I ordered smokes on July 8, 2016. Knowing that the company is usually slow to process orders, I paid extra for 3-5 day shipping in stead of the longer free shipping. Days passed, and the order status still showed "new" (as opposed to shipped). I began trying to contact the company, through both regular email, email through PayPal, and via their website chat. All of my efforts to get a response from Tobacco General were ignored. After over a week had passed, still with no reply at all, I purchased smokes elsewhere, since I was out, and sent an email requesting that they cancel my order and refund my payment. 10 days later, they decide to send me an email saying that my order has shipped, and that I could only send back my order at a financial loss. I checked my orders status, and it still indicated "new" for a half hour after I received their email. After ignoring me for as long as they did, they decided to finally ship out my no-longer-needed order to avoid refunding my payment. They operated in bad-faith, deceptively, and charging me for shipping-speed which I have not receive, not to mention the order itself. Although I was a customer for the past 3 or 4 years, tolerating their slow order processing, I will no longer use this unreliable, untrustworthy company.

i was sent 2 bags of moldy tobacco (smokers pride) when i called them they act like jerks on the phone and told me to call the manufacture i did after i did a lot of research i found the phone # listed was not working and the company moved out of the country to avoid paying taxes and the tobacco is imported from china and bagged in the US and they call it a product of the USA. general tobacco is a rip off company that will not honor its warranties, i even filed a BBB complaint against them and they refused to respond to that complaint this is where i learned the bbb has them listed as F as a business rating the lowest possible and google list them as 4 star with the mostly 1 star reviews kinda makes me wonder how they came to the 4 stars

Good prices and products but absolutely terrible shipping delays and dont even think about complaining! I placed an order in mid-June and paid for 3-5 day shipping. After a week of no shipment I emailed them. "Zoe" responded that they were backed up because of the holiday. I pointed out that Memorial Day was a 1 day holiday more than 3 weeks ago could she transfer me to her manager? She refunded my money, closed my account and said I was no longer a customer. Oh, and she said she was the mgmt which I find hard to believe. Went to Windy City Cigars. Placed the same order at noon and got a "It has shipped email with a tracking number at 2pm. 2 hours! I know where I am shopping!

Actually, Id give them 4.5 stars. Ive been ordering cigars from TobaccoGeneral for several (at least three) years now. The price is great and theyve never failed to deliver an order. Ive never had a problem with a damaged order. Ive only had one problem with ordering and was able to get it resolved by calling -- though I did have to call twice and had a small bit of trouble talking to the customer service rep (who Ill guess was an ESL student). My only comment is that their order status isnt kept up-to-date and I never get a shipping notice until the day the package arrives. (Im in St. Louis, not that far from Chicago.) But neither of those things is a big deal for me.

They sent me tobacco rolling tubes that were defective.They refuse to do anything about it.said I would have to go thru the the company that made them but tobacco general kept my money and doesnt have the information to get in touch with the company that made them.I will no longer do business with them since they ripped me off.I guess they dont care about my doing business with them at about $70 to $90 a month.They are a typical rip off internet sales company.If you buy anything from them be prepared to be cheated

Ive made many purchases from tobacco general, their products and prices are unbeatable, however most of the time even if you pay extra for faster delivery it still takes them over a week to ship it out, I try and time my orders so that I order what I need a week in advance but quite often find myself having to go to the smoke shop. My previous order took 6 days to process, this time its been almost 2 weeks with no news, which has happened before. Very irritating!

I am so glad I found Tobacco General. Ive been using them for more than a year with no problems at all. They consistently provides customers with great products and great service at lowest prices possible. A lot of my friends are buying from tobacco general and all of them really satisfied, so not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. I highly recommend this company!

Just hope you will not have to contact them via phone, you wont get any where and put on hold, then you are next in line, then please leave your name and number. Just a sorry set up. This even applies to placing order by phone and I gave up placing ANY order with them. Just imagine if there is a problem with goods or the transaction. Totally disappointed

Have used them a few times, but between the time they take to ship out order and the fact I cant track my package as ups said they did not provide enough info I can see the package has been in IL. For five days but I get no expected delivery date I doubt I will use them again. Due to leave town and looks like I wont have my order before I go...

Worst customer service of all time. Issued me a refund because cards did not match shipping and billing address which they fail to ever mention. Money was put into their account but they still issued me a refund. Now Ivwasted 2 weeks waiting on my cigars that r never coming in. Also these people will never answer your phone calls. I

5 Star Rating mostly because of a 20% off Sale price on Red River 16oz pipe tobacco(3) ...about $5 a bag cheaper than B&B. Shipping...Good ...4 days total. Past complaints about Tobacco General from other customers are mostly accurate ...but for price ...and selection ...Very Good. Last order was 10 days ago 8/24/2015

Been using this store for about a year. Not impressed. Sometimes packaging stinks and the tubes are received crushed. Often, it takes longer than 3 to 5 days to pack the boxes and ship out. Latest order I paid for 3-5 day shipping, 7 days later, still waiting. Looking for new place to shop.

When I first started ordering from them, they shipped my items in a day or two. Since last winter, the shipping has become slower and slower. The order I placed one week ago has still not shipped. I am fed up. Like others say, you get nowhere with customer service.

Never trust this company, First a fall it seems like all the employees seemed to be working illegally for this company! So i would recommend and notify USCIS to verify the people working for this company are American & legal workers. VERY DISAPPOINTING :-(

The worst company ever. Ordered three times and every time was WRONG. I felt bad for the guy in Alabama when his order was sent to me. My order? Who knows. Customer service will not return phone calls. STAY AWAY!!!
