Please read this! GO to Walmart or Sams instead. You will pay far less and have a 1 year FULL warranty!!!! In the effort to "save money", Carol agreed to cut down the lenses of my old glasses (frame arm was broken) and fit them into a new frame. SHE DID NOT EXPLAIN THE RISKS OF DOING THIS -- THE POSSIBILITY-PROBABILITY- that the new "cut" would not align with my proper vision. I went through with it and sure enough, it was HORRIBLE-- fishbowl vision. In speaking with her to try to resolve this and re-do my glasses, she LAUGHED at me and denied that it was her responsibility to explain the risk- that "OF COURSE" it would not perfectly align with my vision. I was SHOCKED by her behavior and response. And to top it off, she would not give me a refund because "ALL SALES FINAL" BUT if they LIE to you or WITHHOLD pertinent information, IT SHOULD ALL BE VOID! They are WAY overpriced and they LIE!!!

I went there for a new pair of glasses + contact lens. Here is the catch- The contact lens fitting fees is 40-45 $ if you buy glasses + contacts else its $60. The bill they give has just a number and the breakups are not clearly mentioned anywhere. When you go there,,,make sure to get a breakup bill in case you happen to cancel the order like me. I called them on a Sunday to cancel my order and the old lady said- she was closing the store when they are open from 10am - 1pm. They Suck big time... They talk about state laws which they only know :). Who in the world is asking or getting arrested for wearing glasses with older prescriptions. What a lame way to make money...Global Opticals at 1173 barrington rd, HE, IL--GO TO HELL..Going there was a BIG mistake. Thanks

The eye exam was great, he explained everything he was doing very thoroughly, and was knowledgeable. When I came out of the eye exam the optician had already selected 20 frames for me to try on based on things I had mentioned before the exam. I tried on a bunch of frames and she was very patient and helpful while I made my decision. I would recommend anyone to come here and support a local business that is doing things right. Great service. In response to the comments below, Im not exactly sure who Carol is, but if she was the mother she nothing but pleasant to me, and got me in the same day i called to make an appointment. I had a great experience here and will refer my family to come here.

Theres honestly not many shops around the area that provide a great, welcoming experience. Went to pick out glasses for the very first time, wasnt rushed, Ms. Carol and her colleagues took their time and were patient with me to make sure I selected the perfect glasses. I can definitely say I had a great experience.. she also gave me a free trial of contact lenses and case and I didnt even ask! Seriously what more can you ask for? If youre not shopping here for glasses, contact lenses, or even doing your eye check up here, then I feel bad for your eyes. Thank you guys! For a great experience and hospitality!

Im not sure where to even start. I came in to the store one day to see what kinds og glassses they had A women then came up to me and asked me what i was looking for I told her I needed a pair of glasses that would be affordable yet have the look simlar to raybans. this women then looked at me and pushed me into buying something she clearly knew i couldt afford! I then asked her if she could accmidate me by offering a special or a better price and she then told me to come back to the store once I had enough money to afford the glasses. Never in my life have I been insulted like that.

I would never recommend you to go there. I have seen Carol as the worst customer service representative. I had to cancel my appointment and called her to get the appointment canceled. Next time when I tried to make an appointment, she was very rude and discourteous. Before asking my name, she was ready to give me my prefered dates but when she was asked me my last name, she became very rude and unfriendly. I am surprised how people in USA can have such BAD service.

Carol is awesome. She always remembers her customers and takes great care of them no matter how busy she is. She accepts our insurance and works hard to save her clients money whenever she can. I will gladly go out of my way to do business with her. Plus she will even have her husband deliver your glasses or contacts to work to save you the trip back. She gives top quality service and is always friendly... I cannot thank her enough!

I lost my glasses while I was out of town tried to call here to get my prescription so I could find contacts localy. She refused saying that she couldnt do it because it was an old prescription and its was agaisnt the law....so I was forced to spend money on an new exam to get contacts wich didnt even get there in time. I think she did it so I wouldnt go to a competitor.....so thanks for letting me be blind on my vacation!!!!!

I have gone back to see Carol for over 4 years now since the first day I stopped in out of convenience. Since day one she has remembered me and bent over backwards to accomodate me. Since then I have moved to the city and still drive out to see her once or twice a year for my yearly exam and to replace contacts/glasses, which she is always able to maximize based on your needs. I highly recommend seeing her.

I was referred to Global Optical by a co-worker 5 years ago. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy. They have competitive prices and have glasses for people on all types of budgets. Carol is very friendly and honest. Since than, I have referred Global to other co-workers where they have had similar experiences. Keep up the good work.

Customer service is impeccable. Ive been going to Carol for the longest time and she is always very accommodating. She takes time helping you pick out frames, cleaning your glasses, and readjusting them. One time I was in desperate need of contacts and she brought them to my house for me as I was headed out the door for vacation.

Love this place. Carol is so nice and accommodating. Sometimes you have to wait but that is because she is very popular and she spends enough time with each person. She even went to my in-laws nursing home to fit them for glasses since we couldnt bring them out. I highly recommend this place if you want individualized service.

Great Experience! Not only was the exam thoroughly explained, they took my insurance and made the process simple and easy. Received my new glasses in record time and everyone I worked with was super nice! I would recommend to anyone - and will absolutely be going back next year for my annual!

This is the place you need to go! From the moment I walked in, I felt very taken care of. I work in sales, and I recognize and truly value great service. The entire staff went above and beyond to find frames that actually fit my face properly. I highly reccomend this location!
