This used to be a good store with decent service, not anymore unfortunately, I believe after certain sales threshold their rudeness kicked in as usual. Anyway, today was my last trip before I said goodbye to their rudeness, I just told this guy at register that the last coconut I purchased from him was rotten, and he rudely goes, "Sir, ab mei iske andar to nahi tha", (Sir, now, I wasnt really inside it), (seriously? somebody needs to educate him that he is a vendor in a regulated/civilized area), I told him by that logic you are not liable for anything you sell, since you arent inside any item/packaging you sell here.Honestly, I wasnt expecting a refund or anything given it was just a matter of couple of bucks,I just wanted to inform him, since I have to drive almost 30 mins one way, finding anything bad at home is a big disappointment. Save yourself from disappointment, plan ahead and drive to Patel Brothers on north side for best prices, service, and items, going forward that is exactly what I am going to do.

Well-lit and well-stocked, this Indian grocery store is worth a visit if you cook Indian food yourself, want to purchase Indian snacks (many homemade), or enjoy a cheap, delicious lunch. I have had two very pleasant lunch experiences at Indian Bazaar this week after discovering that they have a small, all vegetarian mostly Punjabi style cafe in the back. There is a written menu but they do not have all of the items everyday, so just ask the staff what theyre serving. Kind of like Yats only you need to ask. Also, if you have dietary restrictions, the staff is very attentive to what you can and cannot have. If you are vegan, just let them know that you cant have dairy and theyll take care of you. The owners are friendly, helpful, and extremely hospitable. Note, if you are used to going to an Indian buffet or a standard Indian restaurant, the portions are very different here. Expect to have a lot more bread (naan, roti, puri, chapati, or others) and a lot less of your entree.

I went to buy a basic item there recently and no one offered to help me. I looked around the store myself, then went up to the clerks at the front of the store. The workers said nothing and wouldnt look my way. My wife also had a similar experience there a month ago, they were rude and provided no customer service. I guess youre not welcome at this location unless you are of the same race.

Quick stop for Indian groceries. Right after Exit 99 on 65 South. Great collection of Indian spices, fresh vegetables, Sweets and many more things. one stop destination for all your Indian groceries. Dont forget to try "GARMA GARAM SNACK" on your visit to Indian Bazar. "Makke Ki Roti & Sarso Da Saag" ( May be I spelled wrong) my favourite menu item over there. Highly recommended.

I read the ratings from Indiana Jones post and I am white and American and I have never experienced any rudeness or ignoring from the people at Indian bazaar they are always helpful they asked me if I need to find something they are very polite. The food that they cook there is amazing I love their samosas and I love shopping there . Danyavad!

This is a wonderful place with a wide range of indian products and grocery. Its far from downtown but it is completely worth the trip. The best part is the hidden restaurant in the back which serves all indian delicacies in a home made like informal form. Will keep revisiting this place ! !

This is the best place for all your indian grocery needs..I read some reviews but we never receive any rudeness.all employees at the store are very polite helpful ..I saw them growing day by day because of their customer service and good food sweets.specialy fresh samosas

This grocery store has all flavors of Indian grocery.if you live in South side of Indianapolis this so nearest and reasonable Indian grocery store. Their kitchen has some good Indian food. Try Veg Thali or Chhole Bhatoore for Indian food.

Very organized, good variety of food with decent price tag. Owner is helpful. Fresh sweets and snacks are available. You can even order Indian food and have it in their small sitting area. Overall its a good place to buy grocery.

Compared to the two patel brothers stores, this one is way smaller, super crowded with narrow aisles, and a much smaller range of merchandise. A lot of their products seemed higher priced than their patel prices.
