Purchased a used 2009 Mini Cooper S with their standard warranty of 3 months/3000 miles. I traded my BMW 335xi worth much more to them as an even trade because I desperately needed a car with better gas mileage. The only thing my car needed within my knowledge was a headlight bulb which I supplied with the car. They now stated it needed a ballast which I did not know or I would have gotten a ballast as well. Within that period I started hearing a noise which I thought might have been the blower motor. Come to find out there is a known issue with these cars with the timing chain tensioner which causes an oil leak. In addition to that there was an oil leak and the water pump is leaking. I contacted the owner within the warranty period letting them know that I was hearing a sound and that I thought it was the blower motor and was blown off. Now 300 miles over the warranty I am at a mini dealer trying to see what is wrong with my car. They tell me that the timing chain is stretched beyond the acceptable length, the timing chain broke and there are pieces of it in my oil pan, the water pump is leaking and I have an oil leak that needs to be fixed at the tune of $950 down from $2,280 because its a known issue and its beyond their warranty period. I contacted Marquis to explain to them that there was an existing issue that the car was sold with and that because there was an issue that was existing they should honor their warranty. Now, I completely understand the warranty situation and understand that I am beyond that, but I also understand that taking care of a customer that just bought a car and customer relations are more important than money. The person I spoke to on the phone (Louie) tried talking to me as if I was completely ignorant and had no idea what I was talking about. I plan on letting every review site as well as the Better Business Bureau know about my experience as well as any legal action that needs to be taken. Beware of this shop or be sure to do your homework extensively before buying a car. Update: Louie has threatened me to come to tell him to his face that I think he is an ignorant owner after I said it over the phone and has threatened physical harm to me when he said I should go to him to say it. Extremely shady, unprofessional car buying and selling experience and would caution anyone from dealing with them.

Was told to trust the 200 point inspection. It is not worth the paper its written on. Car arrived needing an alignment , new caliper, left front speakers dont work, front axle boots are leaking gear oil, key doesnt open car remotely, came with an uncut second Key I had to take to Home Depot, wipers dont work, trim pieces are falling off in the car. Passenger door doesnt stay open. All these things were marked complete and in working condition on the check list. Now I have had 3 service engine lights on and have only driven the car 40 miles. Engine has burning oil from leaky gasket that I was told was replaced at 60k miles. I confronted them about these issues and they refused to take care of them stating I was being dishonest or the shipping company was to blame. This was after I had an independent party inspect it. They did everything possible not to be helpful. If anyone is going to purchase from them get a third party inspection!! They did everything to dissuade me from getting one and now I know why. These guys are the reason used car salesmen have such a bad reputation. I have contacted the better business bureau and I am filing lawsuit as well! Steer clear!!!!

BUYER BEWARE! I had the very unfortunate experience of buying a Land Rover Discovery from Arthur at Marquis Motor. Within a week of having it two independent mechanics told me the engine needed to be replaced. I took the car back to Arthur and of course he acted like nothing was wrong with it, and told me he could do nothing for me. I came to find out that he gave me a false car fax report and that the car had been in a serious accident. The check engine light came on repeatedly and I made them come and pick up it and when I got the car back they had put 400 miles on it, and instead of fixing it they created further problems on purpose because the warranty was up. Arthur and Luigi are dishonest business men running a road side chop shop, they have no land rover knowledge and literally everything that comes out of their mouth is a lie. I dont want them to be able to do to another person what they did to me.

I had the most amazing experience purchasing a Land Rover LR4 from Marquis Motorcars. I dealt with one of the owners, Arthur and when I say that he couldnt do enough for me, I mean it. His service was unbelievable and like no experience Ive ever had at a dealership. Whatever he said he would do or try to do, he followed through with. He went above and beyond. I had such a good experience here that we will be going back to purchase my husbands car next week. We will never shop anywhere else again. Great service, great price and my dream car, what else can I say?!

Great dealership run very professionally! They carry only nice used cars - not the junkers you see at many low end used car lots. I bought a used car recently from here and the process was simple, quick, and fair. Got a great price and Arthur was great to deal with. Not only was it a good price, they give us a 30 day warranty if anything goes wrong on the car. Not many dealers do that! I even took the vehicle to my mechanic after I bought it just to check it out, and he said it was in perfect condition. Excellent dealership - hope to buy my next car from them!

Terrible dealer. They said the car was clean and in spectacular condition. The car was delivered to my house and smells like an ashtray. Ive had it detailed 3 times and changed all filters and it still stinks like smoke. Also, the A/C doesnt work and requires a very expensive repair unless I cap it and do a half ass repair. Wheel alignment is also off and requires a repair.
