Went to Circle K to buy 4 24 oz. Cans of beer and a fifth of liquor. I ran into one of my cousins in the parking lot before walking in to the store. We held a conversation with each other (of course, since were relatives) from the parking lot, and into the store. I grabbed what I was there for and got in line. The lady behind the counter demanded to see both my ID and my 57-year old cousins because we were "in the store talking for a long time". I asked her if she was serious and she said "yes its the law". In my shocked and amazed stance, I pulled out my ID and stated to her that "it is not the law". As she continued to say it was, I continued to state that it was not and that it was merely a store policy. As im taking my credit card out she refused to ring up my items and serve me because I didnt agree that "it was the law". Not once did I refuse to comply, not once did I refuse to pay. She simply refused my service because I didnt agree with her. She said that she was the manager. If that is true, she will cause this company to lose a lot of money. I have every right to disagree with any employee who is wrong. I will never buy even a stick of gum from that place.

Went in to buy cigarettes...they asked for ID and I happily showed them one (albeit that Im 53 years old), not good enough, they wanted my wifes ID as well, really? Need less to say they just lost a $60 sale and any future business...funny thing is Ive been a customer for 15 years and never been asked for both ids before...there is no state law requiring ids from all people present.
