I have been living in Douglas County a little over two years now and I have noticed that black and white patrons of these area businesses treated differently. My first visit to the Walmart in Douglasville Georgia two years ago was not good due to the fact that the door greeter I noticed seems to only check people of color receipts and allow white customers to exit without checking their receipts which is clearly racially motivated. I informed the store manager about this behavior but I see the practice still persist to this day. I stopped patronizing Walmart after this incident and in fact Sunday January 3, 2015 was the first time in almost two years since I have shopped at any Walmart. The employees both black and white are practicing a subtle form of racism toward people of color at this location. Black men at this Walmart are treated like pariahs and I would not recommend this particular Walmart for people of color especially black men until they work on race relations at this store. I was ostracized not only by the staff but also by the customers mainly females white and black who seem to think that every black man that they encounter is somehow after their purse. Regina the African American person who is in charge of your auto service desk clearly has an problem with black customers and I think it’s mostly with black men because when I initially entered the department she did not greet me at all and she seemed irritated at me approaching her to pay for an oil change before it was completed along with a few items that I picked up in the store and she seemed to get upset with me about my trying to pay for the oil change early and abruptly pushed my items aside in discuss. I talked to Susan the manager on duty about the way I was treated and she seemed concerned but another visit a week later and nothing has changed. I also noticed that black and Hispanic customers who visit this Walmart are routinely treated different from their white counterparts and that is RACISM. I was totally ignored by the Walmart staff both black and white but I noticed the white patrons were given the royal treatment. Black and Hispanic shoppers will experience what sociologist call “unconscious bias” which means because of their skin color will not receive the same level of service as their white counterparts. I have noticed at this Walmart that it was both black and white employees who are guilty of this form of racism. I am deeply disappointed that people of color would emulate the racial bias of intolerant white Americans. Racial bias is not good for business and people like me are watching!

Ive only have had bad experiences at this WalMart. Customer service is horrendous. Nobody picks up the phone until the 25th ring. I went to pick up something I ordered on line and stood for 15 minutes waiting at a window. People could see me waiting put no one asked if I needed help, I did not want to interrupt their work, I was politely waiting for them to get to a stopping point. Even worse the manager stood talking personal business to another employee and they didnt bother to help either and they knew I was there unattended. She is useless. Two Christmas in a row I have to gone to catch after season specials. Things that clearly marked seasonal dont ring up clearance. When I asked the cashier she said sorry they are not on sale. What?? I was told later on that is pure laziness and they did not want to spend time following through. Better yet, I was in the garden shop and noticed some plants on sale but with no price. So I asked the associate if they were on sale. She sarcastically turned around the whole store and said "they are all on sale, everything we have is on sale" I felt demeaned and embarrassed for her because I realize she was ignorant. When you call corporate they take your complaint but then they put you in contact with a manager at the store. Of course nothing ever gets resolved. I dont shop there.

Terrible customer service. I received a 3-movie set from there as a gift. I found that one of the movies was missing. I asked if I could just get what was advertised. I got the run around for about 15 minutes. When I was able to speak to someone who was near a manager, I heard his entire conversation because he didnt put me on hold. Then I heard him say, "Im just gonna hang up." I was disgusted because I was polite and I always shop at Walmart (of course he didnt know that). I think they have a jankie-ass return/exchange policy when it comes to movies. I understand the copyright issue but there should be some sort of guarantee that when we purchase something that is sealed up, we can be assured that the product will actually be in the box when we open it. From now on, IF I buy anymore movies from there, I will be opening them in the store to make sure that the item(s) is present before I spend my money on it. I really hate Walmart with a passion, so I doubt Ill even want to shop there anymore. And thats a shame because I used to really love them.

Ive used 8 Walmarts in diff parts of the country and this one is the absolute worst for customer service. Never enough cashier lanes open, and the majority of the cashiers who are working are very, very, very SLOW (although most are very nice). Every time I have been in this store I see employees in groups of 2 or 3 who are gathered between aisles just laughing and talking with one another, while one or two others can be seen actually trying to earn their pay and help the customers. I used the restroom only one time and the odor was terrible. They shut down their fresh seafood section. I bought two turkeys at two different times of the year and they were both bad right out of the wrapper; they gave me back my money, but I was out the time it took to drive back AND I had to change my dinner menu and we ate much later than we wanted. Im only ONE customer, imagine how many complaints are out there about this store!!! This store is very poorly managed. Im going to start using coupons to save money and shop elsewhere.

We bought a propane tank from here ,when we realized it was empty my husband called to ask could we exchange it for one that was actually full the lady says "we aint got nuttin to do wid dat" . When my husband ask what do you mean you dont have anything to do with that she says"oh well dats a different company we aint got nuttin to do wid dat" My husband says i bought it from walmart..she was quite persistant that she was not going to correct the issue and continue to ignore the issue.My husband ask if she was a manager she said yes, he said well its obvious to me you are not going to help so put me on the phone with another manager..she hung up on him...he called back and another employee tried to defend her by saying she put you on hold..now you all know when your cell phone says call ended you were hung up on..We went to Hiram wal mart where the associate exchanged it with not a single issue,was apologetic,professional and spoke proper english
