I went to get my makeup done there for prom yesterday. And they completely ruined my night, caused so much stress on me I cried the most I have in a long time. One girl that did my makeup messed everything up. The eye liner was half of my eye lip and it wasnt a straight line or even near that. The fake lashes stuck to my eyes and burned so bad. My foundation literally looked grey. She didnt even put the contour and highlight in the right place. I started crying because it looked so bad and she didnt know how to fix it, she asked for help and they all looked at me and I could see in their eyes it looked as bad as I thought. So an older lady tried to do my makeup. And she did a much better job, but it was for prom, she did it more like everyday makeup and it looked so natural. I had on my skin color eye liner. No highlight or any contour or highlight. So I literally had to buy black eye liner there and put it on in the car. By then, my appointment was at 1pm and it was near 5. I had to leave with my makeup not good or done and go get my hair done, then come back. I started crying again because I missed prom pictures and dinner with my friends. So I was heartbroken, and got even more upset. They gave me free of charge to get my makeup done (but I had to go home and RE DO all of my makeup I 10 minutes) and a 20% off my next purchase, they promised some free samples but I never received them at all. Never going back for makeup or probably anything sadly, my prom was completely ruined and Im so upset. They helped the best they could, but I suggest they work on classes for their makeup "artists" Having the makeup remover they promised as a free sample would have been great but guess my problem didnt mean much to them, and the mascara booster they also promised wasnt given to me.

Scheduled an appoinmet at the brow bar to have lashes glued on for prom. Scheduled my apt for 4:45. An hour before the apt they called and wanted to move me to 4:30, I said no. I get there at 4:45 only to be told that not only was my name not on the list, but that they dont even schedule apts for that time. She said she would squeeze me in but when I handed her the lashes Id previously bought, I was told they dont do that, that she only does brows. (They offer 2 services, brows and lashes, its on the sign above her head) so she tells me she doesnt even know how to do that and grabs another girl. So around 5:10 Im finally getting my lashes started. Without even sizing and trimming the lashes, She has me close my eyes and just mashes the strip to my lid and told me to keep them closed til it dried. When I finally tried to open them my eyes had both been glued shut! She uses a painful makeup remover to unglue my eyes. Theyre not even curved to follow the natural lash line, just straight across, with all the lashes pointed down. Its incredibly uncomfortable and makes me look high because of the droopy eye shape. (Which she "fixes" by making my eyeliner thicker) Im charged for the service and she asked for a tip which i declined on. It was honestly hard to enjoy my evening because of the discomfort and constant adjusting. When I finally got to take them off, it was clear she applied the glue (far too much of it) to the bottom side that shouldve rested against my natural lashes, but was instead mashed onto my lid, instead of the edge where it shouldve gone.

I was very disappointed today with my trip to the brow bar. What usually takes a good 30 minutes at the Hamburg location, because they take their time and do an excellent job, took 10 minutes (for wax & tint) at the South Park location. I left with brows that were too dark, eyebrow tint on my nose and face, and the tail on my left brow was about half an inch too short. She didnt even bother to fill them in. When concealing the redness around my brows, she rushed through it and made me feel like I was taking up her time. I also came in for a new full coverage foundation. While the color matched my skin, I was not satisfied with the coverage and instead of suggesting a new foundation, she insisted we conceal problem areas and then use a tinted powder for more coverage. After insisting my skin looked great, I bought it. When I got home, I looked at myself and was so upset at my 70 dollar purchase of not just foundation, but a tinted power because the foundation didnt do its job for my skin type. I immediately called the Ulta at Hamburg and they told me to come in. Shelby found me an excellent foundation, took the time to try different shades, listened to my opinion and even gave me tips on how to get rid of the excessive tint on my brows. Without issue, they exchanged the foundation and powder and were very kind and helpful because I was obviously frustrated and disappointed. Thanks to the Ulta at Hamburg for making a bad experience more positive.

I think that Ulta is the best place in Lexington to get any of your cosmetic needs. Everyone that works there is extremely knowledgeable about the products and very polite. Whenever I have gone in the store, the girls greet me with a smile on their face and a kind demeanor that is always willing to help. I also have noticed that although some shoppers are hostile and mean or aggressive because they cant use their coupon on everything in the store, the Ladies never loose there temper and if they need to get a manager, they do everything in there power to accommodate the customer. They give exemplary customer service and should be rewarded for their efforts that most likely go unnoticed. I have not yet gotten my hair cut there, but received a 20% off coupon for the salon when i signed up for their free beauty club card, my friend however did and her hair looked the best it ever has!! On the way out we also got our brows done at the benefit counter and THEY ARE PERFECT, the girl who did them was Rachel. If you want to get wonderful make-up and fantastic service, go visit ULTA in Southpark shopping center! Im sure you will be more than satisfied!!

I paid $45.00 for the worst haircut that I have ever had. I got the "Signature" cut and conditioning treatment, only to have what looks like really damaged hair. I did not realize how bad it was at the salon, because she round-brushed it, teased it, flat ironed it and put so much product in it that it actually did not look that terrible. So, even though I knew then that she had not given me the hair-cut that I asked for, I did not know exactly how poorly it was cut. I actually had to cut it myself the next day, because she did not get all my bangs cut. And, it is so short now, that I really can not "cut-out" all the frizzy edges that she put in there. And, I am not sure what the point of the conditioning treatment was, because my hair looks drier than ever. I will never go back.
