I shop here often, prices are up and down,no guarentee...some good deals, other times very overpriced! But the worst part is that the lady managers-most workers are EXTREMELY rude. I look light complected and my mom who I shop with is polish so nobody usually knows that i speak-understand fluent spanish. The women workers are always talking disrespectful in spanish and never want to help out,if you ask them something, MAJOR attitude...i wanted a part time job for the summer until I start my final classes at the end of august, and saw they were hiring,so the district manager was working up front and he gave me an application to fill out on a Friday when I was shopping. This was the day before their "hiring event" was to take place...he told me they really need people and they would get me started right away. About 2 weeks passed by and no call, I went shopping there during the week after he took my application and I saw two new younger blonde girls working, they said they were hired at the career fair!! Hmmm ok cool whatever, so another week went by and then I did receive a call on Wednesday from Demetrius, the district manager who took my application. He told me I got the job and congrats! Soooo let me guess, the other "first pick"girls did not work out!? Were they unable to handle the rude, disrespectful and stuck up managers who know very little/ poor English??? Anyway, he then asked me if I wanted to start the next day and drive to Chicago for orientation,or if I wanted to start the following Thursday. I told him the following Thursday would work better. He said ok, and told me i would hear from the store manager in one or two days and fill me in on the details. Well, what a surprise, yet another week passes and NO CALL!!!! Lol ok so I got the job, but they are playing games? No thank you!!! EXTREMELY unprofessional of the district manager!!! No manners or business skills whatsoever! Its ok though with my classes and volunteer work I dont have time, nor do I want to work-deal with such unprofessional people!!! Yeah you pay $10.65, but you couldnt pay me $1,000 an hour to deal with such rude "management" I guess anyone can work here,no manners, people skills or smarts needed! A sign from God that I deserve better! :) good luck with the new hires though!

The entire staff of the Salvation Army Resale Store in Montgomery is extremely rude. Every time that I go there, I am treated with not only rudeness, but outright hostility from the employees. Today, May 11th, 2015, was the worst shopping experience that I have had, ever. The entire staff , from the manager down, needs to be completely retrained in customer service. It is NOT acceptable, for employees to exhibit such an extreme level of rudeness, and incivility to the customers. As a customer, I want to exchange my money for the items for sale. Do not be rude, and curse at me, I just want to pay for my items, and be on my way as quickly as possible. If there is drama at the place of business, please keep it to yourselves. Do not take out your bad day on the customers, that is fatal to the business, as poorly treated customers do not come back.

The staff is a bunch of jerk girls and barely speak english. Probably constantly being asked the same stupid questions by jerk customers and being overworked and underpaid, so that explains why the staff is rude. Luckily I know Spanish. But even then, the manager is a big time rude too. She has one of those resting b faced and follows through with her attitude. Prices vary wildly. I found some vintage advent speakers for 8 dollars, yet a reciver was 90 dollars. They sometimes base their prices by ebay dreamer prices. If I wanted those prices I would just shop on ebay. Hey assholes, refine your search on eBay by sold/completed prices, and then cut that price in half and you will have good "thrift" store prices.

I shop at this store once in a while because I love treasure hunting. Customer service is non-existent, did you expect the cashier to fake a smile & to acknowledge customers in any way? Dont get your hopes high because this is not Macys, not even Walmart... So dont expect a shopping experience here, its just a donation store... What I expect is staff there actually spoke English. Last time I checked this is still USA so when I walk into a public building we should be communicating in English if I cant speak Spanish. We can do fingerpointing but cmon can we speak English which is still the official language of this country...

There over pricing donated used merchandise. Especially the furniture and some of the jewelry. The manager needs to acknowledge her regular customers. No one smiles nor do they say welcome and thank you for supporting the salvation army Ive found some great things. But i will not return for awhile. They really need to clean up store. And welcome those of us that are supporting the store.for a good cause.and lower the price.after so long they should when you see the same item over weeks time at ssme price give the community a bresk. # them prices way to hi they need to cut it.

It would be alot better if they had better management and staff, go around 2 p.m and expect to be in line for 15 to 30 minutes without fail, there will be a huge line but they will only have one person on the register, no one cares and its worse when they dont even have manners, yes most of them dont speak english but they are just as rude in spanish. Also things that dont sell, they break infront of customers, Ive seen them get on a ladder and start dropping plates and mugs on a box for them to break, it was awkward specially knowing people donated those things.

This place is OK. I have found a lot of my money wasted here..but I also have found some things I made money on. It is one of the dirtier stores for sure. I think the management has issues..but theres some really nice Latina women that try really hard to keep up. They do speak English.. Im curious as to where exactly the money goes tho.. I dont see any programs or help from salvation army ..I had kids turned down for Christmas gift giving from this corporation. Even tho they had websites stating they were helping local area.. Kids when they indeed were not!

This place sucks!! I worked here for almost 2 months, and was terminated because I spoke up. The manager mis treats the employees and they dont speak up because most of them are single moms, with only that income. Its sad what I experienced there and after I seen all that crap I decided not to go shopping there anymore. I thought Army Salvation was suppose to help people, this jist upsets me as a human. I even called corporate to tell them how the manger was treating everyone and decided not to do anything about it, instead fire everyone who spoke up.

The Staff may not speak English, but that was quite alright didnt really have a problem picking things out. The place could use a cleaning but overall, Id say for being the only place nearby for families like mine, who are in need of assistance for an affordable way to clothe their children or myself at a couple dollars for a shirt shoes and bottoms, verses goodwill where $5.00 maybe $10.00 for a shirt. It really helps out with making the bucks go farther. Nowadays, everyone needs that. Thank you Salvation Army.
