The assistant manager named Kelly saw me alone in the baby department with a backpack on. She approached me and said "I have to have my bag held up front, or leave the store." I said "why?" She said "policy" I said "I NEED it with me and you can search it if youd like" She said: "I dont want to search it, but you cant shop here with it". I said "Ill leave" (lose business,your choice) I went to find my 2 year old, my friend, and continued shopping until I checked out. (I didnt say Id leave right away! Try getting a 2 year old out of toys when its her nephews birthday in an hour.)... I approached Kelly at end of checking out. She was in the jewelry department up front. I asked her "So Kelly, whats the policy for baby bags? Your store even sells baby bag back packs.? I keep my childs epi pen, diapers, my pain medicine, my kids juice and binki, among other items. (My friend has an colostomy bag backpack for discretion). She didnt know what to say. She started off with "Well, I once had an incident with a back pack." BUT I stopped her and said "so your profiling me?" >>If youre robbed by an Asian, you cant stop all Asians from shopping here. I then repeatedly asked her to show me this policy she claims they hold true... But what are the exceptions? Does a mom really have to go retrieve an epi pen from Service desk because its held in a backpack? Or my 2yr olds juice, or diapers, tissue, my tampons even? YYYAaaaaa leave my unlocked pain meds with a bunch of 16 year old, part time, high turnover, Palmer kamart employees!!;Im sure they wouldnt steal those! But push to shove, the lady never gave me an answer or called the real manager to fill me in on the details or gray areas of this stupid policy.Seriously,,, I Know not to wear a hood in the bank because theres a note on the door before I enter. Regardless, any trouble could come of any bag, baby carrage, purse, gym bag, wallet, coat, etc... why just back packs?and why not baby bag back packs. I use it because its hands free. I have a 2year old about to destroy your toy Dept. You wouldve thought you would like me to have a backpack. Its probably the hardest things to steal with too. How easy is it to open a bag on your back descretely and shove toys in it?!?!! Lol. I think she just thought I was some punk trying to steal. Either way,dont go throwing"its policy or leave", unless you know the policy details.or at least ask your boss. Hey Kelly, you ASSistant manager you,,,. Have a great life working at k-fart. Im sure you get off telling little kids how to do their easy job. Large and in charge.!! Its like the guy with little man syndrome, who drives the big truck (but packs a mini Weiner.) Youre the policy tosser who hasnt read the book...go get your GED.

Ive found the staff to be friendly. The selection is very lacking, especially in the toy dept. and they dont carry the Adam Levine line there. It is an older strip mall with closed storefronts which takes a toll on the entire complex but I will say that once, I ordered something online to be held at the store and the manager drove a great distance to another store in order to fulfill the order. That is good customer service. As in almost all Kmart stores Ive been too, check out lines are slow and the check out process is tedious. They are in serious need of updating their registers to todays technology. I believe that is 3/4 of the reason it is so slow.

Prices are ok but the employees need to lighten up when you see someone strange I my self working at Kmart for many years in the 90s of all the places that I visit or businesses that are have gone in Palmer Kmart is the worst service ever Im not going back into the store

Kmart is Kmart! This location is rundown and many of the employees are not friendly. Many deals can be found, but the product selection is poor; especially the food. Get in, get what you planned, and get out!
