WARNING: Shopping at Kroger may be hazardous to your car! Corporate Kroger takes 0 responsibility for poorly designed ramp. On a shopping trip to Euclid Kroger, on the way up the ramp to rooftop parking, I moved slightly to the right to avoid a collision with a car coming down the ramp. As a result, I snagged a protruding guardrail end at the back of my car, putting a large gouge in the backdoor, and hole in the rear panel; $4500 worth of damage. Within the space of three days, I encountered reports of two similar incidents, simply by chance: 1: When I went downstairs to report the incident to Kroger management, the customer service personnel at the counter told me the same thing had happened to his car THAT VERY SAME DAY. The back door from HIS car was sitting behind him at the service desk. It had been ripped off his car by the same hazardous guard rail. 2. When I took my car to the Body Shop for an estimate two days later, the estimator told me he had just fixed another customer’s car that was damaged from the same hazard at the same Kroger location. Personnel at Kroger told me that a mirror had just been installed the week before on the ramp –nearly a year after the store opened. Why? However, the mirror would not help anyone to see the protruding guardrail end when it is both behind them and about nine inches from the ground, between their car’s right side and the wall itself. The way the guardrail is installed creates a hazard on the ramp. The ramp makes a sharp turn, and the guardrail is installed in two separate pieces, with the rail at the top part of the ramp extending out past the guardrail going UP. (imagine a “T” with a tilted top: the left side of the top of the T is the guardrail sticking out, the base of the T the guardrail going up). Had the guardrail been installed with the bottom rail extending past the end of the top rail, people would not be snagging their cars on the end of the top guardrail that sticks out. Corporate Kroger said this was my fault for hitting a stationary object and denied my claim. Local Kroger said that they know this is a “HUGE PROBLEM” , and that they “are working on it.” Apparently corporate Kroger first has to give the OK for getting it fixed before anything can be done. WHY HAVEN’T THEY? Not wanting to admit fault? In the meantime, customers AND employees(!) continue to be at risk and are spending thousands of dollars in repairs. When I told corporate customer relations of the two other people I happened to meet who also damaged their cars the same way as me (just by random chance!) the customer service rep said “it was only one other customer”….. indicating I guess, that it’s ok for employees to damage their cars, and are not counted. However, they still said this was my fault. Kroger admit to and fix your problems so customers don’t spend $5000 for a loaf of bread.

summer 2016... this is the recent reconstruction of the store. It has some upgrades like the Starbucks kiosk. There are tables in the back for having a deli snack indoors. Certain items are expanded, like the beer cave. In general it has % 70 of what you are after. The layout of the items is insane. It is not unusual to have the exact same item in 3 spots or have items of one type, say pimento cheese spread in 3 locations. If that wasnt bad enough they recently rearranged. The big problem is parking ...the surface lot is a real mess..often impossible to park, backout, load or exit. Cars gridlocked looking for a spot. There often is a policeman on Euclid trying to direct the traffic. The parking above suffers from a poorly designed ramp. There is a steep ramp with a 90 degree right as you go up. Low cars will hicenter and scrape ..if its wet and snowy cars spin tires and slide. If you have a manual transmission or double clutch type this ramp can be a mess if there is a line. Too bad they didnt copy other stores that have a parking garage below. -=j=-

Love love this store, I go out of my way to shop there. However, the baggers do not listen ... I ask every time I buy a pie - please keep it level/flat, dont bag it ... so that the crust doesnt get crushed ... but no one, checkers, baggers, even managers who step in to help bag, can not seem to get this. Bakery pies should not be put upside down or sideways in a bag! Also, many times I am buying two orders, so ask them to please sack separately, and I use the separating bar and remind the checker when I pay, and the bagger when I see them goof ... but still, I have yet to have bagging done correctly. And dont even get me started on squished bread! Seriously, how hard is it to not put cans on top of soft bread? I do love the store tho and the employees are so helpful ... except for bagging ... Also, open mic night is a really cool thing, but no one at the store has a clue about schedule or any details .... how is this possible?

If i could give this pharmacy a 0 I definitely would! 5 out of 10 times I have been there they have made me wait on my prescriptions only for them to tell me that they are out of it. 2 of the 10 times they have filled only a portion and told me to come back in a few days to get the rest because they are out of it. Then the last time that I went, I had called ahead to get the rest of my prescription that they hadnt filled the time before and called in a new one. They told me it would be ready in a half an hour. I gave them an extra 15 minutes knowing how slow they are and when I arrived to pick up my prescriptions they handed me the rest of the first one I had to pick up and then preceeded to tell me that they had LOST my other one! Then I had to wait another 25 minutes for them to fill a new one and then they put me in the back of a 6 person line even though I had already waited the first time! This pharmacy is a joke and horrible!

First a personal statement upon hearing they were closing my neighborhood Kroger, folks in the BelleCourt neighborhood were up in arms at having to chase across town to go Krogering but then word circulated informing us of All New, Bigger&Better UK Campus Kroger on Euclid in the works and WOW the growing pains caused of resisting change couldnt have been more worth rhe few creaks and groans an across town drive instead of the hand in hand stroll we missed less than a year. This revamped parking, mini SuperDooper almost European market styled StarBucks included, placed Imediately inside the doors to Romance customers noses- enticing one to, though hurried on schedule, allow a slowing of frenzied in and out to a much more enjoyable if not leisured "look at all the new Lush offerings" born of patient compromise, now available at my New Neighborhood Kroger stroll on Euclid Kroger kin, Happy Grilling summer Campus dwellers 17!!!
