On Friday morning September 2, 2016 my engine light came on and due to the labor day holiday I was not expecting to be able to get an appointment on such short notice but to my surprise when I called to schedule an appointment Friday morning they scheduled me for an appointment for Saturday morning at 10:30 Great!!! I arrived at the dealership about 10 mins prior to my appointment, my service advisor was Keith Cobb. I was in the dealership a total of 5 hours from start to finish of my car. During this time I patiently waited and never received any update on the status of my vehicle. I checked with Keith around noon and he advised he has not received no update from the technician. I checked with Keith again around 2:22 and he wasnt aware of what color my vehicle was, he couldnt locate the technician that was suppose to work on my car and in additional he had to locate my car altogether. At this point I find that it is completely unacceptable that my advisor has not provided any updates to the status of my vehicle. But as Im waiting for him to provide some type of update I noticed my car was just pulled into the shop at 2:30. I approached the technician that pulled in my vehicle and he advised that he was just advised to pull in my vehicle. Are you kidding me 4 hours later my vehicle is just advised to be pulled in. I told Keith I have been here for 4 hours we still dont know why the engine light is on and we also dont know whether the technicians will be able to resolve the issue before the shop closes. I requested a loaner car and then Keith comes back to advise that it will only take 15 minutes to service my vehicle they are working on it right now. Instead of waiting in the waiting area I waited in the back parking lot to see exactly how long this will take. After my car was officially pulled in at 2:30; the technicians completed the work and pulled my vehicle out at 3:00p.m; still not ready because they had to complete a road test. The technician that worked on my vehicle advised that they were just advised to work on my vehicle when I saw my vehicle being pulled into the shop, my car was then road tested around 3:06 and taken through the wash and was finally ready at 3:15pm. Finally I got my vehicle and the paperwork was completed at 3:28p.m. The only thing I was told from my advisor is sorry for the wait. This is completely unacceptable. Lack of attention to the paperwork and lack of informing the customer of status of there vehicle. Highly considering driving a further distance to take my car elsewhere for service.

I came in last Friday for an oil change and tire rotation, and when I arrived I informed the service agent that the air pressure indicator for the front left tire kept coming on. I thought it was due to the drastic drop in temperature last week, and he told me they would look at it when they rotated the tires. I also asked to really check the brakes. When my car was finished, I asked about the tire and he assured me that they looked at it and reset the indicator. He also assured me that the brakes were looked at and were fine. Saturday, the indicator light came BACK on and I figured it was an issue with the sensor because it made NO SENSE that I was having an issue with the SAME tire since they were rotated. I added air Saturday evening and on Sunday morning, I had less psi than when I went to bed. On Monday, there was even less. This really made no sense to me at all. I returned to the service department today and told TWO service advisors about the issue and when I asked both of them on separate occasions, "how can I keep having issues with the same tire if they were rotated?". Neither responded, but both diverted eye contact and acted as if they were reading or writing. I was even told that I had to leave my car overnight so it can be checked. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? It was 2:00 in the afternoon! You wanted me to leave my car overnight so you can check a tire that you assured me you already looked at?!?!?! I told the service advisor that I would take it someplace else. He didnt seem to care that he was losing business and I didnt care that he didnt care. I spoke to a service technician that used to work in your service center (who left because he didnt like the way you all operated) as well as the one where I took my car. They both told me the same thing: they couldnt have rotated the tires if I was having an issue with the same tire. Not only did you not rotate my tire, I now question whether or not my oil was really changed and if you all performed the multi-point inspection! (Services that I paid for) You all are cheating your customers and this is very unethical!! (IF you had checked the tires like I was assured, you would have seen that there was a screw stuck in it). For those of you looking to get your car serviced, make sure you keep driving pass Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie!! (I wont even talk about how I chatted online twice last week and the week before and was told that a Service Manager would call and s/he never did!)

I can only speak from a service perspective as that is the only department I used. However, due to that experience, it will be the last department I ever use at this dealership. I have moved around nationwide and used many Chevy dealerships for routine maintenance. This was by far the worst experience. You may not think it is that bad, but being a diehard Chevy fan, this is not what should be expected from a dealership. I scheduled an appointment 1 week in advance. My appointment time was 1:00PM on a Saturday. I arrive about 5 minutes early not to waste their time or miss my appointment. After arriving, and being a new customer, I had to search around to find out where to go because unlike most Chevy dealerships, there was no one around. I find the service counter, but they are too busy talking amongst themselves to acknowledge that I am there. Once they finish their conversation (about 5 minutes) they acknowledge and ask how they can help. They check me in and I am given directions to the waiting room. Ive been sitting in the waiting room for about an hour and decide to walk around. Guess what I find, yep, my truck still sitting in the same spot. So now at 2:00PM (1 hour after my appointment time) my truck hasnt moved. It doesnt move until around 2:30PM an hour and a half past my appointment time. But, it doesnt move far, it only makes it about half way across the parking lot before whoever is driving sees someone they need to talk to. So my truck stops, the window goes down and the driver waves someone over to it. They sit there for 5 minutes talking about whatever, while the guy on the outside of my truck decides to lean on it laughing and layover the top of the hood like he cant control himself. Somewhere around 3:30PM I finally get my vehicle back. It doesnt take this long to do an oil change!!! Also, while I am sitting in their waiting room for 2.5 hours, 2 of their salesmen decide to come in and watch the news. Not too bad, except the loud conversation they decide to have is not appropriate for my two kids that are there with me. This was my first and last visit to this business. I wish I would have read the reviews before making an appointment. If you are reading this and looking for anything Chevy related, avoid this dealership at all costs. I will go out of my way to find another dealer for my Chevy needs.
