This is my favorite Wegmans thus far (Ive been to this one, Germantown, Columbia, Hunt Valley, and Fairfax), which is great because its also the closest to my house. As another reviewer mentioned, its not really in Lanham (Id call it Landover but I suppose its actually Glenarden). Its so well organized, the staff are very friendly, the food is high quality and very well priced...all of which make it a typical Wegmans. What makes it even better is its doesnt feel as crowded as most Wegmans, even when filled with people. I dont know if they made the aisles a bit wider or the store layout is simply better, but I dont feel like a salmon swimming upstream when shopping at this store. A few big pluses, for me: (1) The vast variety of food in the marketplace cafe (the buffets are amazing, and they have dim sum on the weekends), (2) the cashiers actually bag food properly; (3) the excellent quality of the organic meats and cheeses (including deli meat), (4) the Wegmans Just Picked frozen fruit - perfect for pies and smoothies, and (5) the gigantic bakery area. We usually buy a few baguettes and ciabata loafs, cut them in half, and freeze them. 10 minutes in the oven and we can enjoy fresh-tasting bread any day of the week, without having to make a trip to the store.

DO NOT EAT AT THE FOOD BAR RESTAURANT! The shopping experience is great at this store. However, beware of The Food Bar restaurant. The service was horrible. There was a true lack of customer service with the manager as well. The server was extremely slow and unobservant. With only a few other customers dining in there, it took an hour and a half to get our food (it was just my husband and me). Then , the server charged the wrong bill on our credit card which took another 15 minutes. We thought the problem was resolved but it in fact wasnt because the wrong charge was still on the credit card 3 days later. We returned to speak to the manager on the issue and immediately he became very defenseful and was speaking to us as if things were our fault. Key rule in good customer service is you never try to put the blame on the customer. We then had to wait another 40 minutes for them to go into the system and find the flaw. Not once did the manager ask if we wanted to sit down or ask if we wanted a drink, etc. At the end of the whole fiasco, we did express our opinion on how we thought they handled the situation poorly and the manager became defenseful once again. Wegmans should just stick to being a grocery store.

Outstanding!! I love this grocery store. Since it came to my neighborhood I rarely shop at any of the other local stores. The prices are great. The seafood is very fresh. The store has a wonderful atmosphere. The fresh bread and deli meats are scrumptious and fresh. They have clear coupon policies. They are well stocked and very responsive if you have a customer service issue. Prices are clearly labeled. A huge selection. The staff seems to enjoy working there and they tend to be pleasant. When I child was an infant, I called because my brand of formula had been out for a few weeks. When I went back to the store they had set up a display with that particular formula. They have been as responsive on other minor issues. Its also one of the few stores in my neighborhood with no self checkout, which I cannot stand. All lines have cashiers and they have plenty of them. Even during the holiday rush I did not encounter long lines. The cashiers come to the end of the line to let you know their line is open.

Ok, so I placed an order with this wegmans on 2/1/17 and I was told that it would be ready for pickup by 8:30am on 2/5/17. The cake that I ordered, I wanted a particular image, so I was told to email the picture (whatever it was) and it will be ready still by 2/5. So on 2/3 I called to see if they had received the image and the young lady Kayla said yes I said ok will it be ready by 2/5 she said yes. Ok, so here we are on 2/5 at 12n (I gave them time) I am at the bakery to pick up my cake. So, Kayla said I called you this morning to tell you that the image you sent was not a licensed image and we could not put it on the cake. It was a picture of Naruto. So Im really annoyed, why couldnt you tell me this on Friday when I talked to you and why wait until the same day to call me . It was just really weird. Then when I asked why am I being notified same day she said because they make the cakes same day

The is the best grocery store in the D.C. Metro!!! The selection is amazing and the quality of the food is second to none. They have the largest selection of gluten free and organic products Ive ever seen. The freshness of the meat and seafood is outstanding. Wegmans prices are a little on the high side as compared to some of the other grocery stores in the area, but you are definitely getting what you pay for. Get a Wegmans purchase discount card to save money. Unlike Wal-Mart, Wegmans keeps plenty of check out lanes open to handle large crowds quickly. The store also contains a sushi bar, coffee shop and burger joint. Its also one block from Costco in case you dont feel like giving up a great parking spot. Sorry for the long post.

Huge fan of Wegmans! Couldnt pick a better store to have in my community. Huge selection of premium and organic products as well as all of your essential products at reasonable prices. Youve got a Wholefoods and a Giant in one! Amazing Store! I shop there almost everyday and sometimes go their just to relax in their cozy eating space. At times the restaurant will have live music which adds even more to your overall experience. Wegmans really does feel like a part of the community. Ive watched guys congregate to play chess, Ive attended a bible study in their meeting space and have used their seating area as my own personal home office! Wish I could give this place 10 Stars.

This place is AMAZING! It puts other local grocery stores to shame (Safeway, Giant, Food Lion, etc.). The prices are fantastic, especially if you get their club card (which is free) and buy the Wegman's brand (which is VERY high quality!). The selection of items is incredible, and I can always find exactly what I'm looking for. The fresh market area is really neat, with many different varieties of food (I feel like a kid in an amusement park). The staff is always very friendly and helpful, which is not something that you find a lot in this area. I really enjoy shopping at this store and will not go anywhere else. I'm a Wegman's customer for life!

Super good selection of products to purchase and the hot food area is great. They make a really good sandwich as well. The store does have wifi which is a plus. They also do themed nights sometimes and play movies. Theres also a Redbox and Coinstar inside as well. The coupons are great too. You can always get them at the customer service area in case you forgot yours at home. Sometimes the coupons will work even if the item on the coupon wasnt one that was actually scanned. Great service overall.
