The guys working inside are really nice. The stores policy on returns is what I hated. I bought an xbox 1 game that I was told was backward compatible foe an xbox 360. Long story short it didnt work because I needed an additional external hard drive that they didnt tell tell me I would need to be able to download the game. I took it back 2 hours after I bought and they would only give me store credit for not even what I paid for it. They would not refund $1 because it left the store and they did not give me credit for my sales tax. I will only do business with Gamers one more time and that will be to use my store credit and I will never set foot in another store again. Shame on you and your shady returns process. ***In response to your reply*** I am new to owning an xbox 360 and your staff told me that a game for xbox1 was compatible with my 360. I took it home and it didnt work. I took it back and thats when they told me I would need to buy a $30 hard drive to make it work. I would have been happy with full in store credit. I got charged the $1 try it fee and they would not credit the sales tax. If you would prefer I not call your returns process shady. Then I will refer to it as a great way to lose a customer.

Shopped in this Gamers a lot growing up and still stop in from time to time. Just wish the prices hadnt gone through the roof for everything. Often times I find that the rarer games for classic systems such as SNES have prices on them double what the going rate is. An example would be Chrono Trigger. I saw this game on the shelf for $150.00 The going rate on Ebay is $75-$80 for a copy of the game (cartridge only). So I have to imagine they paid whomever traded that game in something like $25, and then they want $150.00 for it. I get that they make their money off of used sales, but the prices used to be at least respectable, now theyre just outlandish. I distinctly remember back in the days of the PS2 and original Xbox when I used to be able to snag new games that had barely been played, and traded in for $37. Now the pricing seems to be $55 for these games which is just silly. Why not just spend $5.00 and get a new copy? Still a fun store to poke around in, just wish the good old days of lower prices would come back.

Bought a mid range retro game and ended up with a repro. Worth under half as much as we paid. Called them to explain the situation (we live 2 hours away, so couldnt just bop over to the store) and got jerked around for a week as to wether they were going to take care of it or not. Would never call us back, just kept putting us off and saying theyd let us know and wed eventually just have to call them back because they would not get in contact with us. Finally offered to extend return window until we could drive back up to the store, but only offered store credit, when THEY were representing repros as the real thing. We were NOT impressed. If you value customer service whatsoever, then this is not the place for you!

I can definitely see why people might think this is a terrible place. The place is kinda dirty and the staff is quite unproffesional and you can take that as good or bad because the staff is knowledgeable about games. But they were talking to each other, cursing, laughing,etc. Overall they offer great prices and the staff is much more willing to help you save a few compared to say, gamestop who will milk your wallet. I reccomend the place, with reservations

Have always enjoyed going into Gamers as the staff is always responsive, informative, and generally friendly. They also have fair pricing as well. In addition, I love their old school stock as well, it cant be beat by any other gaming outlets in the DM area, IMHO. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to purchase a game, system, etc.

I dont know what Brians on, but this Gamers is my favorite place to buy video games. The staff is down to earth and if you arent stupid, theyre friendly and easy to talk to. Everyones a nerd at Gamers. I wouldnt go as far to say it was like a "family" but Ive never been made fun of and they always have the best games.

The store is clean and the environment is friendly and fun! The employees were extremely helpful and it is clear to me that making customers shopping experiences enjoyable is high priority for them! I would highly recommend this sore to anyone looking for a nice place to purchase games and gaming paraphernalia.

I got my son a 3Ds from here and the darn thing didnt work when a game was in it. And I also bought a game for my xbox 360 and the game comes up as unrecognized I will never never come back to gamers. Twice Ive gotten faulty products from them.

I called the store to check if they had a game in stock. The young lady was prompt, professional and courteous to tell me that they did for a reasonable price! I will agree when I have been in the store the staff of guys can be inattentive.

Good customer service but sometimes they sell faulty product and when you return the product they sold you they still deduct a dollar a day I recommend West Des Moines gamers
