The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to order anything you need if they dont have it in stock. Support your LOCALLY Owned and operated businesses! Here you are a LOT more likely to find American made products, like snow shovels that hold up and work well, unlike the cheap chinese JUNK the big box stores carry. Petros has a LOT more than the typical hardware store, such as bulk loam, rocks, mulch, paver stones, etc. - one of the few places in the L/A area that carry these things for homeowners!

Petros hardware is convenient and the guys who work there are very helpful. They arent just about selling stuff, but about helping customers figure out what they need, how to use it, etc. Its not a big place so selection can be limited, but its a convenient place to get everyday items and most hardscape / landscape type supplies. Its good to see at least one small hardware store surviving (and doing well!) in the days of big box stores.

John and his staff are very helpful, and know their customers well. Even if you are not yet a frequent customer, they will treat you like you are. This is an great example of a successful alternative to the more corporate big box stores. It is a store that you should be frequenting if you believe in buying local!
