The workers at JCPenny were super rude to me around the time of closing one guy in particular. First they watched me check out apparently I was the last customer??? Then once I was done checking out the workers were like okay your done? I said yeah Im just going to wait by the door because I didnt drive here someone else did and I have to wait for him as hes my ride. The response I got was less than concerned. Instead of being understanding that a woman with a kid cannot be out there in the dark alone I was told sorry you have to go outside because we are all leaving. You will be here by yourself because we are all leaving. So then I called my father who was my ride and told him they are being persistent on me leaving which they really were and the guy then says no Im not being persistent. I told him yes you are! He seemed to not like that and as he was opening the door there was no have a goodnight or anything. Rude people. Ghost town. Business will suffer tremendously with those kind of atttitudes!

Love this mall. People are so worried about the "hype" of the mall... Well the point of it is a one stop shop and walk. These malls are the best. The new fremeaux center is just the opposite. Most lazy people park as close as they can to each store and move their vehicles. The laziness of people astonishing to me. This mall is much better and watch history will bring these types of malls back. You can park at one spot and enjoy all the shops and WALK regardless of weather. The fremeaux center is the opposite you park in the middle and shops all around outside parameter and if you do walk at fremeaux cars vs pedestrians are much more of a chance. I really hope they do not let this mall waste away due to Hype. I enjoy getting out of the house and walking this mall and shops. Hopefully people will wake up and dont just judge because your shop isnt in there. Shop there and the vendors will come...

The mall has a lot of empty suites but the food court is still a nice & eclectic place for a quick bite. The At Home store is wonderful, as well as Hibbit Sports & Bath and Body Works. Those are the only places I visited on my quick trip but the Hallmark store looked excellent & there are other stores I would visit. The Fremaux Shopping Center is for more serious shopping but its all outside. The mall is clean & decent & great for some indoor browsing.

There is a mural outside of Northshore Square Mall of street musicians playing in the French Quarter. I have been told by Security that I cannot play my guitar, outside, under this mural, or that I face being arrested. Google the phrase "Louisiana heritage" and youll find puctures of street musicians like myself and the mural above. Now I know why this mall is going under - its being run by nazis. Dont support this establishment.

This place has seen better days. Used to be fairly nice about 15 years ago or so, but it does seem the majority of indoor malls are heading in the same direction. I can not understand why the city of slidell would allow for a new mall to be built and additional land developed when there are two malls lying fallow. This place has become mostly bargain type chains but I do suppose it does serve a purpose.

The mall is decent enough and pretty clean for the area but as other have said the majority of the mall is vacant. My wife and i counted 30 something empty store fronts last week. The only things that keep us going there are the FYE Entertainment Store for their heavily discounted movies, tv seasons, and merchandise, and its the only Chick Filet on this side of towm.

I live near this mall, but i feel like this mall will be torn down eventually because there are hardly any stores open. The stores left open are The home store and dillard clearance store, basically just stuff other dillards dont want to sell. and there is a jc pennys but they about to close and the stores inside. The Fremaux Town Center is way better

This is a dying mall whos best days are behind it. If you have shopping needs the Fremaux Center is the place to go in Slidell. Several businesses that were at the mall relocated there. Smart move, the stores go where the shoppers are, and they are not at Northshore square ☹️

I have always loved this mall. They have lost a lot of their tenants but their are still a lot there too. Its is still clean and safe and has lots of good people who work there. If you love the mall like me, keep going. They may redeveloped but they will still be in my heart

This mall appears to be slowly going out of business with many stores leaving to go to the fremaux mall. The places that are still open have friendly staff for the most part. If this side of slidell develops more we may see more businesses come back to this mall.

Once the place to shop on the Northshore, is dieing. Most of the big names have pulled out of this area and gone to the Town Center complex. Its time to turn the property into something useful instead of the vacant lot that it is most of the time.

Although many of the businesses have closed, this mall still has a Penneys and a Dillards clearance center where you can find unbelievably low prices! And when youre ready for hot food and a cold drink, theres still ChickfilA and Auntie Annes.

There arent many stores here because some relocated to a newer mall. The place looked very empty. The food court, however, is full of vendors. I was going to a particular store and needed to have lunch, so the mall was good for my visit.

Visited At Home to return some merchandise. The rest of the mall is basically dying. Only about one third of the businesses are occupied. The only saving grace is the food court, which still has several vendors that serve lunch.

Last year all the kids went to this mall for trick-or-treating for Halloween & I was wondering if it will be this year too???? Thought this was a grate idea for kids to be safe & hoping that this would be going on this year too.

It seemed empty. We went to the Dillards store, heard they had some great prices and they were right. While walking through the mall to get to Dillards there were a lot of empty spots, but still some good choices for stores.

Really nice mall, with quite a few local owners. A glow in the dark golf course is a very unique arlttraction and several outlet stores give good values. Lots of jewelry shops and shoe stores round out the location.

Wish they would have more stores in it. Very disappointed that everyone of my favorite stores closed!! And a few of them are just gone for good. They didnt even put it in the new shopping center.

Dead Mall. Most of the stores are closed., but if youre looking for bargains you can shop at Dillards discount store and also JCPenneys is going out of business so theres discounts there as well.

Its definitely losing business, but the fact I can go to a mall with a nice selection of stores, and not be shoulder to shoulder with people, is great. Plus, auntie Annes pretzels, come on now.
