The store is very organized and items are easy to find. But I think the items are way overpriced compared to their target audience. And when the original price tag is still on the item and youre charging double u may want to lower your prices or at least take the original tag off. They have some very lovely antiques and collectibles but they dont belong in this store. It just makes the shopper very uncomfortable and feel like your situation is so much worse than it really is. Because if u cant even afford to shop in a thrift store where can u shop? People going through hardships need encouragement and need to feel like they are able to provide for their family. They wont get it here. I dont. The only reason I visit this store is because they have one section where all of the items are free. But dont expect anyone to help you load them into your vehicle. Im disabled and although I backed my truck up to the loading dock and told someone i was outside, nobody came to help. So, I did it myself and cried the entire time. But if you need something and you dont have a dollar to your name youd be surprised at what u will do. And I already suffer from chronic pain so does it really matter? Ill just suffer a little more. But if you have a lot of time to spend you may find a great deal. Its a place at least worth checking out.

This place used to be AWESOME! I furnished my entire house in 2007 for very reasonable prices. At some point the management changed and the prices SKYROCKETED! I still visit occasionally just to buy small stuff, but its not at all uncommon to find old broken items with prices higher than brand new at home depot. I have seen old worn broken furniture (non-antique) listed for $400. That would have been $50 at the "old" restore. Im guessing some stuff sells or else they would have dropped the prices already, but it really bothers me that they get everything for free and somehow think its ok to sell it for top dollar. If you read this, Gaithersburg Restore, think about this: Lower prices means things sell faster, means inventory changes over more often, meaning more people come more often to see what is new and they buy more because the prices are low. High prices means you make more when you sell things, but that happens less frequently and so the inventory sits longer and people are less likely to come often because it will look the same from one week to the next. My advice is to go back to thrift-store pricing, not boutique pricing. I have spoken to many people who talk about Restore as a "place that used to be awesome". Just my two cents.

I love the idea of reusing materials, its greener alternative to landfill... But this store is way overpriced! They had a simple blush nickel faucet for sale for $60 without all the installation attachments. When I asked for a discount, I got a dirty look and a lecture how they can not discount items. The sales person looked burden that she had give me this explanation. I went down to the Home Depot around the corner and found something similar yet new for a under $50 -in box, with instructions and all screws. They had a small vanity cabin that the veneer was peeling off it - it was also $50, should have been no more the $20. If they receive these ideas for free as donation why such a high charge? BTW - I was there to help someone who is in need and on lower socio-economic spectrum and the whole experience was disgusting. This Habitat for Humanity needs to read their mission statment and price their items way lower.

I love the Re-store and love buying there to support the cause -BUT this one is WAYYYY overpriced - and you can tell by the fact that the dressers and credenzas are stacked on top of each other. This store is mismanaged severely. The goal is to sell stuff at fair prices and generate money for Habitat for Humanity - instead this particular store elects to operate as if they are a high end antique store. If they had a better understanding of how to price used items - they would sell more and not have the tremendous inventory that sits and stacks up for month after month ! Not only with the vintage stuff - but also with newer stuff - I tried to buy a pair of faucet hoses there recently and they priced them above what they sell for new at Lowes !!!! PLEASE - get real and sell some stock so that customers can actually browse your merchandise without being in danger of getting trapped under a stack of dressers !

The prices of this thrift store are way too high. Its a second hand store and they price items like they are new. Most of the furniture is pretty beat up which isnt there fault but price it accordingly! The building supplies and appliances are too high. I looked at the prices for tile. It was cheaper for a new box at Home Depot. And you can go to Lowes and get one of their scratch and dent model for cheaper than here. The rule is if you go there, verify prices on the internet. It feels like this place is trying to gauge you. So beware!

This location is wonderful, with a decent in and out off of Gude Dr. Plenty of selection with things constantly coming in and of course right back out the door! The staff is friendly and helpful enough, but dont be surprised if they arent the ones to offer help moving things around. The biggest thing that is a problem with this location is the loading area is EXTREMELY tight! Dont try and park in the loading area if you are worried about damaging your vehicle on bollards or concrete barricades. Ill be returning and would recommend to anyone!

I have been here a couple times (they recently moved To Rockville this March 2016) and the store was clean, the prices seemed comparable to other thrift stores in the area (I only checked the furniture in the back), very organized, nice people helping. I like they have furnishings, but also reclaimed wood, doors, windows, tools and appliances :) As for the people helping out, well they are volunteers and not many of them, so bear that in mind. I did not see anything stacked improperly and their E Gude Dr location is sizable.

Whoever is pricing appliances and building materials is way out of line especially on the high end appliances, you can not negotiate the price. You would think they would want to move their inventory quicker high end or low end after all it is all donated and it is positive cash flow with exception of their labor and overhead. You can find more reasonable prices at Goodwill or Salvation Army, but on the upside the staff is pleasant and the new place is very organized.

Fairly large ReStore with lots of furniture. Surprisingly expensive, though, compared to other ReStores including the Silver Spring one. I noticed some Ikea Tobias chairs for $90 each (they sell new from Ikea for $79 and can regularly be found on Craigs list for $40 - $50). Other items were 2x or 3x what I would expect normally from ReStore. If youre looking for high end vintage pieces and not looking for incredible deals, this one may be more for you.
