Have you met Kevin? No? You really need to fix that. With the strength of ten men and the patience of a Buddhist monk, Kevin undertook to help me cut every single piece of lumber I needed to create a mudroom bench and associated shelving. In the short (considering the task) time it took him to cut all 30 pieces of lumber down to size for me, he demonstrated a remarkable amount of patience with a mustachioed coworker (as well as myself), cut each intricately-cut piece perfectly, provided tips to help me get the most for my buck and to build the best project possible. Kevin for President in 2020. He sounds like Denzel Washington, his precision woodworking would make a Kwakiutl totem pole carver jealous, and some say that hes so wise that his coworkers start all of their particularly insightful comments with the phrase "Kevin say...". I highly recommend that you visit The Home Depot on Urbana Pike simply to get a peek at the man, the myth, the legend: the Kevin.

As with any major store, it is hard to judge the overall quality of the store based on one positive or negative experience, but I will add my 2 cents. I am not a corporate schill, or someone that goes out of my way to praise people, or complain. That being said, this place hooked me up, without any fuss or bullshit. I returned some stuff, no issues. I then had something price matched, and they BEAT the competitors price by a bunch, and they were friendly. None of that going against policy and being dicks that seems so prevalent these days. And they werent overly friendly either, they acted like human beings. Someone on hiring staff there has their head on straight. They were great. I will be going back. The store is also VERY clean and organized as well. Nothing bad to say about them.

On 7/31/15 I put a deposit down for some window blinds. On August 14th I was told it will be 3 to 4 more weeks till they put our blinds up. At the time of purchase we were told it takes about 3 weeks for everything since they were not special order blinds, but in stock. Saturday, August 15th I received 3 phone calls while I was at my sons wedding. While trying to call back, the numbers they gave took me to the main store automated service. I just found out that my neighbor had her blinds put in by "Next Day Blinds". They had the blinds measured and installed in 5 days, and thats only because she was out of town. I want my $50 deposit back from Home Depot, I am very unhappy with their schduling the phone service.

Love this place! Excellent service, good prices, and great selection. Only thing holding this place from 5 stars is the lack of a tool rental place- you have to go to Patrick st for renting tools. The level of customer service is just fantastic- there are always employees ready to help, they are knowledgeable, or point you to the expert in no time. Also, there selection of plants/mulch/etc. is wonderful.

Friendly staff. Even with the amount of questions that they receive daily, they answer with a smile. As far as inventory, all Home Depots are pretty much the same. The difference lies in your customer service experience.
