UPPER LEVEL: HORRIBLE. If i could give this store 0 stars i would. I went to get my make-up done for my WEDDING and it was the worst experience of my entire life. I created this yelp account JUST to write a review for this place. I was given a $100 gift card for my birthday and decided i wanted to use it to get my makeup done after buying $50 worth of make-up. I had gotten my make up done at this location before for my birthday in 2014 and it was such a great experience that i decided to come back. I REGRET IT. Jen was the one that was assigned to do my make up I believe and I honestly dont know why. She was really really nice and sweet and a lovely person BUT she should not be doing make up. especially for someones wedding. I wrote on a message before my appointment that this day was very important and everyone in the store knew that but everyone in the store still managed to do the worst job ever on my make up. Never in my life have i had someone do such bad of a job on a make-over. Not only did Jen not know what she was doing AT ALL. None of her friends - or the rest of the sephora staff that morning (July 1, 2017 11am) know either. On top of that the store manager or whoever was in charge that day was extremely RUDE. She was no help and on top of seeing how bad of a job Jen did...she did nothing to fix my make up. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION. I had to rush home before my wedding ceremony to RE-DO my entire face. Unacceptable. Unprofessional. And if you think im exaggerating.....lets just say i wouldnt even go to the grocery store in the make up that they did that morning. I was even embarrassed walking to MY CAR. LOWER LEVEL: not as bad as the top. i rather get my things from here and never go to the second floor. the only bad thing is that they never have anything down there of course.

Ive been going to this sephora (the one on the upper level) for a few years now. The friendliness/helpfulness of the staff has fluctuated from standoffish/horrid to wonderful/knowledgable. But today made me sure that I will never return to this location. There are far too many sephoras close by to go back to this location. I was returning an online order (I do most my shopping online) that had been payed for with paypal. Right after the last sale, I had done a similar thing at a different location, and the employee informed me that as long as they could see the conformational email stating that it had been payed with paypal, they could return the funds to my card. I tried to explain this when the manager said the store policy was to only return with store credit. She briskly told me the employee at the other store was wrong and shouldnt have done that. Seeing as I shop at sephora all the time, I gave in and accepted the store credit, Id use it soon enough. Upon getting home and looking at the card, I realized I cant even use it online, but MUST be in the store to use it. Miffed, I called the VIB ROUGE hotline, where I was informed that they could certainly return the funds to a card with proof that it was paid for with paypal. So basically, I came into the store with a receipt, a confirmation email, and a verbal explanation of how this had been done before. I was told no, I was wrong, the other stores employee was wrong and was given store credit that I cant even use online. All in all, its not the end of the world since I shop there enough, Ill eventually use the damn thing. But what about customers that dont frequently shop at sephora? They can have multiple documents of their purchase, and still only receive store credit that cant even be used conveniently??

I love Sephora products. The staff, however, are mediocre, at best. The past few times I have visited, I have been sadly disappointed. Their first fault in my book came on New Years Eve. My best friend from out of town and I went looking to do makeovers and get some new products. My friend wanted to learn how to do a smokey eye properly. Not only would none of the people help her, they completely ignored her when she looked at a moderately priced brand instead of one of the ultra expensive ones. I ended up getting my makeup done, but the lady was rude and did not ask me what I wanted to have done, where I was going, or what products I was looking to buy. I came in again around Valentines day for an appointment for having a full face makeover. I was not greeted by any of the workers. I had to wait 30 minutes past my original starting time for the artist. She did not speak while applying the makeup. I was expecting her to recommend products and explain what she was doing. Instead she stood still until another artist walked by and briefly spoke with her. I was appalled at the lack of professionalism that was displayed. My most recent trip was one week ago. I was looking for bronzer for people with very fair skin. No one helped me or even said anything to me while I was walking aimlessly. I finally caught the attention of the same artist from the Valentines day fiasco. She reluctantly put some bronzer on me without saying a word. Even when I asked, I was not told what brand works best or what color to buy. I think I may have to find a new makeup shop (Nordstrom or MAC) because I will not be buying anything at this Sephora until the service drastically improves.

Horrible there was an amazing girl who helped me named Nia she was spot on beautiful friendly the whole nine. Until I heard with my own ears her manager tell her shes spending to much time with me and to help someone else considering I spent hundreds of dollars I would think Id get better service then a manager telling her associate to not help me but in reality I was profiled she saw me with two kids and probably assumed I couldnt pay for the products I asked her for help with one thing she said and I quote this isnt cheap mascara you have to use it a certain way are you sure you can do that I wanted to smack her but what kind of example would that set for my babies??? Im so disappointed in the behavior but all in all thank you Nia you were the only one who was wearing makeup that made sense and who had a good attitude

I love Sephora and spend hundreds there but staff there are downright disrespectful. They act as if they are better then you. The one in JCPenney is not as bad the one on the UPPER LEVEL. I do not think i will ever step foot in UPPER LEVEL store again. you would think the manger would be nicer but oh my good she (Tiffiny B.) was worse then her staff members. I HATE people who think they are better then the people around them. Every single staff member needs to get a reality check and seriously need to learn how to communicate with customers and learn some respect. I do not know how Sephora picks there employees but they really need to work on it. They are gonna start loosing customers soon.
