The only reason this gets one star is because it wont let me put zero stars. Ive never been treated so poorly as when I came into this place. Betsy is rude and insults customers as well as the staff. Her insult to me was about my hair. I have well maintained dreadlocks and her comment was, "if its one hairstyle I hate its dreads; they stink." If I would have known that by going in there I would be insulted and judged on my choice of groom I would have never gone in there to spend money. I dont support businesses that mistreat human beings. The rest of the staff is amazing and very personable, and Im quite surprised that anyone still works there with the way they are treated. The food is ok and the drinks are the same as any coffee shop. If you want to be treated badly and be disrespected then go to revelations.

good basic vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare. excellent pizzas although the toppings are a little thinner than they used to be (but then, everythings gotten more expensive in this world). good coffee, pastries nice, tho the scones arent as good as they used to be (kind of bland now, but far better than most places and the fast-food places). excellent omelets, pizzas, generous sandwiches. interesting ambiance and great book collection. this a shop where you can bring in your used books and you get credit toward future book purchases - so it makes for a nice personal library revolving door

This has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Fairfield. However, lately, the food has been pretty bad. Great coffee and drinks but its like the cook is afraid to use salt and spices. Most recently I got the worst quiche I have ever seen. About an inch thick and zero flavor. Not to mention the dough was all wrong and undercooked. More like a quiche tart. Step up your game Revs. I miss the good food! Besides all that, its a great place to find good books, good people and great ambiance.

This place has a charm to it that none other in Fairfield can match. So, for its uniqueness value, I give it 5 stars. Used Books and a down-home feel make it a regulars hangout. The food is okay. Stick with the wood-oven pizzas. They arent anything to write home about, but theyre okay. Their beverages are atrocious, hence their sign on the door to not bring in outside food and beverages. I used to get coffee from Cafe Paradiso and take it across the street to eat lunch at Revs.

An outstanding lunch cafe. Extensive organic selections with uniquely exquisite soups and sandwiches. Try the pizza made in there wood fired oven. Fantastic flavors. And their cakes are amazing too. My only complaint is that service can be slow as they really pack the customers in.

Great Atmostphere and good food for an Iowa restaurant. The service has gone very downhill in recent years and prepare to be treated rudely if you complain about anything. This restaurant used to serve a lot of organic salads and dishes, and be the buzz of the town. Now its just OK.

Came for lunch and to try the pizza. It was excellent. Nice atmosphere too. For a first visit, on the strength of the delicious wood fired pizza we give it high marks. Oh, and the homemade chocolate cake was wonderful.

Revelations has great food, fantastic coffee and the best wood-oven pizza in Iowa! Plenty of space and seating even when busy so you never feel cramped...

Love Revs Cafe. Delicious drinks and they have excellent food. For breakfast I recommend the Elk Sausage Omlete or the Bacon Egg and Cheese croissant.

The wood-fired pizzas are really tasty. Definitely the best option here. Everything is a bit pricey though. All around good atmosphere.

The book section is great. I am sensitive to impurities in water, this water is lightly filtered if filtered at all.

Some nice deserts and teas, but nothing good that you can eat for lunch or dinner, except for pizza.
