Im not sure why Eric and John had such a bad experience at this particular store but i can tell you i have never had any issue other than being extremely satisfied with this company as a whole , Every franchise i have ever been to from one cost to the other has always been polite and never tried to sell me something i did not need , mater of fact every one of them has done work for free on my trucks and cars, i send absolutely everyone i know to these guys whenever the conversation of tires arises , free air check , free tire repair , free balance , free rotation...etc. what more could you ever ask for , I actually dont know how they stay in business as there tire prices are below Sams Club and most others, and Sams dosent do anything for free! Anyway this is by no means a rebuttal review, I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in after reading a few of there other reviews and let people know my experience with this company! There could always be a bad apple wherever you may go but in 30 years have yet to find one at this company , Keep up the GREAT work guys, Michael

Made a 12:30pm Appt on 10/9 for today 10/13 and arrived at 12:20, nobody in line but there were two associates each helping a customer. I waited until 12:35 when I was finally assisted, longest Ive ever waited at a discount tire for assistance. Finally everything was set up and when 1pm came around I noticed my car was still where I parked it, I had to be back in Bartlett at 1:30 to pick my son up from school, something I declared upon checking in. I was upset at the service or lack thereof on this visit and asked for my key so I could leave. I was asked why and when I told the associate he replied, "schedule another Appt so we can get you taken care of next time." Is this guy for real? Did he not hear a thing I said? Why allow me to schedule an Appt for 12:30 when you cant honor it? FYI, Ive been a Discount Tire / America Tire customer since 1996 when I worked at a location in California during high school. Shame on you Elgin location off Randall & Bode, never again!

These guys took care of me very well. I went during Black Friday bought continental tires since they had amazing rebates going on for them. I had to special order them since the dont sell them in stores as much. When the tires went on back order they allowed me to replace those tires and still keep my rebates. I was allowed to order a different brand so I picked the Pirelli P7 plus which was my number one choice but at the time no rebates for them. There was a hiccup when I picked up my car at closing time I noticed they put on the wrong Pirelli tires but they let me drive off with them and fixed it first thing in the morning. Good service, they really do go above and beyond to help, especially the manager Mike. Thank you discount tire!

We took my vehicle to a HYUNDAI DEALER check ONE tire that was flat. When we went we had stated that if it could be repaired to repair it (they stated there was a cost for this), if not to gives us a quote for a new tire. It took a half hour to state that the tire was unrepairable and that it was going to cost about $200 for the “one” tire. We decided to take the vehicle somewhere else. We went to Discount Tires and dropped off the vehicle. Within 15 min they gave us a call stating “your car is done”. We were a bit confused since we did not pay for the service and they told us that the tire WAS repairable and that there was no cost. Elgin Hyundai Dealer LOST a customer for life and Discount Tire WON and customer for life.

We bring our company vehicles here for tires and have always received great service. Today, we took in a van that had a leak in the tire as well as a TPMS light on. The dealer had recently changed the oil and told us that fixing the TPMS light would cost roughly $300 for new sensors. Chris from Discount Tire had the staff fix the leak for free and discovered that the TPMS sensors werent bad and simply reset the computer. You cant beat a free tire rotation, a free flat repair, and also the prevention of an unneeded $300 charge.

My wife called to check on the status of our car. Karl told my wife the car was "In the shop." We got separated at Menards so I walked over to see if she was here. Decided to sit down. Heard the whole conversation not knowing it was my wife he was speaking to. She called me back to tell me and see where i was at. Problem is, our car was still in the parking lot. Had not been serviced yet. Karl would not own up to his lie when confronted. Taking my car to ntb.

These guys are unrivaled! I was looking for a pretty unique over sized mud tire that nobody really carries. They matched the price I found online and got me out the door at $699.60. Firestone in St. Charles claimed they were as "low as they could go" at $897.00 out the door. Not to mention their customer service is fast, accurate, and just plain fantastic! I have always used discount tires for all my cars and my kids. I inherited my fathers pick up and it had a vibration. I asked they to balance the one tire I thought it was and they did all four and repaired a bad lug nut. These tires never came from here and this truck had never been serviced here but they didnt charge me and it runs great! Thanks for great service to a loyal customer

My husband bought 4 high quality brand new tires a week ago he goes to leave really early this morning for a 7hr road trip to family and ALL four tires this morning are 10psi so now he has to wait until they open at 8am and totally ruined his plans to be with family. Last time we will ever buy tires there again!!!! How can all 4 tires me bad? Dont trust this place for a second!!!!!

If there was a 10 star I would rate that. I always take my car to dealer for ALL repairs just because thats my preference. On my last visit the dealer showed and told me about the screw in one of my tires and that it can NOT be repaired. So I took it here for a second look and DT told me no, it can be fixed. DT saved me time and $200. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic customer service. All employees are pleasant and helpful. The shop and waiting areas are clean. They helped me work through a problem with two bent rims, from a pothole. Eventually I went to a dealer and bought the rims and they had been so helpful I had Discount install the tires. They treat you like a customer should be treated.

LONG wait and damaged fender. Waited for over an hour to get two new tires put on to get home and find my driver side fender pushed out almost an inch. VERY ANGRY! Spent the last 2 hours fixing it so it looks "better" because someone dosent know how to use a jack properly. NOT recommending to anyone!
