Horrible customer service after the sale! When you are browsing show room and looking to purchase furniture everyone is so nice, the owner even came and spoke to my husband and I, great experience until you purchase something! Especially if it is a "custom" order! All we got was a different color than what was in showroom. 10 -12 weeks for "custom" orders, we agreed. 13 weeks later our furniture was at the warehouse, after us calling repeatedly. We couldnt get delivery until a week after, so now we have waited 14 weeks! Furniture comes in Damaged! Tear on back of sofa a board is pushing out, and fabric is messed up in some areas. So the delivery guy takes pictures and will send to his "boss" to contact us about repairs. 3 days later no one has called, I reach out to American Factory Direct - no help - oh you have to contact customer service! Finally get someone to help, get "repair" scheduled. Then come out again (after we have had to take off work) and take the same pictures the delivery guy did and say they would submit them! Are you kidding me, that was a 1/2 day of work wasted. Finally get a response from Cat Napper that the material will be shipped to us when received, call in to schedule repair! Here we are 1 1/2 months later, furniture is still sitting in our delivery room damaged, American Factory Direct has been no help!!!! Furniture repair company "Fast Furniture Repair" is horrible, rude and horrible customer service! after 3 attempts and 3 conversations, they still will not schedule a time to come to our house when we are home, they schedule whatever time they want "stating they have a schedule" yes I understand that, but I have a job and in order to pay for $2400.00 living room set I purchased I need to work, and we have already taken off twice for them to take pictures!!! Again, American Factory Direct has been no help!!! They will sell you furniture and the expensive "all inclusive, great" warranty package, but dont think you will get good customer service after the sale or if furniture needs to be repaired. This is definitely a lesson learned, we are new to this area and will NEVER purchase from American Factory Direct - Baton Rouge or anything Cat Napper brand again! You fooled me once, but never again!

My wife and I first purchased our master bedroom set from Chris Googe several years ago. We had searched numbers of stores for several years before finding a beatiful bedroom set from AFD. We have a very unique home, over 200 years old, that not just any modern furniture would look appropriate in. Chris worked with my wife to find the perfect furniture, we purchased, had it delivered and all set up. Dont think it could have been easier. During that first purchase Chris explained a number of times Ms. Pam was their interior designer and would walk through our house at no charge and would help find / design our living spaces. After about 10 years of searching for the perfect living furniture, my wife found herself back at AFD. We recognized and remembered Chris from years before. He spent 2 or 3 days going over a number of different options. Again he told us about Ms. Pam and AFDs free interior design service. We finally took them up on their offer. Ms. Pam and Chris are both masters at their craft. We now, after 13 years, are finally making our house a home thanks to Chris Googe, Ms. Pam and American Factory Direct. With the help of Ms. Pam, we went from simply purchasing a sofa to making our living room / dining room the beautiful space we had always known it could be. Because of Ms. Pams creativity, we did not have purchase all new furniture, she took what we had and arranged it perfectly. We obviously believe in and trust Chris, Pam and AFD with beautifying our home and biggest investment. To say I simply recommend them, is not saying enough. Thank you Chris Googe, Ms. Pam and American Factory Direct for helping make our home even more special. Please ask for Chris Googe when you visit AFD and if you have a difficult room decorate, no doubts Ms. Pam can help make any space work. Blair

We had a decent enough shopping experience a few weeks ago when picking out a coffee table and two end tables. The coffee table we purchased was the floor model and we picked it up a couple days later. The end tables had to ordered from another store and we were told that they would be in in 2-3 weeks and someone would call us to let us know when they arrived. We waited a little over three weeks and then called them this past Sunday to check on them. At that time I was told that our salesperson (and everyone else in the store) was too busy "to do anything with Purchasing" that day. I was also told that she (the lady who answered the phone) would have to email my salesperson, despite her being in that day, about my call/order and that since she was out on Monday and Tuesday, she would not be getting back with me until Wednesday. I asked if someone else could possibly help me Monday or Tuesday and she said no. I waited all day Wednesday - no call. It is now Thursday, a week after the tables were supposed to be in, and Im calling the store to check on them and have been on hold for 10 minutes. The person who answered the phone cut me off in the middle of my first sentence saying I was calling to check on my end tables to ask me who my salesperson was. When I told her, she put me on hold and has never come back to the phone. I feel like because I paid for these tables in advance they have no reason to provide even a minimum level of decent customer service.

Had a disappointing experience at the Airline Hwy store there this morning. I dropped by to look for some living room furniture and, when I saw the clearance center was open, decided to look there before going into the main store. I received no greeting from a man (I really couldnt apply the term "gentleman" in this case) in a royal blue polo carrying a clipboard who was also entering the clearance center. I walked around, he passed by me a few times and looked at me without saying anything or smiling, then went to the very back of the warehouse to chat with a couple shopping there, then passed me again without a word and went on to the loading dock to converse with someone whom I assumed to be a delivery man. Needless to say I didnt linger after that, nor will I bother to bring my custom to the main store. I do hope the management will address the issue of customer service with their employees, and perhaps remind them that in this economy, and in a business that supplies products offered by multiple competitors in the area, they can not afford to pick and choose which customers deserve their attention, or indeed, a simple statement of welcome.

POOR, POOR treatment with American Factory Direct on Airline. Went in to buy furniture 2 months ago. Still havent gotten it. Purchased a special order item and was told it would take 6 weeks to arrive. Found out 4 weeks later that the sales person forgot to have us sign paperwork so it have never been ordered. Had to prompt the manager to problem solve the issue. Was told that it would take another month to arrive. Weeks later we visit the store to check on the status and were treated very rudely by our sales person. Weeks after that when we were told they would deliver the items to us, we get a call saying that all of the furniture we ordered had been damaged. 2 months of waiting and all that trouble for nothing! On top of it all, were having a baby next week so now there is no place for the visitors were expecting to sleep. They have made these last few months more stressful than it should have been. We ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend American Factory Direct for your furniture needs. It was an AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
