This review is a long time in coming. In February 2013, I was in Minneapolis on business and my rental car was a 2013 Escape. I liked the looks and the cool technology so, when I got home. I checked out the dealership where I bought my 2006 Escape Hybrid, at an Auto Mall on the west side of Aurora. They were going to give me $3500 on my trade and not take anything off the purchase price of the Escape I was looking to buy. (I was surprised by this because it was the end of the month!) Then, I decided to try River View Ford. I was so happy. They took $3000 off the vehicle (internet price) and $8000 on my trade!! They were friendly and made me feel very welcome. I also bought the extended warranty and Tire Warranty, because I saved so much on the cost of the vehicle. So, its now almost 18 months later, and Ive been in for regular maintenance, a couple recalls, and some warranty work for some problems. The Service Department has been really helpful, friendly, and maintained regular contact during the recall and warranty work. I would recommend and actually do recommend River View Ford to everyone! I was talking to a cashier at Home Depot, who said she was going to buy a truck the following day. I told her to check out River View before buying the truck (at another dealership). People at gas stations often ask about my Escape and I tell them NOT to go to the Auto Mall dealership but River View Ford. I told someone at church, today, who was asking about where I went, because he is looking to replace his Jeep. (I told him last year about the great deal!) So, if youre still wondering, PLEASE GO TO RIVER VIEW FORD!!

I am not naive about how a business works. They are to make money, but the practices they use to do so are what make them bad or great. I used to think the team at Riverview Ford Oswego, IL was great. That was until three years ago they sold me a car that was used, that I firmly believe but cant prove, had a defect they knew about and sold it to me before fixing. Again can not prove it but because the noise I heard two days after I bought it was the same noise they said was bring down the cost of my trade in, well i can add, 1+1=?. So yesterday I went into the dealership in hopes of trading in my car I bought three years ago for a newer model with better gas mileage. I, like most, did my fair share of reasch before walking in. I had a number in my head and was going to stay firm. Pat, who sold me the car three years ealier, first he didnt even remember me, wasnt all in with me as a customer. He seemed disconnected and unexcitted to work with me. Our conversation was limited and short, he didnt ask more than 5 questions about what I was looking for and less about the type of loan I was interested in. In the Past I would have meat with at lest two or three saleS people to try to close the deal, this time it was only Pat. DO NOT SHOP HERE. UNTRUST WORTHLY, SNEAKY SALES TECHNIQUES, AND NO LOYALT TO REPEAT CUSTOMERS. VERY UNHAPPY TWO CUSTOMER, AND WILL NO LONGER SHOP HERE.

River View has been struggling it appears. Since they have opened up their Quick Lane service wing, my experience has been much worse than before. Ryan always took great care of me and my truck, but I havent seen him there the last 2 trips, and unfortunately I have had bad experiences. I hate to blame the dealership because I work with people every day and the quality of help you hire today is horrific. People dont realize just how incompetent these young kids that are being hired to do this work really are. The veteran employees at River View are exemplary, and shouldnt have to suffer at the hands of these kids that know NOTHING, but they are going to suffer. This lackadaisical attitude that the kids of today have is very sad, but it is very real and you have to consider that. You could say that River View is just as responsible because they should train and manage them, but I guarantee you that it simply isnt possible to supervise every move the employees make, and unfortunately that is what has to be done with these kids these days. Beware of any of these youngsters that are going to be working on your car or truck, they do not know what they are doing for the most part, and whats worse is that the do not seem to care at all.

I came to River View Ford with a lot of hope, but a ton of anxiety. My previous vehicle was an 11 year old Dodge, and I was afraid that I wouldnt receive much for the trade in. Of course, this would affect the amount I could spend on a newer vehicle. I met with Jack Daniels, sales manager, and shared my concerns with him, and explained that I needed a newer vehicle, because I transport my two children everywhere and I need them to be safe. Jack went above and beyond when he searched for a vehicle for my family. He found a vehicle for me that was in my price range and in great condition. When it came time to finance the vehicle, I was able to meet the owner, John Hennessy. Again, John went out of his way to make sure I received the best deal. I was able to drive my new car home that night, feeling great knowing that my family would be safe during our daily road trips. Beyond the outstanding service at River View Ford, I would like to commend Jack and John for being two of the nicest, most sincere people I have ever met. Its not often that you go to a dealership and meet honest, family-oriented people. I would absolutely recommend River View Ford and will ONLY buy future vehicles from them!!

Recently my wife and I were looking to purchase a vehicle and trade in our current one. We went to several dealerships and were appalled at how we were treated and talked to by people who relied on a sale from us for commission. We decided to try Riverview in Oswego after one extremely disappointing run in with a sleazy salesmen at a local dealership. From the moment we walked in we could tell this was a completely different experience. This dealership was much more friendly and much less aggressive than any other ones that we have been to. The man who assisted us was named Corey Hoffman and he was amazing. He listened to everything we were looking for and did not try to upsell us. He took his time with us making sure to answer all of our questions and to make sure he made us happy. He along with the rest of the staff made this a pleasurable experience and we ended up getting exactly what we wanted for exactly what we wanted to spend. I would definitely recommend this location to all of my friends and family and to anyone else who is looking for a vehicle who does not want to deal with rude overly aggressive sales people.
