This WAS my favorite place to get pierced, they were always so professional. I have had three dermal anchors, Monroe(upper lip), lower lip, two nostril & my septum all done by Piercing Emporium. Since I have moved back to Massachusetts from Florida I went there BC I wanted my septum pierced. From the min I walked through the door the elitist attitude was just radiating off this "woman" and her sidekick BC the main woman I could tell had WAY more attitude & you could just see that she wanted to be the Alpha female (LMFAO). Not only was she very rude and "like, ugh,why are you even bothering me,ughhhh" attitude. I ALWAYS raved about this place as I had nothing but amazing experiences before at this establishment. BC as you read I have had tons of piercings done here and when I lived here before and went to get pierced these women didnt work there. I did actually go in with my friend BC she wanted to get pierced so I thought why not give then another chance, maybe the woman was having a bad day (we all have them). Boy was I wrong!!!! This person even had the nerve to tell me how to handle my 15 year old piercing, which had NOTHING to do with her, she just rudely interrupted my conversation with her elitist attitude and the "Ugh,I am soooo annoyed FML" vibes that were not only noticed by me but by some fellow clients I was speaking to while there. They also stated they felt uncomfortable. I have to say I am SO uncomfortable to go to this establishment anymore BC of this person and another woman but she was so young I think she was just following the miserable girls lead. This is really sad for me since I only trusted your piercing staff fully and still want to get pierced. TBH I do not know why you all even have people working at your establishment with such bad and bitchy (there I said it) attitudes. I worked in a tattoo and piercing salon for 5 years in Florida and I never treated our clients like they were less than and never have I had an elitist attitude towards the clients or anyone in my life. I think it really says something about a person and maybe they shouldnt be part of a company that rely on sales BC the women I encountered have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS to save their life. Now, The reason there are any stars on this is BC their piercers are actually amazing!!! They are VERY professional and I believe that they are all very down to earth. So hey if you can deal with being treated poorly while paying a lot of money than this is your place BC once your pass the front the rest will be awesome & professional. I just do not tolerate being disrespected and honestly do not want to contribute to their paycheck when the person has zero respect for the clients when she should be thankful to have a job and just try being cordial!?!?!!!! I swear it isnt that hard.

READ ENTIRE THING: I have two different experiences thats why Im giving it two stars instead of one because the first one was actually good. I went to discuss a tattoo I wanted and got talked out of it by a man who acted like my father. I appreciate his opinion and he had a lot of good info on why I shouldnt get it or how I can change it to make it work so that was nice but my second experience was TERRIBLE. Me and my friend went to get a nose piercing a couple months back. I didnt end up going there because they talked me out of getting a ring to start with and I wanted to do it anyway. I had no problem with that. My friend on the other hand went and got a stud put in. They taught her how to clean it but did not talk about how you have to get a shorter pole or whatever after a couple weeks of healing. We went back a couple months later because I wanted to change my nose ring to a different color and she wanted to get a nose ring herself. The man that we had was the rudest individual I have ever met in my life. Me and my friend are very basic looking girls. I only have a couple tattoos that you cannot see with clothes on And she is very conservative and has none at all. It was quite obvious that we got treated differently by this man than the other people waiting for their piercings. I have never judged people who have tattoos or piercings because I have them myself now and are planning on getting a lot more tattoos but they treated us like we wwere different because we werent like them. He acted like we were dumb and talked to us like we were children. He then yelled at me for how I got told how to clean my nose ring at a different place I went to and said that I was the reason that my friend had a lump on her nose, meanwhile my nose ring healed perfectly fine which in case you dont know nose rings have a harder time healing then regular studs so I obviously did something right. He then yelled at my friend for not getting the back of her nose stud changed when no one told her while she was there she had to do that and then blamed her saying that is why she had a bump and he would not touch her nose. The guy was very cocky and rude I will never go back because of this. How he talked to us was not only belittling but very Inappropriate in a workplace.

I only give 3/5 based on my interactions with the receptionist. Kale and Mark are fantastic- they have done all my piercings, I trust them and have always had a great experience. Over the last year, I have gotten my tongue web, forward helix, tragus, and gauged my ears to a 4g at Piercing Emporium. The first time I came in to get my forward helix, I brought a friend with me, who had their tragus done. The third time I came in for a piercing (tongue web) I brought 6 of my friends with me to get their own piercings. I would consider myself to be a loyal client that brings good business. However, it wasnt until this third visit that I learned of a student discount. My friends and I are in grad school, and up to our ears in loans, so we would have appreciated being clued in. Unfortunately, the only reason I learned about it during that visit was due to a girl in front of me who asked for it, which gave me cause to ask about it, myself. I mentioned I had been in a couple times before, and had no knowledge of the discount. The receptionist replied, "If you dont ask for it, you dont get it." This seems very shady to me, considering there is no advertisement about this discount and no other way of knowing it exists. This same receptionist literally closed the door in my face, one night, when I came to get a bar replaced, when it was just about 9 pm (closing). I do understand closing times, I really do, but I also work in a very customer service based workplace. We would never turn away a customer who came at closing, even five minutes later if we were still there, let alone shut the door in their face.
