Absolutely unorganized management. I applied to work here and got hired. Naturally, I was excited to start my new job on top of college. I wasted $8.25 traveling all over the Greater Boston Area for my training that was supposed to be today, 8/29, from 12-4. My main location would have been the Allston Bfresh to work at and I was not told that I would be working/training at any other location. I arrive to Allston on time today for my training and am told by my manager that I needed to be at the Davis Square Somerville Bfresh (which is a 30-45 minute bus-and-train ride from where I currently was). He didnt actually know if I had to be in Allston or Somerville that day and had to double check, which I thought was odd. I also had to ask the name of the manager at the Bfresh in Somerville because he didnt even tell me, which is also odd. Going up to a future manager and saying "hi manager!!" is pretty unprofessional, Id like to at least know their name!! I was baffled because I was never told to go to the Somerville Bfresh for training. As soon as I am almost there and I am on the Red Line towards Davis Square, I get a call from that same manager in Allston that I cant actually do my training in Somerville today because I did not do enough paperwork. (Again, I was never told that I didnt do enough paperwork beforehand. I was given the green light last week to start my training. The Allston Bfresh Manager told me as soon as I got off at Davis Square that I needed to go back to Allston.) At this point I had wasted $6.00 on transit, which may not sound like a lot, but when youre twenty years old and desperately need to make rent and you spread yourself thin day-to-day as a college student, it is a lot for me. I was livid. As soon as I arrived at Davis Square for my training, I pretty much find out that I cannot be there for training today so I take the trek back to my home in Brighton. This "adventure" today took about three hours. P.S. I rated this Allston Bfresh 2 stars because although the management is extremely disorganized and inefficient, the bulk section is great. Theres a lot of options. I wont be shopping at this Allston Bfresh anymore or step foot in here ever again. Although I might give the Brighton one a chance.

Bfresh is an awful company to shop for & work for. I recently got hired to work for the new location in brighton MA, got into a near fatal car accident driving home after work. I have been in the hospital for nearly a week w/a severe injury to my chest & back. Today i was asked to come to the store to "talk" about coming back to work & to figure out my schedule for this upcoming week just to find out that i was being fired. I asked why i was being fired & the response i got was "because ive been out of work more than ive been in work" Tell me, how is someone supposed to avoid a situation like that? Car accidents happen all the time for no reason, thats why it is called an "Accident" now i am living in a rental car because i am homeless due to this company firing me over something i had absolutely NO control over. Please, if u have to go grocery shopping, spend your money ANYWHERE but bfresh. They are horrible to the community as well, i heard an employee talking about hiding the trash that was over flowing from the dumpster just before getting fired today. He was telling my once-manager that they should hide all the hazardous materials they were throwing out just to (word for word) "look like we care about the community" haha how terrible is that? Also, if u do plan on shopping @bfresh with your children make sure they wear earplugs into the store so they arent subject to hearing the disgusting, explicit non-cencorsed rap/r&b music they play inside the store! this company is by far the worst company i have ever worked for in all my life. Spend your money ANYWHERE but bfresh.

Im pretty thankful to have a supermarket closer to me! I much prefer Bfresh to Star Market. I havent had any complaints thus far and am pretty impressed with the produce and bulk food (!) selection. Im appreciative of the subtle emphasis on limiting unnecessary waste (digital price tags) and Im curious to see if more encouragement will come from there (like incentives for not using plastic bags for your produce?! a girl can dream). ALL of the staff is wonderfully friendly, holy cow, but super shoutout to Francibel (I think? Digital name tags are hard to read when youre trying to be sneaky) for being so welcoming and showing me some tricks at the self-checkout lane. Keep it up!

The quality of this place deteriorate significantly these days. Many things are close to expiration date, and many soft fruit varieties are moving so slow that they are seldom fresh (apparently they always get soft fruit in batches larger than they can sell). Also they could miss out essential stuff, like milk and chicken, several times. A week ago their milk is out and today nothing new comes in. All these problems make it very exhausting to fill my shopping list with acceptable groceries. Whoever managing inventory should be fired.

Surprise! Bfresh is just Stop & Shop marketed to millennials. No, seriously, all of their products are Stop & Shop brand. More expensive than Whole Foods for lower quality goods. Staff is sleepy and slow. It felt like it was everyones first day. The gentleman who bagged my grocies didnt ask if I wanted paper, and packed my small order in 5 bags. Dude, this is Boston. Ive got to schlep this stuff home. Help me out! Ill go literally anywhere else for higher quality food and reasonable prices. Bummer.

Love this place since they first opened in Allston. I mainly go there for veggies and fruit shopping that I adore and in the meanwhile I also check fish and some other products like milk and eggs that are cheaper than in other markets in the area. I strongly recommend to download their app as they sometime offer good promos with their weekly add (like 10$ off out of 20$!!)

My favorite grocery store in Allston. Great selection of fresh and frozen foods. The soups are made from scratch daily, along with themed meals like Mexican, Indian, Italian. They also have a wide variety of organic fruits and veggies, as well as baked goods. Lastly, the staff members are all very friendly and helpful. You cant go wrong!

A supermarket designed for a generation of people who do not waste time buying things. It is a bit small but perfect find what you want and offer many quite fresh, quality organic products. Attractions Bfresh has sufficiently good coupons discounts which can save a lot of money. One of my favorites in Boston!

Great selection. Good deals if you sign up for the app. People that work there are very friendly. Big parking lot in back + a bus stop and T stop within a block. Checkout can be pretty slow.

hybrid between pretentious whole foods vibe and friendly local market. great selection for the small space, but they often are poorly stocked. definitely a great place for the coupon hoarder

Pros: friendly staff, good selection of items, relatively good prices Cons: some items are ridiculously over priced. One might think this is the way they are trying to raise their profit.
