Although I would like to say I had a great experience here unfortunately I cannot. The people were nice and the shop was very clean but when I requested what I wanted my artist tried to talk me out of a black and grey tattoo and tell me it would be better with color. I denied the first few times he asked and finally settled for a touch of color but when it was said and done I still insisted on what I wanted and had pictures for reference . Now I have a tattoo that looks nothing like what I requested. Not a bad tattoo just not what I wanted . Although it may be my own fault for not arguing with the artist I feel as a professional you can make suggestions but always go with the reference that is brought in. I found it to be a disappointing experience overall. A tattoo artist should never belittle his clients opinions and take things into his own hand. So my advice for this shop is to not trust the artist to change your original design at all. And do whatever it takes to make him understand that it is not his choice.

I just had a tattoo done at Anonymous yesterday, and I was/am very pleased with the experience. Clay McCay was the artist who worked on my tattoo. He was very knowledgeable and talented, and made me feel very much at ease from start to finish. I wanted a specific design that fit within a certain price range, and although the design I brought to them was too intricate, Clay was able to tweak it to fit the tattoo location, as well as my budget. The end result was exactly what I had in mind. Everyone who has seen my ink so far has thought that it is amazing, and I have to agree!!! The shop is very clean and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. I want to get all of my future pieces done at Anonymous Tattoo!!! I urge anyone who is looking for exceptional work at a decent price to check them out!!!

(FYI: Im a chick, despite the name...) I needed a cover-up for a 15 year old small, failed tattoo on my lower abs. I booked Zack and gave him the following instructions: it cant be bigger than 4.5 inches, must be organic, feminine, and pretty (nothing evil or wicked) and with an Art Nouveau sensibility. Pretty specific, right? Zack NAILED it! I got the most beautiful tattoo Ive ever seen: a stylized peacock feather with lots of movement & color. It looks like its iridescent & blowing in the wind. STUNNING! And theres no indication that a tattoo exists underneath! Further, I had a REALLY great experience. This is where to go for your custom tattoo, but prepare to wait; these guys stay booked for weeks to months in advance. Yes, theyre that good.

I have had work done from other artists and other shops before, but none have taken the time and effort that these people have done with my work. The staff was super helpful and friendly, the shop was clean and well organized. It was not a complex tattoo, but the meaning behind it was very important, and the artist Ricky made it look more than what I envisioned it could have be. He gave me his opinion about placement and details and the end result was fantastic. I will be going back to him for touch up work on my other tattoos and for any new ink adventures in my future and that will require travel, but I feel it is worth it! I highly recommend this shop to anyone in or around the Savannah area.

I was absolutely blown away by my experience here. I live out of town, and as this was my first tattoo, I had a good deal (and probably obnoxious number) of questions. Dean was awesome and supportive, giving his advice and letting me know what would look the best through email. When I came into the studio, I was even more impressed. I would never have imagined that I could call a tattoo studio beautiful, but Anonymous is just that. Its clean and welcoming, and I felt right at home. My tattoo was small, so it didnt take long at all. My tattoo was beautiful the day I got it, and it healed quickly. I have a few more tattoos planned, and I wont be going anywhere but here.

The shop is beautiful and super clean. My tattoo came out great. But the artists were rude. and although I will rant and rave about how great my tattoo is that i got here, and everyone else who does will too. I think an overall experience is important. and although they are very knowledgable about their stuff, they have no manners. They spoke in a condesending tone and gave me attitude when i had questions. I tried to ignore it and still got my tattoo. but just the horrible attitudes from more than one of the artists there will keep me from goign back. MANY friends and random people in savannah say they are very rude to their clients as well and have bad experiences.

I asked for a design to be drawn up for me and the artist informed me that I would only be able to see it the day of our tattooing appointment. I asked him if there would be hard feelings if I didnt want to get the design the same day I saw it for the first time and he promised me there wouldnt be any. Unfortunately, thats exactly what happened. The tattoo design was beautiful and I was excited about it, but I had some concerns with the size (half-sleeve). I asked to reschedule the appointment for sometime in January and the artist became angry and told me I could get my tattoo somewhere else. They also took my deposit.

Couldnt speak more highly of the place. The location inspires art from the moment you walk in. Natural lighting plays a perfect backdrop for the artists who create, and eventually use your body as a canvas. Each artist has a specialty, and the entire staff was welcoming and professional. From the initial moment I walked through the doors, to most recent add-on, UNBELIEVABLE service... Certainly helps the men are easy on the eyes ;) I look forward to presenting my vision for future art being done, and having it created, and inked. -On this particular visit, inked by: Zack Spurlock

Went with a friend and was not very pleased with what was told to her. One of the artists had flat out told her that the tattoo she wanted would not look good with her skin color and said the design had too much detail to his liking, then proceeded to try and convince her to get something else. The tattoo artist was not a very good representation of the store and we will definitely not be going again. I also would not recommend going here if you have tan or darker skin

Took a friend in for their first tattoo. Ricky was great! We brought in a drawing with personal meaning, and Ricky did a great job in keeping to the original! Many questions were asked and Ricky explained all answers clearly. The entire shop was clean, relaxed and inviting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will be going in to add to my own ink and will recommend this shop to anyone looking to add ink or get their first piece.
