I recently returned to Wichita after working out of state. It was my first chance to get my new Rx and sunglasses adjusted from the place they were purchased. Because my glasses were expensive, I waited to have them professionally adjusted. Unfortunately, this did not happen. Jo, the lady who sold me my glasses and had adjusted them in the past, was on vacation. The young man and woman who were on duty were not as skilled or professional as Jo. It was not a good experience and I had to return the next day because their first attempt to adjust my glasses was not done correctly. When I returned the next day for another attempt at an adjustment, the same young man was on duty. When he went to the back to attempt to adjust my glasses again, I went to the reception desk and discussed my concerns with the 2 ladies behind the counter. One of the ladies went to the back room and apparently mentioned my concerns with the young man. I quickly learned this was a mistake to have voice my concerns. When he returned with my glasses, instead of handing them to me, he slid them across the desk and said, "here you go!" He never once looked to see how they fit on my ears. He looked from across the counter and suggested they looked fine. When I asked him to adjust my sunglasses, I assumed because of their expense, he would use the available tools or instruments to make the adjustments. Instead, he used his fingers to adjust the nose pieces. I am very fortunate he did not break them. After this, I finally gave up! I am very disappointed the service and the unprofessional way I was treated. There are many places in Wichita and the surrounding area to have my eyes examined and to purchase my glasses. Apparently Lentz Eye Care has plenty of business and can afford to lose mine.

I have been going to Lentz Eye Care for over 14 years. They were referred to me by an associate of mine when I moved to Wichita from Kansas City. I was impressed with the professionalism with which the organization was run. Everyone, from the Dr.s to the staff and office personnel are courteous, helpful, and have a sense of humor--which I enjoy. They go out of their way to make your eye exam experience a good one---

My glasses slipped off my nose while looking over the railing on The Keeper of the Plains bridge Saturday afternoon. I was able to schedule an exam Tuesday afternoon and had my new Rx and frames in less than 24 hrs. I was also able to get a new pair of sunglasses with the buy one frame get the second at 50% off. Thats great service when I needed it most.
