Janie h Rating September 24, 2016 I purchased a battery October 20, 2014 from Advanced Auto Parts in Bolingbrook, Illinois that has a 36 month warranty. I went to Advanced Auto Parts in Bolingbrook to have the battery tested as I have been having car starting issues. I was told the battery needs charged. I asked the employee if I wasnt t in need of a new battery. Why should I have to take the battery to be charged and wait two hours for it to be charged on a, what may be, a repeating exercise. I feel charging the battery does not make sense as eventually I will need a battery. The employee said the meter did not read bad battery so therefore, I was not entitled to a battery replacement. Surly, the employee s incorrect and does not think because Im a woman that Im stupid. Im not in the habit of removing a car battery and certainly do not wish to drive to get a battery charged and wait two hours which could be often.. Really, what good is a warranty if it isnt honored

Manger Micheal is ignorant. He made several excuses to get me out of the store and not accept the return. I was in the store at 8:55pm, store closes at 9pm. First he wasted time while gossiping with other customer, then said cant accept the return as its over 9pm. Then he told me I wasted 2 minutes by not putting parts on the table. (I am like are you serious). Then said part is longer because its stronger (outer tie rod end). Its a exact fit for the car. Can you believe it? Ignorant as heck. And had employee on one of the desk with MacDonalds uniform. Hate this store now!

Awesome people! Every time I walk into Advance I am greeted and asked if I need help. I have chatted with Cameron, a very educated and well rounded person, about my vehicles and their issues. He has saved me money by trying other small fixes that cost less and end up fixing the bigger problems. He said that with todays car systems, one bad sensor can affect up to 4 other systems within the vehicle causing many codes to come up from the OBD2 port. The staff here are always willing to talk me through ways to fix my cars. Who else gives this sort of service at a parts store?

There was 4 people working and the line was long. Instead of taking care of immediate customers, they were putting stuff on the shelves. I was always taught to take care of the person who is front of you and hold off on the other stuff. Then the line gets down to only me waiting and the girl finally says "I can help whoever is next" while she is looking directly at me lol all I could do it shake my head at her as I put my merchandise on the counter then walked out

The employees were very helpful and greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. They were able to look up and find the tail light that I needed and the store manager, I think his name was Adam, even went outside and installed it for me! I would def go back. No more Autozone or OReilys for me! Every time I go to shop there they always go out of their way to help me, even when the store is busy.

Other times Ive been here the staff has been very nice. Tonight I asked for something very simple and the girl helping me wasnt helpful at all. I had my 2yr old daughter and she didnt offer to help me figure out which one was the product I needed like the staff had done in the past.

Big selection of course. A little pricier than Wal-Mart for staple items. But no one can beat Wal-Mart. Visit on a monthly basis for some reason or another. Never dissatisfied
