I brought earrings at this location however days later I needed to return them before the thirty day mark..... I stopped by while in town and on my day off from my travels... Before I stopped by I called to make sure that it wasnt too late to return my item the young man (supervisor) mentioned that as long as I had all of my supporting documents of my purchase however when I arrived I notice that the young lady at the customer service desk was rude as always but some how she is still employed with Walmart??? I discussed my return with her and then she went to look for a opinion from a female supervisor who styled her hair in two braids who also was no taller than five feet, light African American I suppose, she spoke with a soft voice kind of pretending like she was going to be supportive but I can tell the difference from genuine support and Im just here for the check personality... Well anyway she returned to me and said that the supervisor cant help me and to get help from the supervisor who said that I could return the item... I told the young lady that I would wait for the supervisor.... The young lady then started to help others and said that there isnt anyone else who could help me and I said to her that I use to work for Walmart and I have never heard of this happening before she said well things have changed since then.... Wow!! The supervisor came over and act as if she would help to later walk me back to jewelry after have found my receipt in Walmarts system... She called the store assistant and quietly whisper while I waited and then what do you know!!!! the store assistant explained to me that they cannot verify that my return was brought in the actual Store.... But that I could return tomorrow when someone from the jewelry department can verify that the jewelry came from Walmart..... Iam so very dissapointed by this time.... Ive dealt with the poorest customer service mindsets ever at this location.... I will not buy another item here I will travel to the next location or my home town location in laplata MD for great service... Which is more than a hour away... Not to mention the item that I brought was over a hundred dollars plus the purchase of insurance... Wow!!! So very disappointing...and the fact that they had all my supporting documents & a receipt form their system wasnt enough.... I will take this higher up because this should have never happened... I actually visited this location about twice to check to see if the earrings were on sale before I brought them I even returned about 5:57am before work in St Marys county to buy them... And look at what has happened....

I tend to try and avoid this store because of all the negative reviews, but I took a trip with my littles to make a quick purchase for a baby shower. Prior to shopping, I took my two children to use the restroom. This place was disgusting. This was in the middle of the day, a little after 1, so there should have been someone on shift to clean. One stall had wads and strings of toilet paper on the floor and OVERFLOWING from the toilet and had a strong odor. The second available stall had fecal matter smeared on the bowl and inside the bowl. The other stalls were full, but I didnt want to see what they were like, so I left out. I told my kids we would hurry to get what we needed and leave so that they could use a clean bathroom somewhere else. Finding what I needed was easy because I knew what to look for and where to find it One associate was kind enough to bring me an empty cart she wasnt using as mine was having an issue with the wheel, so that was nice. The express line was pretty empty with only one customer ahead of me, while the other lines seemed long. The cashier, named Nada, seemed to be having a bad day. I smiled and greeted her as she began to scan my items, she may have grumbled something, Im not sure. I went to pay for my items and asked for a gift receipt. Apparently this was her breaking point because she gave me a nasty look and said she would have to void out everything and start over. I responded with Ok, do what you need to do. I apologized for the inconvenience, but tried to explain that I had never had an issue of it being printed out at the end during previous gift purchases from Wal Mart. She didnt care. She rolled her eyes, huffed, and called abruptly for the manager. It took a few seconds, I got my gift receipts and items, told Nada to enjoy her day, and got out of there. Maybe the load is too much on them because they are understaffed and constantly hiring, but I have never had this issue with any other Wal Marts and it is sad that this one represents the Columbia area. I will happily drive across 175 next time and go to the Target across the street.

While trying to return a product we purchased the day before, we were upset to learn that store policy states that opened inflatable beds cannot be returned. Even though the bed was never used because it was far bigger than the box stated and the Point of Sale does not have the policy posted. We tried to let the customer service manager know that the product was not suitable to our needs, and that we would be amenable to trading it for a smaller version. Unfortunately the smaller version was half price and she was unwilling to do anything but trade it for the same model, which didnt fit. After the customer service got snippy with my wife, she just ignored us. and refused to help us any further; kind of made us feel like common criminals trying to pull a fast one. For the record, I have a high six figure income, my home is paid for and I have no bills. We shop at walmart because the service is usually very good, but because of this incident and the way your staff/management made us feel, we will be taking our business elsewhere. We had heard bad things about the Columbia/Dorsey rd. store through friends and colleagues and via google review; this just verifies what everyone is talking about. We will be letting our friend and colleagues know how badly this store treats its customers. and to your customer service manager Betsy, you should try a new career, other than customer service; you are rude, judgmental, and just an all around bad person. maybe flipping burgers or something else in that caliber of jobs.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. The store is dirty, the employees are rude, and make you feel like you are an inconvenience. I placed an order online for SAME DAY in-store pick up in the morning. The notice said that it should be ready by 2pm. The next day my order still was not ready for pick up. This was a problem as I needed my order SAME DAY. There were other store options but this one is closest to home for me so I chose it. Had I known the store is completely worthless I would have driven out of my way to the better locations. I called the store to try and find out why my order wasnt ready. 3 calls ended without an answer on the other end AT ALL. 2 calls were answered and I was placed on hold for 20 minutes each time before I proceeded to hang up and call back. I wanted to speak to a manager at this point, but guess what? There was no one available and I was placed on hold AGAIN. This store is run absolutely terribly and does not deserve anyones business. I will never step foot in this location again. I cancelled my order OVER 24 hours later and placed it with another location who was able to complete my order in a more timely fashion (SAME DAY - as originally promised). If you live in this area, please use the Ellicott City or Arundel Mills locations before ever choosing the Columbia location.
