So I’m in Madisonville earlier today and I’ve got a little time on my hands, so i decide to finish up some Christmas Shopping.
Mistake #1 - even thinking about going to the mall.
When you walk into this place…the outward appearances seem to deceive you every step closer to the building. Walking in you notice that there’s a Peebles, Dollar Tree, and a Goody’s. I mean come on, when was the last time you were out shopping and said “hey…why don’t we go to Goody’s everybody?”
See, scenarios like this NEVER happen. Why? Because GOODY’S SUCKS. I mean…Goody’s would be an alright store….IF IT WAS THE YEAR 1997! There are clothes in there that I wouldn’t even wear for my Halloween costume!!! Secondly, The Dollar Tree…WOW. I don’t know about you but I constantly get sick and tired of seeing those…”EVERYTHING IN THIS STORE IS 1 DOLLAR OR LESS!” signs. I mean…I would LIKE to believe this is true! So what do I do? I do what everybody does…grab a 24 pack of Coca-Cola and try to buy it for a dollar. What do I get instead? “No, that’s not a dollar…only one of those is…” THEN WHY ARE YOU DISPLAYING THAT IT’S A DOLLAR???
And Lastly, Peebles. Gahhh…the more I look at this sign the sadder I get. It’s depressing! Why even TRY to copy Macy’s? The only thing they got in there that I would actually want to buy is cologne. And it’s freakin 100 dollars! And it’s probably some watered down piece of crap that wouldn’t stay on you 10 seconds after you sprayed it.
I Swear…God only knows how Madisonville’s Mall keep their doors open.
So next time your in Madisonville, Dont even think about going to the mall for your shopping needs. You would probably be better off walking down the road to Madisonvilles Goodwill. At least there you have a chance of finding an article of name brand clothing. Even if it was torn, stained, and smelled of last weeks holiday ham.

This mall is pathetic and needs to die; but judging from the condition of it, it will meet that fate with expedience. While waiting on a movie to start in the parking lot the mall cop security guard chased us (2 adults) away for "loitering" at 9 pm. I guess if they view shoppers/guests as trespassers they can have the decaying edifice, empty stores, and archaic inventory to themselves.

They call it a mall, but dont expect one. They have a few good stores (Burkes Outlet, Bath & Body Works, Dillards), but not much else. It gets an added star for having a decent movie theater at one end. They also have a Tumbleweed if you like that chain.

Hardly any stores you actually want to shop at, and hardly ever anything you need. The restaurants and movie theater are its only redeeming features.
