I had bought a pair of Worx 5525 Steel Toe boots from this store for my insulation fab shop job. Around 6 months in, the inner lining started wearing out. I didnt believe I had gotten what I paid for since my last pair of boots were Survivors from Wal-Mart and the inner lining held up until the outside of the boot started coming apart! (about a 1 1/2 years). I went to the store and talked to the single employee there, only to hit a stone wall. He kept telling there was nothing he can do, even when I explained that I didnt feel a $110 pair of boots should start wearing down after only 6 months, especially on the inside which is critical for foot health! This is the point where his tone started becoming accusing and onery, as if I was a criminal for not wanting the steel part of the boot sticking into my toe. (The rest of my interactions with him till the end of my dealings with this nightmare involves him talking over me EVERY chance he got, even when I tried to ask him politely to follow some semblance of mannerly communication . After asking for the manager, he kept telling me that the manager would tell me the same thing, that there was nothing they could do. I asked for the managers number and the employee refused to give it to me, and told me he would be in the next day. I came in immediately after work, to find that the manager was nowhere to be found. The employee told me in a mocking voice "Well I guess even managers have to take a day off dont they?" I told him I was very disappointed in his quality of customer service, with him ignoring me and STILL talking over me every chance he got. He finally let up and called the manager on his own phone. I started talking to the manager, explaining calmly what had happened with the shoes. When I start telling him about the rudeness of his employee, THE $^% STARTS LAUGHING AT ME. At this point I was so astounded, I didnt even feel anger anymore. I picked my jaw up off the ground and told the manager that I couldnt even talk to him without his salesman acting like a complete fool. Right away he told me they would replace the boots for free and that all I had to do was turn in my old boots and fill out a blue slip for the replacement. The whole process of the blue slip and swap out consisted of the employee making childish insults at me, even telling me that he would never ever get fired from this. I didnt say a word past that point and just took my boots and walked out. In summaryI had gotten what I wanted but had to go through the most painful ordeal with a salesman that I could imagine. Im thankful that the owner was very polite and understanding, while the employee barely registered on my scale as having any form of civilized behavior. I dont recommend going to this store again, as Im guessing the employee was a family member (after telling me so confidently he wouldnt get fired) and might not have incurred any repercussions for his behavior. I hope that Red Wing can start to put as much attention into the inner part of their Worx 5525s as they do the outside.

After reading the above opinions I was hesitant about going. I spoke to a friend who said he had bought several pairs of boots there. So I decided to give them a try, hoping this location was better than the one I went at siegen. Well to my sunrise, this was a great visit...the owner is also the operator of the store. Not like the one on siegen as I understand it. This store had a bigger selection, and several sizes in stock. The owner measured my feet about 5 times, them brought me 3 pairs of boots to try on....needless to say I bought a pair....check out was fast and painless. I will buy here again. Perfect visit not too pushy or inattentive .....Excellent

I am an over the road truck driver, I stopped in yesterday for a new insole, I called first for directions, thank you Jim for excellent customer service :-) I been driving trucks for 20 years & nothing goes on my feet but Red Wing Shoes including the socks :-)

Best Red Wing store in the state! I have since moved to north La and Mrs. Deena mails my boots to me when I order a new pair. Top notch group of people that truely care for their customers. I would change brands before i would order from another store.
