I am completely biased so take my words with a grain of salt. Honestly, the folks that run air play are the cream of the crop for small shop businesses. The owner, his kids, the manager, and the associates are incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. My wife was given a job there in late summer and is treated like family; truly something you do not see very often anymore. Now, onto the coffee. I am the opposite of a coffee snob, but more of a caffeine addict and this place gives you a huge number of ways to get your fix and since its all customization (within the bounds of both reason, sanity, and the patience of the staff) you are going to be happy. Also, I am kinda irritated at the guy that had a good time and gave it three stars #donotlikeyou.

(Go to the coffee shop BEANS right next door!) This was the only coffee shop that showed up in my Google search for "coffee near me" when we stopped in Sterling on our way to Chicago. I wanted a pick me up treat for the road and got an unflavored latte for me and the double chocolate brownie for my husband. We got to the car and both were super disappointed in our items. The coffee was super not good. :( Then I was bummed too because I saw there was another coffee shop right next door and it had way better reviews when I looked it up by name.

Dropped in honestly for the quiet cafe experience in the downtown area of Sterling. and got quick customer service and some laughs with employees. NOT exactly a familiar chain Starbucks type, but sufficient with all kinds of cafes, mochas, cappuccino, teas; etc. Free wifi when you ask for password and at least a purchase.

One of my favorite places in Sterling/Rock Falls. Hospitable, full of friendly people customers and hosts. One of those quiet places, sometimes, where you can go with your iPad or laptop and search the world. The micro- bakery also produces one of the finest breads around, "Mildreds Sweet Swedish Rye".

I love coming in here. Real coffee in Sterling. Fresh goodies and friendly atmosphere. There is something interesting and new most days and the staff seems to try new things for the customers. Family owned and you can tell they care about their customers.

I am not a local, I dropped in one day for a toy and the staff was very inviting and knowledgeable. Large disc selection for such a small town. Large kite selection too and it smelled great, coffee and tasty things.

Elegant barista work is done here by a young man known around the coffee shop as, "Nolds" his signature drink, "The Nick" is one worth the money.
