This store is very disappointing and has clueless, unhappy staff that ended up here because they couldnt make it into the real world of cosmetology. My girlfriend and I went to this store to look at hair extensions for a special occasion 1 day ago. There was a young employee that helped her "match" her shade and said it matched perfectly. My girlfriend then asked if she could return them if they ended up not matching. The employee said she could absolutely return them as long as it was within 60 days. My girlfriend got home, took them out of the package and they were not even a little bit close to her hair color. Today we went back to return them with the receipt. An employee immediately said all sales on hair are final. My girlfriend explained that the employee that sold them to her said she could return them within 60 days. This lady saw us the previous night in the store ... And still refused to have them returned as another employee rudely scoffed at my girlfriends question. I am very disgusted at this store. Especially with such an expensive product. Long story short, make sure the person who sells products to you at this store knows what the heck they are talking about.

They carry what time need for dying my hair and at a really good price. For that alone I would be willing to give 5 stars, but the other products actually take them down. For a beauty supply store the selection of makeup is almost nonexistent and for being off-brand mediocre products they cost as much as or more than what you can get at a local drug store, where you wouldnt have to worry about age of the product affecting quality. There is a larger selection of nail polish in relation to the makeup, but quality not so great and waxes... I bought a $12 very small yet supposedly good bucket of hot wax, it was apparently so old, or hot/cold affected that it wouldnt melt, at all. Youre not suppose to heat more than 60 secs, just to see what would happen I put it I the microwave 6 times for 45 second and it barely became pliable enough to get the spreader stick stuck. I didnt bother taking it back. The hair dye and supplies are the only reason to go there. They should consider a name change to Sallys Hair Supply.

I went to buy products to highlight my hair, I have med/dark brown hair. I bought the wella Carmel and asked the sales person what else I needed she said developer. So I grabbed one and said is this one ok, she said yes. Long story short, not one shade of difference in my hair. I guess I was supposed to use a bleach developer... thanks glad spent $30 for nothing!!

I have been to this store 3 times now and they always treat me rudely. Im always nice and polite to these ladies. I do not understand why they have to be this way. I will not be returning to this store. I recommend one of the stores in Overland Park, Ive received much better treatment.
