If I could give 0 stars, I would. The lady who works at customer service, long dark hair and glasses, was very rude. We went in in hopes of buying a couple model kits and a book. As we were looking at the model kits this lady watched us like she was expecting us to steal (and we were not suspicious looking: no backpack/purse, no baggy clothes.. we had just gotten off work), we were holding 3 model kits bc we didnt know what we wanted yet and we set them down to look at something else. Not even a minute goes by and this lady comes over and takes the boxes and put them behind the counter. I went over and told her that we were looking at those trying to decide which to buy. She then says that she can put them back on the shelf for us like we dont have the money or something.. She acted like she thought it was abandoned merchandise, yet she was watching us the whole time and we were standing right there when she took them. She was very rude and unprofessional. After we took them back she called a couple of managers out and all 3 were watching us. We ended up putting our stuff down and leaving. I do not work my ass off to be judged and harassed when I go book shopping. I am a successful business owner, and have a night job. I do not need to steal bc I have plenty of money to buy the things I want, and I know that it is wrong to steal so I wouldnt do it even if I were broke. I am very upset, this use to be one of my favorite stores, but now the people who work there are unfriendly, rude, and judgemental. I will not be going back to this store, and I would not recommend any friends or acquaintances to go there either.

On Sat., 7/31, I drove up to Melbourne store from Vero Beach with the anticipation of my usual wonderful experience at Barnes. Never happened. I wanted a book but forgot the name and author so I asked for a copy of the NY Times best sellers list from two of your sale people and they looked at me totally blank like I had lost my mind. I asked where non-fictions were located and I got a lecture on how they are displayed and it was done unpleasantly. Found several books on my own. Then, at check out I walked up and said, "HI", no response and again was waited on by one unpleasant, dour girl n/o Ashlynn who acted like she was doing me a favor by merely being there. I am a new Member and am having second thoughts about a 45+ minute drive in the future to be treated badly. What has happened to the former delightful, helpful, fun personnel who totally knew how to extend positive customer service?

One of my favorite places to just chill with a book and some coffee in the cafe. Store is well kept, except for bathrooms which are generally clean but definitely in need of a remodel, age is showing. Cafe has plenty of seating but wish they had electrical outlets available for charging your devices. Wi-Fi is pretty good as well. Can usually watch steaming videos though occasionally they will drop out. The store is pretty logically laid out so browsing the titles for new releases or favorite subjects is pretty easy and they frequently have interesting items for sale on the kiosks.

Honestly? This place has fell from the wondrous glory I once saw it for. Im pretty sure the company itself slashed back the slightly later closing times. It was nice to kick back here until midnight on a weekend. Now it closes by 10 like many of the other places here, limiting the options of things to do in town that isnt drinking. Also, I cant help but notice over the last few years that the humor section keeps getting moved and it is shrinking. Who doesnt love a good laugh? Cant get that anymore from my formerly favorite section. At least the other sections remain relatively the same.

More like zero stars...Ive been a long time b&n fan but this Melbourne location has some people working at it that are very rude. I stopped by to see how this location paired up and Ill never go back, the parking lot is cramped, the sections were in disarray and the "employees" are cold and uncaring. Simply asking for direction to a section of books seems hassle them. Rather go online and get used books than to provide that store with money to continue their " services."

I basically live at B&B Im always up to date on new books and expanding my book collection. The only thing I have a problem with is how expensive the food and drinks are, also the B&B club. I dont think its cool how you have to PAY to be on the club just to get discounts? That needs to be changed in my opinion, but all in all what a lovely story. Books-a-million comes in a close second!

The store was pretty much empty of customers very little customers there I was trying to find a salesperson to help me and I could not for almost an hour. When I went and spoke to somebody about this they said that theyre helping other people and theyll be with you whenever they can waited at customer service 20 minutes again nobody acknowledged me whatsoever. Terrible employees

The store was clean and well maintained with a good selection of stock. The bathrooms look to be attended to on a regular basis. Unlike most of the Barnes & Nobles Ive been to, this one had the coffee bar on a raised dias in the center of the store, which I rather liked. It was enjoyable to be able to sit and enjoy a coffee there rather than be stuffed into a corner.

This Barnes and Noble not only has worse prices than what you find online or in Borders, but they also auto-charged me for membership renewal over a year after I cancelled my membership. It has been over two weeks and the money still hasnt been refunded to my account. I just spent an hour on the phone waiting for a manager at 1-800-The-Book to no avail.

If I could give zero stars I would. Lady that tried to help me was rude. Out of the 8 books I was looking for zero were in stock. When I asked to order one they said it would take at least a week and that it would be more expensive to order it. So over priced and memberships have to be paid every year. They just all around suck!

Somehow this place still exists despite declining sales for the company. Its clean inside but prices are much higher than Amazon so its good to see things in person and then buy elsewhere for cheaper. Their kids programs seem to be pretty popular and big groups of families come in for them so thats pretty nice.

A nice place to study at. Not a huge amount of people enter the bookstore. They have a lot of newer books on their shelves, but the workers that are working there dont really pay attention to the people that need help. They are usually holed up in the back of the store.

My favorite bookstore by far, staff is super friendly and love being able to get a drink while looking around. And the hardcover collectible editions that they sell are so ridiculously beautiful, I just got the Beauty and the Beast one and love it.
