I have been shopping at Upscale Resale since it was in Merriville. Now that I am attending Montgomery College in Rockville, it is in walking distance of the college. I have been going there every Monday since they stalk up over the weekend. I have found some amazing dishware, antiques, books, knick knacks, childhood toys, office supplies,for some great deals. What is even better is that they have a buy one get one 50% off. If you attend Montgomery College, you get a 25% off discount on your total purchase. How great is that?? I like that it is a somewhat Junky store because that is what makes the treasure hunt so much fun. I work at the HomeGoods in G-burg and tell people all the time that if they cannot find what they are looking for there to frequent thrift stores in the area. Upscale and Life4Animals Thrift are always my first choice when recommending thrift shops in the area. Prices are great and people really can save some big bucks shopping there.

I was moving from my small apartment into a 4 bedroom house and I needed furniture on a budget fast. I didnt want cheap looking furniture and I had seen the quality furniture at Upscale Resale Thrift Shop so I went there. I was with my assistant because I am disabled. We had limited time and money and it just so happened that they were having one of their buy one and get the second at half price. We went through the store and in an hour we had furnished the entire house for $2000. People love my furniture and the money goes to help the mentally challenged. Brian, the manager is a jewel. They delivered the furniture for $50!

I have found exceptional pieces at great prices! If you are looking to pick, this is a must. If you are "shopping" and need rows of organized items, matched in size, shape and style.... youre writing a one star review. Dont believe them. If you make this a stop on your thrifting/picking map you will not ve disappointed. Great Staff. Great Service. Great community outreach working with the disabled.

Great thrift store! I usually come looking for books and I have always been able to find a few that capture my interest. Overall pretty well organized however the clothing section leaves much to be desired. I have found awesome frames and mirrors. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. I dont know if they do it every day but whenever I have been there it has been buy one get one half off.

What a wonderful store and an extremely worthy cause.Its well worth the visit.I have found many charming items there from clothing to furnishings The sales staff are friendly and helpful The manager Brian is very kind and takes the time to get to know his customers.
