Im used to walking into military surplus stores and not getting noticed until Ive found the item I was looking for and Im ready to pay. This weekend I visited Army-Navy Discount Center outside of Atlanta and I feel like I had the best experience Ive had at any type of retailer. Businesses should take notice of this kind of customer service. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by Mike who helped me find and make the best selection for what I was looking for. I was able to try on what I found and he took my item to the front while I browsed the thousands of other items they have at this store. I ended up purchasing a few more items than what I originally came in for but it was because I live 3 hours away and I dont get this kind of service in East Tennessee. Next time Im in Atlanta I will visit these guys again.

Good store.. went there to look at the Benchmades for my sister, as my family traveled to my grandfathers. They actually had a nice selection, and the employee I spoke to at length with about the Benchmade knives was very knowledgeable. Between the employee and myself, we convinced Dad to get a mini-griptillian for my sister and one for himself. The prices were a good 20% lower than retail, combined with a generous military discount, dad only paid ~$140 for the two $95 knives. After a quick browse thereafter, it was clear that there was a huge clothing and gear selection. Dad found an ammo can he liked.. for a good price. Great store.

Good store and good selection of new gear. There is not much SURPLUS there but if you need new gear this is a great place to go. Prices were about what I could pay on the internet ($20-$45 per camo shirt or pants depending on the print). If you found a surplus shirt or pant in your size there it would save you a few bucks. They had all the camo prints out right now. Nice selection of boots. Staff was helpful although I do think they did try to talk me out of surplus gear into new. The store in Midtown has better selection of used pants and jackets. All in all I will be going back there and buying new equipment from them when I need it!

This is a GREAT family run store with a knowledgeable and friendly staff and LOTS of gear to choose from. I am a slightly difficult customer too, since I roll around in my wheelchair and always have to take stuff home to try on (since it just takes too long to try clothes on in the store). But they frequently let me take a few sizes home and then come back and pay for the one I want. That is really cool. One day Im totally going to rip em off and never return (...just kidding). Basically, this is a good shop run by good people and I definitely recommend them. Mark

Great Customer Service! They always greet you with a genuine smile and help you if you want to get whatever you need. I work for a landscaping company in Atlanta and we always get working pants for our employees here at a very good price. Quality is very durable. Personally, I have purchased a few Navy apparel items and never had problems finding what I need. I havent visited the store other people have mentioned but I visited Military Depot on Hwy 140. and not happy at all with them...but that is a separate review.

I am not an employee, just a customer. I dont buy a lot of surplus, but have been there twice to make purchases. I was very happy with the customer service (better than Hodges, which doesnt have customer service at all). Not a huge place, but has a bit of this and that, primarily re-production milspec stuff and work/utility clothing. I was very happy with my visit and will go again. I found that several employees were very interesting and informative to talk to casually, even regardless of your purchase plans.

Awesome! I had been looking for womens EMS/EMT pants all over Georgia....Army-Navy Discount had the most extensive range, style & sizing. I was greeted by 3 staff members as i walked in - continuously staff checked in with me to see if i needed any help. After terrible service and no product availability at local competitor - I hit the jack-pot!!! Great staff, tidy displays & my pants were $20 cheaper than even online. A great shopping experience. I will def be supporting this business & highly recommend them.

Pretty good quality products and a good selection... but I found them to be dishonest (at least by my standards). I purchased an item from there and left. I returned back a few hours later to purchase a few more of the same item... and he had DOUBLED the price. I DONT do business that way!!! I WONT be back. Go a few miles south on 41 to Hodges. MUCH larger selection anyway. Plus... I think they employ some wounded vets there. Id rather give them my business... and will do so in the future.

Friendly staff, I dont think anyone in there is prior military with their knowledge base though. The items there are very overpriced and not much is made in the USA. Mostly foreign countries aka China. Felt like I was bothering the clerk behind the counter, stood there for a few minutes before he stopped playing with his phone. Overall just not a great store. If you want some decals for your bumper...they have a few nice ones. They should rename their store, The Asian Imports Store lol

Really great nice store, the little items at the front should be more openly advertised. The can openers and the key chain bullets would make cool gifts for family. I got a medium sized tactical pack and fits the mole strips of my knife cover nicely. One small complain. ive noticed how the mre crate sells the mre meals at $80, are they genuine military mre meals if so thats justifies the price but for a camping trip i would order off amazon, great store will certainly visit again. :-)

Went in to replace the knife I have had for 6 yrs and lost. When I asked if they carried it, I was told NO, " That He doesnt want that knife!" He refused to order it and instead I was told that I should get a "real" knife. He tried to tell me how many problems it had and why he couldnt give it away. I have never had a problem with it! In my opinion a "real" knife is one that can be used for years. One that YOU would buy again. Belittling a person likes and dislikes is not good business!

I hit the jackpot finding this army navy store! I am preparing for a backpacking trip and am so grateful for the incredible help that I recevied. I was greeted immediately and was guided through their entire selection. The employees were extremely knowledgeable about their products and were able to help me find what I needed. I have since tested out the equipment and I could not be more satisfied! Everything is lightweight, sturdy, and easy to pack. I have no doubt that I will be back!

Great store. Greeting by a very nice young man upon entry and manager was extremely helpful in directing me to the gear that I needed. Gear is top notch. Excellent quality and great value! I even use them to ship gear to me as I dont live in this state but when I am in town, I definitely stop by to stock up. Highly recommended. I have shopped in military and L/E supply houses all over the country and this is one of THE best!
