As a casual eyeglass user while on my computer at work, I was intimidated by the idea of visiting a formal eye care office instead of just picking up low cost readers at the store. But my husband recommended this office and with every visit Ive always had a great experience - courteous staff, progressive technology, informative discussions about the health of my eyes. Weve since moved across town, but I am so comfortable with my care that I make a point to work travel time into my schedule just so I can continue to come to this practice. All around a class act.

Great service but it is very pricey. If you come into the office using a vision plan, this doctor will eat alot of your glasses and contact lens allowance for the general exam which I have never seen before. Most doctors operate within the exam funds and leave the glasses and contact $$$$ untouched. This is due to his high contact fitting charge of $69.00. Also, if you want to take your contact Rx elsewhere to get a better price on lenses the doctor will put up a fuss. I beat his contact lens price per box by almost $10.00. Next time I go elsewhere.

I started seeing Dr. Gallagher in spring of 2014 and the service has been great. In spring of 2015 I had PRK surgery through Wolfson Eye Institute in Sandy Springs and the Gallaghers have been taking care of all of the post-op care. Im six months post-op now and I feel that they have done both a wonderful job with my eyes both with and without eyeglasses. The staff has been nothing but friendly and have been very accommodating for my schedule (they do 7pm appointments which is great for a working professional). A+ doctors!

My family and I love Advanced Family Eyecare. Dr.s John and Jamie Gallagher and their staff are caring professionals who make you feel like family. My recent visit with Dr. Ellison was a pleasant one. He is kind, profession and talented. Steve and Chris are both excellent with choosing the proper eye-wear. After asking my husband and I a few questions, Steve picked out the perfect pair of frames for both of us in minutes. Astonishing and a great experience all around. We would recommend them highly!

This is an awesome office. The staff is friendly from check-in to check-out. Dr. John Gallagher has been instrumental in my eye health. He is consistently thorough and is always a pleasure to deal with. Dr. John is knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about the very best options for your vision and the health of your eyes. The staff is equally knowledgeable in each of their roles and are always friendly and helpful. Great optical office to place your trust in. They will earn it, no doubt.

Staff were unkind and rude. We wanted to know about the $40 and up contact lens fee that would not be included in a normal eye exam and were made to feel like we were a problem. Staff could not tell us if the fee would need to be self pay or included in the amount paid by our insurance. While office staff were checking with our insurance we were called for the exam and when we explained that we were waiting for insurance verification the tech rudely said that we would need to reschedule........

I have been a patient with Advanced Family Eyecare for about 3 to 4 years. Their staff is excellent and Dr. Gallagher(s) are the best. Either will take time to listen and understand your needs and will provide options for what works best for your lifestyle. I am very active outdoors but also spend a lot of time behind a computer screen. I have superb glasses and contacts the meet the needs of both perfectly. I highly recommend Advanced Family Eyecare for all your eye care needs.

Dr. John Gallagher is an excellent optometrist. I particularly like his thorough and accurate eye exams which have proven to be better than those I have received at other practices. I have never had any problems making appointments or being taken at my scheduled appointment time. I also highly recommend their on-site optician Chris when it comes to buying and getting fitted for eyeglasses. He is a real pleasure to work with!

Dr. Gallagher and his staff are fantastic. They will help with picking out glasses to working with any issues you may have with eye exams. I have been going there for 11 years and hope that Dr. Gallagher will continue for many years to come. He has helped me with eye infections working me in the same day and getting me deals on contacts and glasses. I have recommended him to my family and friends and will continue to.

Very prompt service - everyone is very professional and willing to provide explanations for both services and costs. There was no pressure to buy higher quality frames or services. There was actually no pressure to buy my glasses from that location - I could have walked out with my prescription and gone anywhere of my choosing to have it filled I chose to have it filled there because of their exceptional customer service.

Went into have an exam and found out they charge $100 for a contact fitting fee even though I already wear them. When I asked about it I was told its because Im a new patient. My former Family Eye Doctor in South Carolina didnt charge ridiculous fee like that. Greed is a terrible thing. They may be some nice folks but diffently have a bad business model. I was really surprised from all the good reviews I read.

My family and I have been coming to this eye doctor for years, I called to schedule my yearly eye exam.The receptionist over the phone is awfully rude. I understand that they are open one Saturday a month and was told to call back on Monday. I do so and apparently, all were already filled in less than 24 hours. Basically, it is not her problem, it is my problem and if I dont like it tuff.

I went in for my eye check up and everyone including the doctor was very nice and answered all my questions. The place was clean and felt almost brand new (they have been there 3 years). I felt no pressure to get glasses that day and even gave me the discount rate if I wanted to check out their selection at a later date. I will definitely go back and would recommend them to anyone.

Advanced Family Eye care was convenient in location, and I was thrilled with their friendly staff and Dr. Gossan who did my exam. As a bonus, I even received my new glasses very quickly.
