Most everytime Im there the lines are exceptionally long; at least to the shopping lane. Sometimes you run into a cashier you KNOW is very unhappy. I feel obligated for saying: THANK YOU for allowing me to shop at your store! Sometimes the store smells (STINKS) like something rottening. as soon as you enter the door (is it meat or produce?) The vegetable section is NOT lively at all (even though vegs and fruits should be vibrant themselves. WATCH the dates on items. Within the last month (and Ive been there maybe 4-5 times) , i shopped for honey buns (not little Debbies) and it had expired about a week before! The cashier says that these are stocked by the individual company. WHO MONITORS THIS!! A friend bought me cottage cheese and it was to expire in two days. I tasted it and it was sour! I threw it out! A none brand of pot pies are not offered anymore. I was concerned because the sides of the boxes would frequently open where you could see the pie inside. They no longer carry this popular brand! Ive heard other ghastly stories about this store == about a history of mice, etc. (althoiugh that matter may be resolved) and AVOID shopping HERE UNLESS ITS CRITICAL. Whats discouraging is that this community NEEDS a place to shop FOR GOOD GROCERIES within walking distance. It is near a senior citizen community and integrated within a neighborhood that is concentrated with diverse ethnic groups. REPEAT!! BE READY FOR A LONG. LONG CHECKOUT; A SINGLE CHECK-OUT LINE (while other employees are elsewherre in the store); WATCH FOR EXPIRED DATES AND FRESHNESS OF FOOD!

neat place I worked there 1963 to 1966 it was an a&p Grocery store great place to work, the cvs was a peoples drug store great place to hang out when you were a teenager. Was in the first class to go through St. Johns from grade 1 to 8. Kids today will never have the greatest time in their life like we did back then, you could leave the house at 7 in the morning and not come home until diner day after day and have fun all day long.

Produce is nice but the meat department is even better. The two butchers have been there a good while and are very helpful. If they dont have they can tell you when to come back and its there. Thanks meat department.

Sad place to shop sometimes the meat is out dated and its never really stocked and the lines be down the ally and its so many people working and no one not even managers help that store need help bad
