I received a card in the mail from Ace Hardware advertising walk behind mower service for $69.95. The flyer specifically says that the special includes: oil change, air filter inspection, fuel filter inspection, spark plug replacement/gap, RPM set to factory specifications, lubrication point service, cable and control adjustment, blade sharpening/replacement, tire and wheel hub inspection, transmission/rear end service, etc. This "Special Includes" section was in regular sized print. In much smaller print at the botton was print that indicates the offer expires on 5/1/14 and that parts were not included. The clerk said nothing about this when I brought it in. The $69.95 is in large print and the Special Includes section is readable and there is nothing in it to suggest parts are not included, which being the case, the disclaimer should have been included in this section. Instead, like a low class operation, this important piece of information was in very small print at the bottom of the page with the sole purpose of deceiving customers. Rhonda Eden the president of the store basically called me a fool for not reading the small print. I consider her handling of the matter to be as distasteful as the deceptive marketing. I will not do business with cheats and this is what this matter boils down to.

Ive been a long time Ace customer due to superior products and knowledgeable personnel. Ive NEVER been stumped at Ace Hardware. They generally have anything/everything I need for any project. I recently moved to Woodstock and the Bells Ferry Ace Hardware is closest to my new home. Today was the fourth time Ive visited this store and came away empty handed. They have a very limited inventory of common plumbing repair parts or gas fittings. Today I needed replacement parts for a common washing machine supply valve. They had NONE and used the same old excuse; "We dont carry those parts." If youre looking for one of those $1000 Egg Grills they have everything you need for that. I bet those are rolling out the door by the truck load. :-( Do yourself a favor if youre a do it yourself kind of person. Go somewhere else if youre looking for a wide assortment of repair parts for plumbing, electrical or gas projects. Ace Hardware has seen the last of me.

This store like many other Ace locations is full of useful things not found in the big box stores, and reasonably priced. However, one of the employees (older gentleman with glasses) at this location need to become acquainted with Aces return policy when it comes to online orders (30 days). He tried to tell me that they dont accept returns for online orders. First of all, I picked up the $16 item at this store. Secondly, the receipt given to me by the store clearly says online orders are eligible for a full refund within 30 days. A friendly female clerk promptly refunded my money to the other employees dismay. But not for the pretty/friendly female clerk doing the right thing, I wouldve rated this location 2 stars (one star for location + one star for variety of merchandise). If Ace wants to compete in some way on the web, it ought to make certain all employees are familiar with online orders and returns.

I have lived in the area of this store for years. I saw it when it was good, and Ive seen it when it was just terrible. Since the new owners have taken over the store a few years ago, it has undergone drastic improvements. The level of service increases every year, their stock, and the store appearance also get better just about every time I come in. The owners and management staff are truly committed to helping customers and improving. The power equipment side is who I deal with most often, and they have always done a fantastic job. They have even spent the winter finding new suppliers for products to help get the same great products at much better prices. They have once again proven that they are here to stay and are committed to helping as much as possible. I will definitely remain a loyal customer.

Look thru these reviews. the only good ones were written by the management or the employees. this past saturday, i tried to rent a piece of equipment. i called when the store opened and got placed on never-ending hold each time. so, i drove there and, even 30 minutes after the store opened, they were still setting up. i walked in an after getting the attention of one of the employees, she directed me to the back area of power tools. she said they were really busy (they were the ones that wouldnt pick up the phone). so, i walk back there and low and behold the two guys are sitting there eating their breakfast. REALLY BUSY. a friend warned me about this store before i called, and i wish i didnt bother. fool me once, shame on me.

I stopped in to shop for a new gun. Needless to say I do not think I will stop there again for much of anything. I waited patiently to speak to someone about purchasing a firearm and was more or less blown off. Not only after waiting to speak to someone about purchasing, I was more or less ignored when I wanted to ask questions about the specific handgun I was inquiring about. The gentleman behind the counter did assure me though if I purchased a firearm there that they would "make sure"I always had ammunition for my weapon. I find that an empty promise to be making. I do not think I would ever stop here specifically to shop for a weapon, maybe headwear items or lawn equipment, but firearms I would go elsewhere.

Very dishonest people at this location. Allowed the equip repair side to work on my small chainsaw. They charge $34.99 flat fee. They reported a day later that cylinder wall was scorched and scratched and the saw could not be repaired. I recovered my saw and did not receive any portion of my refund. Took the saw to the 2-Bs repair shop off Olde Highway 41. The techs said that the saw had been stripped of random parts by Ace. 2-Bs shop fixed for $40.00. Saw runs like a champ. Avoid these thieves at ACE on Bells Ferry. Ace you should drop your franchise with these predators.

I love this store, our employees and customers. We work very hard to have what people want and need and we are expanding in all departments as we can. We strive to have a reputation that matches our character. We are honest and hard working, but do not claim to be perfect. Please let us know if we did not meet your expectations. We deeply value each customer and are committed to providing the highest level of service.

Dont get your keys made at this ACE. We had the Manager who didnt know how to make a house key...we asked for 3 and none of them work - not even close. They were the wrong width and length. We waited 10 minutes for someone who couldnt even figure out which key template to use. Ugh. We will go to Home Depot tonight and get it done properly.

Everyone was very helpful and had great customer service. I will definitely go back! I was able to meet the owners who are there everyday and they have already made changes to the store and they stated they are updating it even more.

Prices in store are as of an convenience store. They will hassle you a bit and attempt to send you packing if you try to return an item, even if the item is not what you were told it is.
