Each time I have made a trip to Sally Beauty in Gaithersburg, MD, it has always been a dreadful experience. There is not one time I have visited that branch over the past several years and haven’t received scowls from employees on duty. During my last recent trip to that branch I was ridiculed by a woman working behind the register who felt that it was her duty to comment on what she thinks I should and should not be wearing. I believe the incident happened on the 4th of July. I walked into the store to buy a few products, and by the time I reached the register the woman felt the need to rudely comment on my shorts. She brazenly declared, in front of what must have been ten other customers, that my shorts were “too short” and that everything was “hanging out for everyone to see,” and continued on to mumble several other offensive comments under her breath… loud enough for everyone to hear. Not that I should even need to defend myself, but I was wearing spandex shorts on my way from an exercise class. Needless to say, this Sally Beauty Supply branch has single-handedly provided me with the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

The customer service at this location is inexcusably horrible. I have never seen customers, including myself, treated so badly. Today, my daughter and I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes waiting for someone to come to the register so we could pay for our products. An employee saw us standing there and instead of helping us walked to the back of the store and went into a back room. There wasnt another customer in the store that she could have been helping. Finally, another employee came into the stores front door and yelled to the back that there was a customer waiting. The lady in the back yelled that she knew we were there. No apology for making us wait. This is not my first bad experience with this location. Several of the employees have "attitudes" with the customers. They treat them like they are stupid or an inconvenience. They are rude to their children and will ask questions like "can you speak English?" when the children dont answer their insipid questions. Maybe this is the only type of employee you can get to work at this location, but I will be looking elsewhere for my beauty supplies.

Today, not a holiday, they closed a full hour early. They are supposed to close at 6 on sundays, and today they closed at 5. They lost about 6+ costumers other than myself within the 10 minutes I was waiting there for any workers to see that they had locked the door, but it was no mistake, they decided to close up early just because. Not only that, but all of the workers dont know about any products within the store or what they carry (i.e: names, advice, colors, locations of where theyre placed, what theyre supposed to do) so theyre just not helpful at all. Also, theyre so rude to their customers! And if youre working in costumer service no matter how rude or annoying a customer is, youre supposed to just do your job and at least just put a fake smile on, or else no one will want to partake in any sort of buisness with you or your store. In conclusion, this is possibly the worst sallys store Ive ever been to in my whole entire life.

Very rude employees. All of them act as if they dont want to be there and they take their anger out on the customers. Ive been yelled at and accused of stealing by a woman who works there named Pam. Shes accused some of my coworkers, family and friends as well. I went to the beauty store thats in the mall and had a great conversation about it with another customer who had a similar situation as mine. Apparently Pam treats everyone badly. Just because Pam probably steals doesnt mean she needs to accuse others. She also has an issue with gossiping on the sales floor in front of customers. She spoke very poorly of the manager, Rosalind. Saying some pretty disgusting things. As a retail manager this store makes me sick

This location forget about employes but customer are rude to.. Just today I was in line for good 5 min .. And this lady cut in line.. And said I was in line but I left.. Coming back after 5 min or more Minute.. While other customer is trying to move forward.. ( if she was in line n I had physically since her I would have let go off this ) but she was not in line) while this other lady had come to counter paid for it and I was behind her .. Thats when this lady try to cut in front of me.. I m sure even employers didnt no what to say.. They actually smile at me .. Very rude behavior from customer and employer.. So glad I just left n didnt give money to this type of store..

I am not sure about why everyone else had a bad experience but Customer service was great! A lovely lady helped me find the right dye for my hair because my first attempted failed. She went step by step and repeated her self with me..she was patient with me and told me to come back for the results. I am not sure if the other ladies talked to other employees but this one was awesome! I cant wait to show her my results. I know her name began with a "D" and she had short hair..she was working today about 1-3pm

One of the ladies there was very nice but the other lady was extremely rude. There was a spill on the ground and she rudely said " did you guys do this" and we did not. After we walked away another lady asked her what happen as she was wiping up the spill and she said " the two young girls did it, and didnt even tell me" blaming us for what we didnt do. Treating paying customers like that is completely unacceptable and we will never be going back to this Sallys ever again. Contacting manager

The employees here are so ridiculously rude. Not one of them didnt have a MAJOR attitude problem.. It made me sick to hand my money over to such nasty people. Went to do this rating and saw Im apparently not alone (and saw the owner apparently doesnt care because its been a problem for years). Ill never give this trashy place another penny.

I almost didnt go to this Sallys because of the bad reviews. I was there yesterday and everyone was friendly. I was carrying some thing I was gonna buy and I was offered a cart. When I got to the cashier she was really friendly and helpful. I have no complaints on this store.

Employees at this location are just as RUDE as a person can get! they dont acknowledge you when you walk in. They dont say hello even as theyre checking you out at the register. A monkey could do a better job and be more courteous!!!

Horrible customer service at this location. The employees at this location are extremely rude and unfriendly. They will ring up your items without saying a word to you and they are not helpful when looking for a product.

The employees are very rude. I wonder whether the owner/ or managers read these comments to correct this situation in this store. They have always been like that and no one is correcting the mistake. It’s a shame !
