I just recently had a very bad experience with Sears at Six Corners, Irving Park and Cicero. As so many people, Ive known Sears from when I was a child being taken there by my parents and grandparents. I have my own family now and have relied on Sears for mostly tools and work clothes. I recently took a new position with a major health care provider in Chicago and needed some new work pants. I purchased two pairs of pants, I made a mistake by not checking the size, one pair was longer than the other. I went to exchange the pants as well as purchase another pair at the Irving Park store even though I purchased the items at the Damen and Lawrence store. I was treated as if I were a thief by the stores assistant manager, a mexican woman whos name I did not get and the stores manager Rich. Ive returned items bought from one store to another store without incident. My receipt was the wrong receipt and the tags from the pants were not present, the pants were never worn. The assistant manager was very combative and would not assist me by calling the Damen store. I had to call the Damen / Lawrence store and spoke with an assistant manager there and they apologized and asked if I would go to their store. The issue is not resolved yet, even so, the most unprofessional managers Ive encountered at Sears. Once and or if I resolve this issue I doubt Ill ever shop at any Sears store. Theyve lost a long time loyal customer. Id rate them less than one star but to post one star has to be clicked on.....

Service Times (Auto Center and Package Pickup): Mediocre, at best.. Helpfulness: If YOU appeal to them, it varies. (Some of the younger individuals often times aloof when put on the spot about a certain product/questions on warranties etc. Certain departments have certain things they should know but ultimately if YOU the employee are selling an item, YOU have to SELL me on that item, and It comes as a surprise when sometimes youd have to contact a manager for something as basic as warranty status, features in comparison to other brands, etc. It does not hurt to read up on your company policies and product. Atmosphere 2/10 Easiness:5/10 Vibe: 0/10 Customer/Staff Relations: 2/10, pathetic, truly repugnant. I was under the impression that the customer comes first, and should be treated with utmost respect, even when things get heated, or work times increase. Merchandise In Stock : 10/10 The store was a good store in the early 2000s and early 90s. Now, not so much.

Not a lot of items here worth buying. We had a problem with an item, so we stopped here to see what could be done about it. Fortunately, they could exchange out item (as we were past 30 days for the return policy). However it took us 15 min for us to find something called the RC number, and another 20 for the manager to come over to approve the item. (Something about how she was taking a smoke break).

I love it! Shocked it isnt higher rated. Easy to find things and the staff is very helpful the lady who helped me yesterday was a bit shy but definitely a huge help and a pleasure to deal with. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes!
