I WOULD NOT BUY MEAT HERE--- but if you are looking for international spices and ingredients that other countries use in their foods--this place is LIT!!! I found all kinds of stuff that I cant find in other stores. I dont think the meat is steroid/gmo free. Im 100% sure the chicken and beef is not grass fed. As for the seafood, if you need it in bulk for an event, this place isnt so bad. I dont think health is the first concern at the seafood area. A lot of it is "help yourself" and that is never good for germs. The veggies and fruit are about 30-40% spoiled depending on the day. I would say that is on par/normal for most of the grocery stores in this immediate area. Until we get a Trader Joes in PG county, I will have to rely on Wegmans, Costco and local farms to get the healthiest produce. Another great thing this market has is COOKWARE!!! Lots of commercial and domestic cookware that you cant find for that price anywhere else.

I found out about Jumbo Food this past summer and have been a customer ever since. I am a pesketarian (a person who cocsumes no meat only seafood) and it is quite expensive. Now that i have discovered Jumbo I live in their seafood department. Everything is extremely fresh... and i do mean fresh. I t caught me off guard for a minute when i saw live crabs crawling around the metal bin but at $2.00 a lb how could i pass it up? I go to Jumbo about once a month to stock up on vegetables, lobster, shrimp, and just about any fish youcan imagine... Jumbo foods gets two thumbs up from me!!!

Use to shop here all the time I moved away from the area.drove from Laurel to purchase some crabs.... normally they would charge $5.00 to cook them, but now they charge according to the how much you spend I purchased 13pds which came to $91.00 I told the mgr that I only had room for the crab amount and the five dollars fee...not prepared to pay$9.00....just to cook them he told me no you have to pay...he let $91.00 walk out the door over $4.00.....wow they just lost a loyal customer.......

I Just moved to Maryland and jumbo is the closest grocery store close to me,so Ive went there a couple times and the smell is so unpleasant,also every time i have to see something thats past the sell by date (So may sure to check before you buy anything).I told the employees this last time i went and they told their boss and the owners seem not to care about it and showed no concern what so ever.So no not shopping there again!

The store smells horrible, the moment you walk in you will be repulsed. The chicken has an awful rancid odor. Produce is often rotten. Health inspectors need to visit this place. I cant understand anyone would continue shopping at this store other than convenience to the local residents in the area. I only go now for the live crabs that are pretty good.

The store manager was rude to a costumer who did not able to read the serial number of an item on sale. He insulted the costumer and put down the sign. Obviously, the store manager erroneously put up the item on sale but too proud to admit it then put the blame on the costumer. Instead of apologizing to the costumer.

It has all the international foods I like and American foods too.Even if they dont have what you want you can just go to their website and request some specific food and then later come pick it up in store .The only thing I dont like is the strong fish smell in parts of the store but overall its great .

It could be better for the price and quality of the food. The love that they have Crabs. The taste of the meat was strange need to fix that. The store had a terrible smell complete turn off when buying food just move to this area and meed a grocery store please fix issues

I went to Jumbo Food International on Sunday on the recommendation of a family member and I was very impressed with the meat prices. I was very satisfied with the amount of meat I purchased for $52.00. I will be returning to Jumbo very soon.

Jumbo is great they always have a variety of different food from different places! The only thing I would work on is the smell that hits you coming in the door! Customer service is good.

Solid international food selection which skews towards Asian, Caribbean, and Latino. The meat, fish, and produce are always fresh due to high turnover. Prices are very reasonable.
