I am so disgusted and disappointed at the discrimination that I received from your employees, Anita and Robin, at your Athens Georgia location. Although, I had my receipts, I was denied a refund. When I first entered the store, Robin looked at my receipt and stated that she could not refund fabric purchase from another store. I then called and spoke with a manager at the store I purchased it from and she stated, "As long as I have the receipt and it hasnt been cut I can return it at any store." (Thats what I thought) But not at your Athens Georgia location. The return policy doesnt apply to everyone. My receipt has a total purchased of $280. I am a well known Fashion Designer in Atlanta Georgia and shop here almost daily. I was returning fabric that I purchased on July 22 for a Fashion Show that I am no longer participating in. The fabric was never even unfolded from when I originally purchased it. After I called the store in Conyers, Anita then made up a different reason as to why she couldnt provide a refund. She stated that she couldnt return that large of an amount of fabric. I then decided to compromise and told her that I didnt have to return it all there. I could return the rest the following day or at the Conyers store. She stated you cant return any because you didnt purchase it here. I asked for a manager. She went to the register and called her manager. When she came back she stated the manager said that she could only return $50 of my fabric. I drove over 30 miles to that Joanns for me only to be able to return 2 items. Your website says refunds MAY NOT be available for refunds over $100. Nowhere does it say $50 or you can only return at the store you purchased from. You all need to seek diversity in the Athens Georgia store and maybe LOYAL customers wont be considered less worthy! I found some fabric in my local Arkansas store but they only had half the amount I needed. I looked online and they were completely out of stock, called the home office & they were of absolutely no help (didnt even mention that they could transfer from store to store) so I decided to try this store because I have some friends in Athens that could mail it to me. So, I called this store and the sweetest, most helpful lady answered and they happened to not have the fabric but she found a store that did, explained the store to store process and got me rolling in the right direction. She knew she wasnt getting a sell, but still took the time to help me. I wish I would have gotten her name, but major kudos to her for having great customer service in a world were it is getting REALLY hard to find! Thank you Athens store!

I have found Jo-Ann on Alps to be a really unpleasant place to shop for fabric and notions. For one, the store is very poorly organized, and you have to wander through the whole place to find what you are looking for. This might be a consequence of all of the seasonal items they carry taking room away from actual sewing and craft supplies. If you ask a salesperson where something is, there is a 50% chance that you will get a rude or exasperated response. Second, the selection of fabrics, especially fashion fabrics, is really limited. It is too bad. If this store was less of a hassle to shop in I would go there all the time.

Terrible. I went up to the fabric cutting counter, the lady there looked at me, the fabric I was holding (which was just muslin. Nothing fancy or hard to cut), back up at me, gave me a stink eye and walked away. She got someone else to help me. I guess she was "too busy" sitting on her ass to cut fabric. Im not going back here. Ill stick to the one in Snellville or go to Hancock Fabrics instead.

I shop this store quite often, and I find it to be very well organized, with lots of coupon opportunity and a very helpful staff...My sister is a very advanced seamstress, and she too finds it to be quite well stocked and the customer service excellent. I can say that I have never been disappointed in either the availability of product of the helpfulness of the staff..

Worst Joanns ever! Very small selection, one employee in store, no "public" restrooms (had to walk over to Kroger for my 4-year-old to go potty and didnt bother to go back to the store). Am driving all the way over to the Snellville store location, where I lived for 12 years, because that store is awesome.

Well organized with a large selection of crafting and sewing items as well as some decor and organizational items. Super nice sales people with lots of knowledge they are happy to share. Only draw back is they need more of them. Still one of the best Joanna Ive ever been in.

The store is a little smaller than pretty much any Jo-Anns Ive ever been to -- but the employees are so helpful! Frances, Edie, and Carly are always very kind and are genuinely interested in their customers. And they go the extra mile to help you find what you need.

Very small with narrow, crowded aisles. The store has their best sellers but dont look for anything "special". The employees are helpful but the store is undermanned much of the time. Still, much better than Hobby Lobby and cleaner than Hancocks.

I have to agree with the previous reviewers....the selection is very poor, poorly organized and I always leave wishing I had just gone somewhere else because I didnt find what I was looking for.

This store address in Athens GA links to salt lake city Utah in Google maps... Go figure. Anyway, weve had good experiences here in UT.
