I love this place and have been a repeat customer for years. (Used them at least a dozen times.) They really know what theyre talking about, too! Before discovering these guys, I had visited a few other gold buying places and pawn shops in the area. They all gave me these measly offers for what I was trying to sell. Im so glad I found A2S&C because the offer they gave was hundreds, yes, HUNDREDS of dollars MORE than any other place! They actually pay you the price of gold or silver at that very moment, not some pathetic amount like $0.35 per gram for silver. If you are only into the "big guys" you see on t.v. or hear about on the radio or billboards, then these guys are not for you. This is a very small business but the two gentlemen there are EXTREMELY knowledgeable when it comes to this line of work. Very thorough, polite, patient and willing to negotiate. If they dont know something they will either research it for you or send you to someone who knows. Could use some redecorating but if that takes away from the quality of their work, leave it as it is! The only drawback is the 20 steep stairs you have to climb to get to the shop. Not handicapped accessible. But for the price difference, Ill gladly climb the stairs with both of my babies any day! I will forever be a customer of this place, as long as they will have me!

I have had the opportunity to visit this place 2-3 times a month, and I couldnt be happier with the service. I have visited a couple of places before stumbling upon this coin shop in Ann Arbor, and I am happy to do business with the gentlemen that run the store. The store could use a slight facelift and perhaps the website too, but if you take the time to visit and speak with the employees you will find them knowledgeable, fair, extremely helpful and accommodating. I personally have not pawned anything to this store, but while rummaging through the stock of what I personally collect, I have overheard many conversations about the value, type and quality of items being pawned, and Ive yet to hear anybody say or act as though they were being treated unfairly. When buying items, I have received great value compared to some of the other places I previously visited. Overall, Id recommend this establishment to anybody searching for reasonable and knowledgeable coin dealers in Ann Arbor, and its safe to say they serve my collecting needs.

This store is great. I was in need of an evaluation of precious metals, and received an honest evaluation of my product, a fair price, and a great deal. I am honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews below, as my experience was different. Both the gentleman I worked with (Pete), and another man who was kind enough to show me some of his collectible coins, were very kind and easy to work with. On another note, I was not there for the coins but was very impressed with their collection. They were kind enough to take out a couple Denarius coins from the early 100-200 ADs and even share with me some history about them. Great shop with lots of display, very helpful and reasonable staff. Drove 45 minutes to see them, and plan on doing it again when I decide to do more business.

Positives: Friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Negatives: None. Was in 4 times over the last month while liquidating an estate. This place offered the best experience Ive had, by far. They clearly are making educated decisions and also make their best effort to arrive at a price that is reasonable to both parties. Highly recommended.

These guys are friendly and professional. They seem to be the fairest of all of the coinshops in the area. Theyre also very knowledgeable about numismatics, and can answer just about any question you might have about the historical significance of the coins. I would recommend them for sure.

I went to see a value of a ring the said it was plated. Asked them to check a antique ring which I know is 18k white gold they told me it was also plated. I went to a certified jeweler a few days ago and it was indeed really 18k white gold. This place seems shady.
