Once again, the bar is lowered - customer service is an antiquated phrase that means nothing today. When you close at 9:00PM, that doesnt mean you start cashing out your registers at 8:30PM - that would mean that you close at 8:30PM and the posted hours should reflect that! After driving 45 minutes to sell my iPhone to this poorly run business, I was told they didnt have time - theyre closing in a half hour and theyve already started cashing out the registers; anyway - "..it takes a half hour to test the phone and we close in a half hour." Now, this all couldve been avoided if they had a proper phone number - not a google voice number where I can leave a message. Its sad that the expectations of our society have become so low that this sort of haphazardly run business i fast becoming the norm. If I ran my business this way I would have no customers within a month and a reputation that would be impossible to rebuild.

CEX consistently sells broken products and lies about covering them with a warranty. I have bought several iPod nanos from this store over the past few years. Every time, the staff tells me there is a one-year warranty. Every time, the ipod breaks within a year and they refuse to fix it. After the latest time, when they sold me an ipod with a defective battery that stopped working within about 2 months, I complained to the store supervisor. He refused to do anything about it, so I asked to speak to his boss. He at first claimed to have no boss. After several rounds of this, he finally told me that he was not the CEO, did have a boss, but that he was not going to give me this persons contact information. Then he threatened to have me arrested just for asking for it instead of buying something.

Friendly and upbeat environment, and the crew knows their stuff, but practice caution when shopping here. I bought a 1TB internal HDD and brought it home, only to find it is 500gb. With a two day return policy, I took it back same day instead of trying to fix it myself. They tested it, reformatted the drive that had a hidden partition, and showed me the fixed space before handing it back to me. I left content although a bit annoyed at the ordeal, but what could I expect from a $35 used hard drive. Overall okay experience, but make sure you have products tested for you before walking out, or the two days will go by fast!

Im giving this store a 4-star because its great if youre looking to sell a used electronic item and get cash. The process takes a while. Be patient! If youre selling a phone or computer be sure to bring the charger and/or cables and a picture ID. During peak hours the line is long. Youll have to leave your item for 25 minutes of testing. If it passes, theyre required to take a picture of you, license and your item. After that youll receive cash. If you decide to take a store credit, the amount will be higher.

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! bought an used iPhone 5, with the promise that the insurance would cover any problems besides screen cracking and water damage... a couple of months later, 2 buttons stop working and when I take it to the store, they say that the warranty doesnt cover it. If that wasnt enough, I found out later that the same phone I paid $200 for (used) was being sold NEW at at&t for $170. wouldt recommend it to anyone.

This crappy store sells overpriced useless stuff. For example I was looking at a Nokia Lumia 521 (windows phone) and they are selling for $145, of course its used. Later I found out the same phone its been sold brand new for $120. Ive told them, but they didnt change the price. Their used items cost more than retail price.

Old video game heaven. Used games from PS2 and XBOX to yesterdays releases. Tons of used DVDs and BluRays as well. Camera equipment, monitors, phones, tablets, you name it they buy and sell it. They give a fair price for basically anything electronic, and more than a fair price if you trade it for store credit.

Pick up your phone first of all. Ive been calling for 2 days. And when I finally decided to go in they take 45 minutes for just 4 customers. A 45 minute wait? When I got to the counter the employee that "helped" me, showed little interest and seem to be trying to get me out in a hurry. Wont see me back here.

Went there nice, spent almost $200 in this place on my card. On June 1st, 2017, the guy that I saw on the Red Line that is bound for Ashmont, he took me to this place, and waste up all of my time when Id supposed to be home before 3:00 PM, and took too much of his time looking for video games.

Everybody should try the voucher technique, if you go on the website it says we buy for voucher (whatever price) and vouch for the price they state. Normally they give you the money you ask for. They hate it when people use this because its a legal barter in their system.

Great prices on used games, be careful with used electronic... yet sometimes if you know the product well you can get a decent deal... Place is sometimes over crouded yet the staff does try to keep lines flowing and the staff is polite and fairly knowalagble...

Cex sell quality products and if u buy something that does not work for example a cd and it does not work the will try to fix it. Other people have had bad experiences with cex put i have had good experiences they buy and sell used item as a way to recycle

Customer Service is professional and friendly. The time waiting in line is the only negative. Most of the store reps deal with people are selling and usually only one rep waits on customers who want to purchase. Otherwise, a decent establishment.
