I was so excited to finally get here. I was told about them from my mother in law who lived near their original location for years. So, I walk in on Friday afternoon around 1:30ish not very busy yet. I see the owner to the right ( met him before at the other location) he was chatting with two people, and then I pause to take it all in. Beautiful place, nicely done, tasting bar, Ilses are nicely tagged , refrigerator are lit brightly. Very nice to the eyes. I love Craft beer, so I rush to the beer fridge and start my tour there. After 15 minutes or so of walking around I find myself at the tasting bar. It was empty, no one behind the bar. I look at the taps, mostly Terrapin. Okay, I like Terrapin, is this place open? I look to my right and the owner is still chatting. I wait a minute, we make eye contact. Then Nothing.... I assumed that maybe its too early for the bar to be open. No worries.... At this point Ive seen their beers but my friends havent. I get in a video chat with 5 buds and start my tour again so they can see what they have. Mind you we had plans that evening to hang , I really wanted to know if they wanted me to hall anything back. This is where my experience goes downhill, I hear a voice yelling from the customer service counter saying loudly " its okay if you take pictures , its isnt a problem!" I look over and he has a smile / smirk on his face and waves. I smile back and wave. My friends were like who was that? No biggie, I continue the video chat and walk along the fridge section. I get to the end and was met by that voice again. This time right in front of me. He says" sir its okay to take pictures , it no problem". I look at him and say , "okay thanks, I was video chatting with friends showing them what you had". He continues to explain how it would be nice if I would have asked him first. At this point I knew he was hot. He was trying to be polite. He said " sir , do you walk into peoples house taking pictures without permission"? "Its just common courtesy to ask first". Then he says again " its okay continue" and walks towards the front so I follow him. I keep my cool , he notices I am walking towards the door and his look was perplexed. He said again "its okay" . I look at him and said " I got your point" and left. I left feeling like I was doing something wrong, yet I knew I wasnt. I walked in so excited then that happened. Never once did he ask how I was doing, can I help you , or welcome. Instead he decided to lecture me on how I should have been more courtious in his PUBLIC establishment . Never have I felt so judged? ... I cant even think of a word. He was rude in a polite way. Again, I was excited to be there , ready to load up for a large gathering that evening with all craft beer lovers. A substantial amount was to be spent. Im really sorry this happened, more so than the money that I was going to spend. Its always nice to make a new friend and relationship with enthusiast in the craft beer community. This guy , I can tell isnt an enthusiast just a beer store owner. Good luck to him, but I will not step foot in there after feeling like I didnt belong. As for the beer selection, you can get everything they had anywhere else. Nothing stood out. Good for the folks in Bowie to have non the less. Limited on bombers of Belgium region. Only a few to choose from..

This is a hidden gem of a beer and wine store in Bowie. They have by far the largest selection between Route 3 and 197, and will track down more rare beers upon request with no hassle. Their customer service is top notch. The location is a little rundown but that doesnt keep them from making it a pleasant experience. They even have wine and beer tastings on Fridays. The big draw though is the selection. It is worth going a little out of the way to check it out. Edit: Their new location is in the shopping center by Harris Teeter. Basically all of the great service from the previous location, but a larger selection in a much nicer location. It is definitely worth checking out if youre looking for rare beer or an excellent wine selection.

Great selection and friendly service. If you want something they dont have, they will get it if they can. My only complaint is that there is no display to show the customer prices as entered at the cash register and the receipt isnt itemized so its easy to be overcharged and not realize it. I think Ive been overcharged before for items that were supposed to be on sale.

I love this place! Great selection of beer! Imports and craft beers are well represented here. They also have an amazing bar space with local and craft beer selections on draft. Enjoy a pint while you shop. Their wine selection is top notch as well. Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service, which has not changed when they moved to the new location. The store is new, and extremely pleasant to shop in, with what seems like thousands of wine choices.

Large selection of wines from around the globe and a wine expert that really knows his wine. Their old store was great and they have turned something great into something phenomenal.

On a hot night they gave me a glass of ice to take with me even though my purchase was only a buck 99. Thats what I call " fantastic " customer service. I highly recommend them !

Nice spot. However, they dont stock their products as often as they should. When they run out of something, it will take them 2 weeks or more to get it back on the shelf.

Its a new location of an old favorite. Great place to get good beer and now theyve added a wine by the glass bar. Kind of a cool idea.

They have a wide variety and you can taste test at the bar inside. Plenty of wine and beer tastings to find your next new beverage.
