I went in on Saturday May 24th to get an oil change. The gentleman at the counter informed me it would take a good bit of time to do it so Id have to drop it off. I wasnt in a position to do this so I asked to make an appointment for the following day. We agreed on 2:00pm. I arrived at 1:50pm the next day to be a few minutes early as the gentleman the day before suggested so they could get me right in and get the oil change knocked out. The first issue is that apparently they had no record of my setting up the appointment the day before. As I handed him my keys I asked about how long it would take. I was thinking hed say well get you in and out quickly...maybe 20-30 minutes. He said it would take 45 minutes at least. In my head I wondered why even make an appointment for a service that should take 15 minutes tops yet would end up taking over an hour. The entire time this gentleman seemed disinterested in me and my service and was rude to other customers on the phone and would say negative things to himself about each one after he would hang up the phone. In addition, the 2 other shop guys seemed very disinterested in their jobs as well and worked very slowly. They left the grease paper for shoes in the car and the steering wheel, driver side door, and hood all had grease/oil on them as the mechanic clearly did not wash his hands or wear gloves during the oil change process. Overall the service was bad. I did not feel valued as a customer and probably will not be returning to this pep boys location.

Took a fleet vehicle for oil change. The store neglected to check the required oil for the car and put in a 5w30 conventional oil instead of 0w20 synthetic stated in the manual. When I called, the manager gave me a bunch of excuses and hung up on me. In addition the wipers were replaced without notice. They charged me for three wipers when they only replaced 2. When I asked for the old ones back, I was told that they belonged to the fleet company and cant be given to me. The same wipers that they threw in the garbage. A way to cover up the unnecessary wiper change. By the way, the car was only 3 months old. Not sure if its the culture at Pep boys or just this store. I wouldnt go back to this particular one. Update: Went to the Alpharetta Pep Boys on Atlanta highway. They removed the conventional oil and put in the correct oil, without charge. Ill be going to this store from now on. Disappointed from Pep Boys customer service. No call back and no update on my complaint. Had to call the fleet customer service at Pep Boys again. They offered to remove the charge for the wipers. Customer service should be proactive, not reactive. All of the negative reviews on this site has the boiler plate response to contact customer service. Im not impressed so far.

went here for 2 years, bought tires and got my oil changed here, no complaints. Last december i needed new brake pads so I brought it in for service. After driving my car for a month it was not driving the same. My car made a noise like a turbine winding down and didnt brake correctly. I brought my car back to pep boys where they told me nothing was wrong. I took my car to another mechanic who showed me what pep boys did and what a proper installation should look like. Basically pep boys over charged me for lesser quality parts and then told me nothing was wrong with my improperly installed brake pads. After going back a second time to get them to resurface my brake pads, the mechanic tried to convince me I needed another part that would be $250, and that my pads were fine but they would resurface them to make me happy. Thirty minutes later told me they could not resurface them because the machine was broken but they would take sandpaper and scuff them. I asked that they please take my car down and let me go, and they scuffed my pads anyways. The mechanics lied to me and didnt expect me to notice that what they were saying didnt add up. I definitely recommend trying a different shop for even routine matinence of a car. I will be going elsewhere

Just got back from purchasing tires, alignment and oil change. After 2 1/2 hours drive off and my vehicle is aligned worse than what it was before I arrived. I was first in @ 7am, so no idea why it would take them that long. Truly the tech was working on my vehicle the whole time. I called the GM to inform him and he said I can come back but it would be 45 minutes before they could tend to it or come back another day. Oh why did I come back here when I dealt with their slow service last time I purchased tires. Be warned.

I called Pep Boys and Darrel answered. He was extremely polite on the phone and I let him know I needed to have my tire repaired because I found a nail in it. I set up an appointment for 11:30. I got to Pep Boys at 11:15 they took my car immediately and had it done in 30 minutes. Which was amazing since I was on my lunch break at work. I also was extremely impressed with the entire Team at Pep Boys. Every person I saw/spoke with from the moment I arrived until the moment I left was extremely friendly and polite.

In the past month I have taken my car to this store for a rack and pinion and to have my AC fixed. The manager, Darrell Norwood is absolutely AMAZING. He dealt with me honestly and with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Mike, who fixed my AC this past Saturday, was also great. He did professional and QUICK work. I plan to continue taking my old Mercedes clunker here for service.

Had a flat this morning on the way to work. Called in to see if they were open at 6:55am. Darrell answered told me pull in and he would fix the tire asap...and they had me out in less than 30 minutes and gave me a free cup of coffee. Great Service!!!! Thank you, Darrell for hooking me up quickly in my time of need!!!

I brought a lawn mower tire to them ask them if they could pop the bead on it they didnt even try to put in their machine Ive seen other people do it before I have seen it work in the past Ross couldnt be bothered. This was a 1/star till the owner got back and hes doing ana amazing job on the others now

Been here a couple of times now, they do a good job and dont try to sell you random services or parts you dont need. The only thing they could improve is calling when your vehicle is done. Ive had my oil changed and tires replaced at this location and dont have experience with other services.

They completely ignored what I said to them in person and they did not fix anything but made my car entirely worse. They were very rude over the phone and got defensive when I told them they didnt do what I asked them to do.
