemed messy and the bread is NOT fresh,...at least not what I got. I do like that you can cut you bread. In addition, the cashiers are unprofessional, careless, and ignore you while checking you out,... talking to another co-worker. In addition, the store seemed dirty not as clean as the other three stores I give my business to. Rather go to Forest Hills Foods, D & W, and Harvest Health. I drive once a month to Ann Arbor to Whole Foods. Whole Foods is worth the 2 hour drive. Thyme market is not even worth a 15 min drive. What a joke of a health food store.

Hated it. Like one reviewer stated, the store the parking was crazy. The interior of the store was messy and crowded. The store seemed understaffed in certain areas...seems to me that most of the employees were near the check outs (chat chatting with their friends). The employees that I did interact with were not very friendly (compared to TJs were everyone smiles at me). A real bummer was the selection of bulked goods wasnt worth the hype (I believe they bragged they have a large selection of bulked goods). While I was at Fresh Tyme, I did get trail mix with m/ms. However, the chocolate coated candies were not m/ms, instead it was those gross tasting chocolate coated candies...talk about bummed out. Then the intercom...I guess Im so used to Trader Joes, where there is no intercom. TJs is a heck of a lot more peaceful place to shop because of it. I wont be back here. Instead, Ill continue to do business with TJs and Meijer.

I just moved here from Naoerville Illinois 6 months ago where I had grown to appreciate and trust Whole Foods. I have been at Meijers, not my idea of a grocery store due to cleanliness, Traders Joes has a fun and is clean, with fantastic customer service. Unfortunately, they do not have all the foods I am looking for. So I was hoping Thyme market would bring me full circle to a Whole foods type market. Wrong! The customer service was horrible ( I was there at 8 pm on a Friday night)Fruits and veggies looked great, otherwise Not a positive experience. The check out girl threw my fruits and vegetables down to the bagger and neither said hi to me or initiated a conversation. My 3 stars were for the better choice of fruits and veggies, unless they are all bruised now from being tossed around. Sorry for negativity but I was bummed.

This is a nice grocery store that has the health food aspect but doesnt include the bad smell of other health food stores Ive been in. They are fairly friendly here. Ive been there a few times when the salad bar was rank and had wilted ingredients. Overall though, it is a nice place to shop. They really should watch the salad bar though, because some people want to go just for the salad bar and if the ingredients have been sitting out all day, it is a wasted trip and some people wont come back. I love the pizza at the deli. I would put it against most pizza in GR. The product selection is broad and you can find most health related products that you hear about on a podcast here. Most of the workers are cool. Once in a while you will get a person at the checkout lane who is too cool for school, but overall they are nice.

Absolutely amazing place. Produce is always fresh and a huge selection. Bakery options always smell great and appear to be fresh. There is a salad bar available at lunchtime and an olive bar all day. The bulk food area is excellent if you are looking for a specific granola or healthy but option. There are grinders to make fresh peanut, almond, or cashew butter or if you are in a rush there is small packets available that were ground earlier in the day. There is a large selection of organic and non GMO personal products such as soap, essential oils, and over the counter remedies. Worth a visit if you have never been. Prices on produce are similar to what you would see at a big chain grocery store but prices on their groceries tend for be 10-15% higher than the competition.

Despite the fact that we really love Fresh Thyme Market, today we went expecting another lovely shopping experience only to walk through the bakery section where smashed grapes were dragged through the entire section across the walkways, then we got to watch a young man clean up spilled yogurt with a dry broom and a dust pan. Did he not get the class on cross contamination or enzymes, or milk spoilage? Doesnt this wonderful store to our city care? Is there not a store manager who looks out for this kind of stuff? I know the staff look like they just got out or are still in high school, but Im sure there are still students who reach excellence in their jobs. Sunday, May 1st, 5pm.

I am a die hard Trader Joes fan and I feel like Fresh Thyme is a great complement to what TJs has to offer for GR. The prices are higher no doubt but the selection is a lot wider. I would say overall I really enjoyed the experience, fresh baked breads, great bulk selection, grind your own peanut butter - so fun. Really happy to see their organic makeup and personal care selection. Again over all just a fun time. My only real critic is the staff; dont get me wrong they were not rude, on par with your average Meijer or Family fare employee, but if we are comparing, the Trader Joes staff is way friendlier. Just saying.

I would really love to give this place four stars. But they fall short when they tried to compare themselves to whole foods or Trader Joes. Dont get me wrong, if I lived nearby this would definitely be my go to. But its not worth traveling out of your way for. The concept is right its just poorly executed. The produce is pretty good, the meet is pretty good, seafood is mostly frozen but decent. There are a lot of bulk food choices, and a lot of skin care and health food offerings. But I have not been impressed with the employees in the store at all. I give them a B minus for effort and a C+ for execution.

Well besides the fact that all the good stuff in their store is only carried every other week and the rest of the good stuff is discontinued, certain staff members are utterly rude, unnecessarily blocking off walk ways and refusing to move even when they are aware of you trying to get through. They look directly at you and hold their butt out in front of you and completely ignore you. They shouldnt even work at a customer service establishment if theyre too stupid to understand they need to MOVE and not PURPOSELY stick their ENTIRE BODIES across the ENTIRE walkway. Jesus Christ...
