Great selection and normally great service. However today I stopped in at the Wheeling location for a couple last minute purchases and met what has to be your rudest employee... Tom. I was walking down an isle an isle as Tom came walking backwards towards me along with another employee. Since Tom couldnt see me and the other employee clearly had no intentions of yielding any room in the aisle I turned my basket and placed it in front of me to make myself narrow and moved to as far to one side as possible. Tom then turns around and gives me a rather harsh shove to the side by striking me with his elbow. Then as I wait in line to check out Tom comes over and opens the second register and instead of assisting me being next in line he tells me the next cashier is finishing up and proceeds to help the person behind me. Then I politely ask him for his name and he simply ignores me. I understand its Christmas and all but being rude to what was a regular customer probably wont encourage me to shop there next time.

Liquor Barn Wheeling is the brand new store located right next to Fresh Farms Market on Dundee and Milwaukee, which makes for a convenient one stop shopping. Great selection of spirits, wines and beers (especially craft beers). Prices are extremely competitive, with multiple deals on both major brands and obscure connoisseur type items. Since the area around the store is heavily populated by Eastern Europeans, the merchandise selection addresses the needs of those particular demographics. The staff seems to be knowledgeable and multilingual, including Russian, Polish, Bulgarian and Spanish speakers. Parking lot gets crowded at times, but, overall, I had positive experience shopping there.

Pricing is cheaper than average, service is OK, selection is good. Unfortunately they have decided to post a "no guns" sign even though it is not required they post per statute. I will not be giving my patronage nor would I suggest anyone who values their right to defend themselves give their patronage to an establishment which would deny you the right to defend yourself and your loved ones.

Good selection of beers and other drinks. Service is less than OK. Apparently if "John the beer guy" is not around no one knows where any of the beers are or if they have it.
