As a former Chicagoan, I was a long-time Jewel loyalist...and then I went to this store on a whim and now only grab a few things from Jewel. While some things are more costly than Jewel, others are not. You just have to pay attention to prices in *any* grocery if your primary concern is budget though. What really sold me on this store though is the great customer service any time I need help in the store. I swear they rounded up all of the nicest, most friendly people they could and must be paying them a decent wage. I like shopping in a store where you get the sense that everyone there cares about the place; its a rare find these days. What else is there to love? A great bulk food section for things like beans, flours, nuts, and so forth. This is appealing because I have some dietary restrictions and have to make most everything from scratch. Going to a health food store was more costly than Hy-Vee and their hours were not the best with a tight schedule. They have a health food section thats fab too when I do have to buy some packaged foods. I love that I know where the produce has come from. I love their general company philosophies - yeah, I was bored and read the site while waiting for the husb one night. Overall, I feel *good* about shopping at Hy-Vee and thats a really strange thing to say about a grocery store, but its true. I leave there in a good mood - and I normally hate shopping.

For The Market Grill Only: Went here for dinner on a Monday night. After being seated no employee visited our table for over 10 minutes(actually watched the clock). Three employees were just talking at the beverage station. We decided to go to the self serve buffet as we knew we could get served there. On the way out we asked where the manager was and a different group of three employees at the desk said he was in back. I explained the wait and problem to which the reply from one was"Im only a bus boy" as he stood there. I explained even a bus boy could go and explain to the manager. The main hostess just said "sorry". Terrible for a supposed high class restaurant setting.

Ive been to this place a few times now and I always go with the impression that Itll be ok place to eat for a reasonable price but I find im always disappointed. The service always takes just long enough to annoy you but no long enough to complain about it, the ambiance feels like youre eating at a fancy potluck and the food tastes like they heated up whatever prepacked food they were selling in the attached grocery store. There sushi is pretty sub-par but by no means is it inedible. Wednesdays they have half price sushi and appetizers so unless youre going then I definitely dont recommend dinning here. Overall its a slightly below average dinning experience.

Possibly the best supermarket in BloNo. Others seem to complain about prices in their reviews but we found them to be reasonable. The store has a good to great selection of items, though produce was poorly maintained by coastal standards. They have a great gluten-free section as well as the usual national brands of Dairy-free and Vegan products. The best way I can describe it to a fellow PNW person is to say its a cross of Fred Meyer and Hagen. Its a big store with all the usual things but also a larger specialty section than you would get unless you went to a Whole Foods or other premium grocer.

Weve been using the curbside service for a little while. Very happy to have this option in town as it saves time and reduces stress. Found the service to be very good overall but have had a few issues with items being forgotten (though still charged for), wrong items, or large swings in quantities relative to the order (think getting 5lbs of chicken when ordering 1.5lbs). None of this prevents us from using the service (again, the convenience is great) but would be nice to have a little more trust that the order will be fulfilled properly.

Kind of a miss today. Service almost seemed lackadaisically slow. Wife ordered chicken breast with her salad and it didnt come out, had to ask for it. When it did show up it was very undercooked. The Coke dispenser was giving out watered down Coke. Server didnt notice it was empty. Had to ask for a refill. Food was decent but I cant say Ill be inclined to hurry back.

As someone who worked for years at HyVee, I set the bar for customer service very high. I was surprised when a cashier, Asia, exceeded those expectations on the busiest day of the week by asking me how my day was going with genuine nterest. At a place and time, when were surrounded by hustle and bustle, its nice to have someone who gives you a moment and listens.

Great place to shop. I like that if you ever have a question or need help, everyone there is very well trained in customer service. Theres a noticeable difference in employees knowledge of their department and the effort they put in to help you and converse is great versus when youre at places like Walmart where you rarely experience that kind of great service

Very friendly staff, always someone walking around to just say hi or asking if you need help finding something. Shelves are always stocked and nice and neat. Store is always clean, aisles are extra wide, carts are always available, and all the check out lines are always open! Such a breath of fresh air!

The buffet/salad bar had one tray of fruit. Also you have to compete with shoppers for anything you want. Good luck. I cancelled my order and waited an eternity for the salad I ordered to arrive. Probably should have give this a one star rating, but shopping here is a good experience.

The store has a big selection of groceries one of the things I like about it is theyre able to order products that they dont have especially for you customer service is great the employees ask if they can help you and they have lots of cashiers working so you are in and out

They have your basic grocery store stuff but what sets them apart are all the great different food stations. You got your regular deli, meats, seafood, bakery, cheese, Italian, Asian, and a couple more Im sure in missing. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I enjoy their large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The layout of HyVee is easy to navigate, their employees have always been very kind. Both times that I have been to the market grill, I was very impressed with the freshness of their food.

Clean grocery story with everything you could want. Nice lighting that helps make it feel like another mega store. Staff very helpful and friendly. They even have a shop online option which means your groceries are ready and you just pick them up.

I attended a retirement party on Friday. The quality of the food and the presentation was fantastic! I was happy to hear that Hy-Vee had supplied everything! I will keep you in mind for future events work or home.

Waitor Steve was amazing!!! Steve went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed every second. Food, service and atmosphere were superb. Definitely will be returning and asking for Steve!
