Have gone to this new store ever since it opened, and Im not very happy with the bakery department !! The last 4 weeks there has not been any, ( or) very few dozen packs of Meijer fresh baked cookies. We shop at between 10:30 and 12:00 noon on Saturday morning, You WOULD think that during the busiest shopping times that they would have TONS of cookies. Today I ask the gal in the bakery WHY no cookies, and told her this was a ongoing thing for the last 4 weeks, and she told me that 4 people didnt show up for work today.I found the Manager and told him of the ongoing problem, and he assured me that it wouldnt happen again. He call back to the bakery Department and then he told me that they were putting more cookies in the oven and that they would be ready in 30 minutes. Well we hung around shopping for at lest 40 minutes, and then went back to the bakery, And guess what !!! you guess it , no new cookies and less of the other ones too. SO I GUESS I WOULD HAVE TO RATE THEM AS A MINIS 10..... How do you gain on Wal-mart with service like that..

Love this store. Have on occasion shopped at Kroger, Target and Walmart. I find it an inconvenience to have to use a card if you want better prices. Walmart is my second choice. The produce at Meijer is superior to the other stores. The prices are lower for the things I buy. The service has always been good. The only time I have found the shelves not fully stocked and neat is in the wee hours of the morning on Thursdays. But they were in the process of restocking at the time. The only reason I didnt give a 5 was because a few times there were not enough lines open. However, again this was late at night. I only live 5 minutes from the Avon store. I have shopped here since it opened. The store is always clean.

Horrible! Your employees are lazy people. All over a simple broom that did not ring properly. Your attendant was rude like I had the audacity to question being over charged. Too lazy to meet me or have another attendant meet me in the area of the improperly marked broom. A simple fix that turned into am ordeal because you cant do the job you were paid for. Then refuse to get me a manager to resolve the situation. Ill never be back. At least Wal-Mart fixes there mistakes and listens to customers concerns about being over charged.

UPDATE: This Meijer location doesnt have a very good produce. I really like Meijer, and the produce is great, but prices can be a bit too high and can get expensive sometimes, and better produce than Walmarts. But in Avon, Meijer produce like apples or pears were not too good and tasty. Walmart is a little bit like the same. We went there for apples, and they didnt have any red delicious. Maybe go to Kroger on the other side of town. I wish we had a Marsh in Avon, which has a great produce, but expensive.

Their store is very clean and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5 is that the aisles are labeled half hazardly. For example, one might say they have canned fruit but its further down on the other side. Once you know your way around, its not bad. They have a very great selection of local and international products and they even sell sushi in their Deli area. And I absolutely love sushi and I can tell you that its not that bad.

I have never been so humiliated in my life. Unbeknownst to me i had been passed a counterfeit bill in a transactionat cvs. It was approximately 1034pm and i didnt know why the register wouldnt accept my money. Long story short the night manager Scott Martin made me leave the store and would not let me pay for my merchandise withban alternate payment. He was berating..harrasding and totally unprofessional.

Service was terrible, it was just a northern version of Walmart. If you like average pricing and poor service then go here. Being from south I here northerners brag about them so I thought I would give it a try, but man what a let down. I thought I had lost a ring and the customer service was just concerned about selling me a credit card to buy a replacement.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! I have never once gone in to this store that it doesnt take 30+ minutes standing in line to check out. If you need just a couple items, avoid this place like the plague. 4 checkouts open on a Sunday afternoon when they have how many lanes, with lines the whole way back into the aisles?? Ridiculous!

Right now they are under construction so its a little messy, but still totally worth it to go. I see the same faces in the staff and they always seem happy. They are also very helpful if you cant find something or have questions. I love the fresh meat counter. They always have a great selection. I am a frequent buyer and always will be!

Ive never had a bad experience here. Ive been a long time Meijer shopper also. They are getting renovations at this time, but carrying on as always. It used to bother me when they had "secret shoppers" follow you around the store but theyve seem to do away with that idea. Will continue to use this store as my main grocery store!

Wide open, friendly, helpful staff, even on 3rd shift. They have everything, so occasionally the thrifty minded will have to dig for their bargains, but they are there. Clean, bright atmosphere. Their selection is vast, with many food items I was unaware of before my visit. Im going to shop their again.

I would like to give kuddos to Shay the girl that helped me out in the Deli section as I had to order many sandwich platters and lots of chicken for my daughters surprise party. She was very friendly and helpful. A smile goes a long way and she does have a great smile .

They can spend all the money on a face lift they want, they still never have a soul checking people out. Get ready for all of your cold food to be warm and warm food to be cold before you even get out the door. Get some more damn people to staff the 30 lanes you have!

Really good place to shop for just about anything you need. Especially if its bakery foods. The service is top notch. Thanks to the ladys working, Nancy Wallace and Candy Reddy...the two best bakers I know. Thanks ladys.

I think its hard to say target is the gold standard for an upscale department store after visiting the US 36 and Raceway Rd Meijer. What a nice establishment and "self- checkout" light years ahead of Walmart. Kudos.

Fantastic bakery section! They did a gender reveal cake for me and it turned out perfect! Great price and they were very helpful in making the whole process non-stressful. Ask for Candy, shes amazing!

This is a good Meijer there isnt anything wrong with it but it is difficult to get to and also the layout inside is bizarre. I wouldnt want this to deter anyone however. Just a simple observation.
